    Does it necessarily have to be an island? I was mostly thinking of mainland terrain with a coastline, lakes rivers and swamps

    Looking for mig-29 expert.

    This might be off-topic, but could it be possible to put a vertical speed indicator on an artificial horizon? This way we'd have a velocity vector, you know the little -ó- symbol on the HUD, which shows where the plane is going... could make landings a helluva lot easier if it could be done. I also had some thoughts about bitchin' betty yelling "Pull up! Pull up!" when altitude<x and speed>y. Somebody also mentioned about a missile lock/gun aligned sound in another thread.

  7. Oh... and again some cosmetics nitpicking. The weapons pylon needs remodeling... it should look something like this Also i noticed the tail hook seems to be completely missing along with the little fins on the LERXes which are used to improve airflow on the rudders. Also paint the AMRAAMs grey with dark grey fins and a white nose I also noticed that the sidewinders seem to miss everything else but the Antonov transporter and choppers. You're probably using Kegetys' sidewinders huh? The reason i'm being such a nitpick is that the F/A-18 is THE favorite aircraft of mine, and i want to see it done right, although it means more work for the modding party! Bear with me!
  8. I have to agree with Too tall about the canopy. When taxiing along the airfield, you have to slow down below 20kts many times and it looks silly with the canopy opening and closing every now and then while taxiing. Why not simply make it so that the canopy opens when turning the engine off and vice versa. Of course i can see it would be cool to see a pilot snapping a salute when taxiing down the taxiway with the canopy open, but since you can't salute in the driver's seat what's the point Oh! and if you want to increase the "eye candy" factor further, why not make a ladder fold down from the port LERX(leading-edge root extension) while the canopy is opening. Might be too much tho

I did some test flying yesterday and here's what i've come up with: aircraft model: Hornet's airbrake is an opening panel located right behind the canopy, not on the wings. cockpit model: Lot of work to do! The instrument panel seems to be too far away in the front. Move it abt. 30-40cm:s backward, so it's just about next to the canopy frame. Also the instrument panel's glare cover seems to be blocking some of the HUD and i'm not even going to mention the stick Weapons: reduce the vulcan ammo capacity to 578 rounds, also IMHO change the firing sound... I prefer this one Also decrease the vulcan accuracy just a wee bit, as to make it more effective in air-to air. I like the HE rounds tho! coding: RWR light doesn't seem to go off after the threat is gone although the beeping does. things to add: HUD, this has been introduced to the ofp community, yet i've seen it in only 2 aircraft addons! I'd like to see it used in this addon with at least pitch/roll and vertical speed, maybe even airspeed&alt. Nobody uses the backup instruments these days! Â Flares, make that RWR useful. Bitchin' Betty to yell "Warning - Warning" Â Â

    Zu-23-2 - final version !

    I just downloaded the final version of this beautiful addon, and it seems it has a mag of 200 rounds! A friend of mine, who has handled these "Sergei:s" in Lapland's Anti-aircraft regiment, told me that one belt holds 60 rounds per gun. Just thought you'd like to know

    Hey! I was wondering if you are planning to make an island along with this mod, or are you going to use some of the existing ones that bear the most resemblance to finnish nature? I would definately like to see some finnish countryside with lots of lakes and a highway airstrip somewhere, from where you can launch interception missions.

    Looks good, altho i'd rather go with wingtip sidewinders and fuselage-mounted amraams being a part of the aircraft model itself and the rest of the weapons being detachable, in order to emphasize the multi-role capability. Having all hardpoints loaded with the same weapon looks kinda weird Â
