Wonder replied to OntosMk1's topic in ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
There we go again!!! "they were'nt around in 85" Why, OH WHY should we stick to stuff of ONE PARTICULAR ERA?!? 1985 is just a CAMPAIGN for god's sake!! -
I like this island... plenty of attention paid to details and good layouts. I just wonder why the author didn't use the concrete docks, or better yet include the harbour addon in the map.

Will the RK62s have steel magazine textures or the plastic "waffle" textures?

If you put the line in the INIT.SQS file, all human players will be able to use the addon. How about making a mission where you'd have to defend the planet agains invading aliens from another planet using advanced technology (i.e. mechs)?

I never said that OFP could qualify as a flight simulator, or that OFP is realistic enough to be a flight simulator. What i meant was that OFP is a military simulator and military planes are military equipment, and thus should be modeled as close to life as the game engine allows. It's just that many people think this is a waste of time and these same people hit me with this "OFP is not a flight sim"
-
it's a 20-round magazine, but soldiers in vietnam usually loaded it with 18 rounds as to prevent feeding failures.
-
Any news on this addon? I hope it doesn't get scrapped!
-
I sure would like to see a Longbow Apache with up-to-date features such as incoming missile warning, IR jammers, not sure about the flares cause then you'd probably get no rockets. Oh yes, Various weapon loadouts too! (Hellfires, Stingers, FFARs) I'm not sure about any working HUD's because Apaches have the IHADSS, and that would be nearly impossible to model. Functional MFD:s would be great tho, and a beefy M230 chaingun sound
-
If anyone says "OFP is not a flight simulator" one more time, i'm gonna smack his teeth down the throat!
-
Sorry for the offtopic, but how many has noticed that the magazines on the BIS ak74:s are a bit too crooked? They look like ak47 magazines to me.
-
Either the weapon is oversized or it's held by a 12-year old kid
-
The sheridan sounds good, but its main gun/missile launcher should have an extremely low fire rate as to simulate its ureliability. It should be powerful enough to destroy a main battle tank though.

*ahem* and back to the topic...

I'd like to see the ACOG reticle fixed. It's still out of scale. -

What about the centerline stations. What we need here is a maximum allowed load PER HARDPOINT, before we make any conclusions.

Ok. We've got some good ideas for simulationg fatigue in OFP. For example: Occasional screen blackouts Shaking hands/accuracy deteriorating Skill level dropping How about dropping the ability to detect enemy units down to a point where you can sneek right in front of a "dozed off" enemy unit without him noticing? Man is his commander gonna be pissed when he finds out his soldiers are sleeping during their watch
-
Hmm.. maybe the maximum allowed weapons load for the HAWK should be checked... 6x250kg bombs seems a bit heavy for a HAWK.

Any news on this addon? ...it's still going to be done, right?
-
*ahem* it WOULD be a perfectly good M16A1 if you could hit anything with it.
