Hey CBFASI, thanks for the great info. Could you tell me how you fixed the transparency issue in Bulldozer because I think I am having same problem. I have created landscape and buldozer works fine, but as soon as I put an object on it (from ARMA 2), buldozer gives me an error: Any ideas? Thanks, Waterman.

Hi folks, just wanted to show the recent work I've been doing on my island Skye and to hear your feedback. At the moment im changing the vegetation mainly to resistance ones for more realism, made some new roads based on the resistance ones but with a center line. I've also used a grass addon called erba which I've slightly modified to make the landscape seem more realistic but in doing so along with placing it all over, there is quite a large drop in fps due to the number of objects. Im hoping this problem will be solved when Armed Assault comes out which I believe handle's the terrain rendering better? At the moment I've only done a section beside the town with the long bridge. I didn't say the Highlands, I said Highland Perthshire as in north of Perth but not into the Highlands. And I assume it's Scotland, not Australia your are talking about aswell. Nice pics though, quite a selection there. I personally like the landscape shots.

The only thing that might let you down is the X300... should cope though as the rest of the spec seems really good.

I could send you it to work on if you like, i dont play OFP now - just check these forums occasionally.

FYI, Inverness is on the East Coast And the area around Aberdeen needs to be bigger and the area Inverness is in slightly smaller. Just a few words of advice, but otherwise looks good.

Been using my laptop with OFP for over a year. My laptop is from www.meshcomputers.co.uk, it has a P4 3.2GHz Prescott, 512MB PC3200 ram, 128MB ATI Radeon M11 (9700), 60GB 7200rpm which was an upgrade from the 60GB 4200rpm which cost me with all the other bits and bobs for just under Å1400 inc VAT + del. Playing CTF maps, usually get 30 - 100fps depending on the map bearing in mind its also 17" Widescreen with res of 1440x900. So yeh, it works well for me. Depends on your budget really, u could get the same spec as mine now for about Å1000.

I've noticed that when playing OFP particularly in MP, the curser or crosshair seems to lock onto a grid and makes aiming precisely very frustrating. Just wondered it anyone had any solution to this? Oh, and im using a USB mouse that installs automatically on my notebook. I read a simular problem with the mx700 mouse and saw to disable hardware acceleration for the mouse but I dont have this option for mine. If it helps, I can post my notebook specs.

Many games have "E" as their "use" key. However I think it wouldn't be suitable with ArmA or NGG for reasons like the one above - you need a choice of actions when your at an ammo crate. However it might be an idea to change E from sprint to enter/eject and make shift sprint or something... If its still the same, I wont be complaining, I've got used to it after 4 years...

As long as you dont have to register with a million things before you can play the game (like with HL2), then why not...

Yeh, I got my older PC upgraded recently. It did have an Athlon XP 2000+, 768MB PC2700 ram and and some old ASUS motherboard. Now it has an Athlon 64 3000+, 512MB PC3200 ram (hopefully get another 1GB when possible) and an Abit AV8-3rd Eye motherboard (one of the best socket 939 motherboards around imo), which is designed for overclocking. I bought my laptop from a UK company called MESH, and you get LOTS more for your money. They have a great reputation (always good reviews), packed with features and options and are cheap. My 2 pennies...

Once you get 1000 points, logout of your account and log back in and it should come up with a window saying you were promoted to "Private First Class", then you will be offered a to unlock one weapon from a selection. If that doesn't work sometimes it takes a while to register, so you'll probably get it within 24hours (less i would imagine). One problem that is really bugging me is that on my laptop playing the game "Page up" and "Page Down" dont work. They are on the same key as a number though on the number pad. (ie. PgUp is on the #9 key and PgDn is on the #3 key). I've tried toggling num lock and also pressing Alt/Ctrl together with the button but nothing... Any idea other than buying a seperate keyboard?

The game is basically all about MP play, even the single player uses the same setup just with AI instead. I personally enjoy playing it with others in my clan, but if I were just me then I would probably leave it. The graphics are really nice, however I find it frustrating that the guns are very inacurate and if you do hit the enemy it takes a good number of shots to kill them unless your sniping or using a shotgun at close range (which is fun ). When ArmA comes out, I'll forget about BF2...

Yep they think they can hide behind their supposedly "copyrighted" material, when infact it is them that alter the Flashpoint.exe and so on... pff If anyone's breaking copyright, its them.
