F/A-18 Super Hornet
whistlepig replied to Meatball0311's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
I had this same problem originally, and found it to be when I was running this with the FDF mod at the same time. Some sort of conflict between the two. I took out the FDF and no more problems. -
This might be a little different request in the process of things, but how hard would it be in the texturing to do all 3 of the Flight I Nimitz carriers, such as the Eisenhower and Carl Vinson, as well as the Nimitz? All 3 were of the same overall fit, and it wasnt until the Theodore Roosevelt was commissioned that the "upgraded" Nimitz came about. Just a thought. Irregardless...I am happy as can be to see the Nimitz finally come to Arma2/OA.

Whatever happened to the USMC AV-8B Harrier
whistlepig replied to whistlepig's topic in ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
Lets try this again. Search function was already used. I also did this before posting, to avoid any dupes or pointless posts. I do not know of 4 different Harriers, the only ones I know of are the Falklands Mod, but that is a British Harrier, and the one that Vit was working on at one time. I know that the USMC Mod was working on one at one time, but there are not any new developments that I have seen on that. I am looking for the [/b]AV-8B, none of the others. Whistlepig -
It just struck me that it was being worked on at one time, but has never been released. Anyone know of the status of this? That is one of the last great addons we are missing in OFP. Whistlepig

Well, there went my night then. Another night that my wife will be without her husband due to Flashpoint Now, awaiting its arrival! The Whistlepig

I hate to ask, but will anyway, Can we still expect its arrival tonight, or will it be this weekend sometime? (Just wondering if I need to go ahead and stay up half the night awaiting the Hawgs arrival!) The Whistlepig

I just switched from a ATI Raedon 9200 128mb to a ATI 9600 XTC 256mb, and ran into the same problem. After much headbanging against anything vertical in my "gaming office", I came accross a rather simple fix. 1st thing, especially with ATI cards, uninstall ALL previous existance of the ati software, reboot, then install the latest software. Then, after trying everything, it was suggested to add "-no map" to the command line for the start up. It works wonderful. No problems as of yet, and the performance, at least to me, has greatly improved! Hope this might help a little. The Whistlepig

Try going back a couple of pages.  I already admitted I should have checked my information before I posted, and when I did post, I could, and should have given references to my info, then I would have found in the process that I was wrong, and would have given correct information.  The ghost of the (K)nightHawk has returned    Back to the groundhog hole I go. Very well, and I stand corrected. Upon further investigation, I found that I was wrong in most of the aspects, which is what I get for posting without checking first. They are in fact MH-60S Knighthawks, attached to Helicopter Combat Support Squadrons (HC). Now, a little bit of return fire. I'll state it just like I used to tell my Capt when we would have our "come to Jesus" meetings, "Dont just tell me that I did something wrong then walk out the room, I want to know what I did wrong, how I did it wrong, and you're gonna sit there and watch me make it right! Actually, the navy started using the HH-60 "KnightHawk" recently. Identical to the Airforce HH-60 in most all aspects, I believe they are attached to the HS squadrons on aircraft carriers for SAR, in conjunction to the SH-60 for ASW. Shouldnt be too hard to place them into OFP, as all it would require is a little re-texturing. The Whistlepig

With pics like these showing us of things to come, it reminds me of the first time I saw my daughter on the ultra-sound at the doctors office. (Who is now an ever-adventureous 3 months old) It kinda brings a tear to my eye. Â I'm finally going to get something I've wanted to fly ever since OFP came out. Â

Slightly offtopic, Actually, the current M4s are set up to where they can have iron sites on them, depending on the configuration. Many have a tactical handle with the iron site built in. My personal M4 (civilian one, that is) has a detachable front site, with an ARMS #45 rail system built on it, with a stowable ARMS #40 rear site, that pops up when needed. The Whistlepig

This makes a lot more sence. And my apologies from just that. I as guess the old saying goes: "Theres two sides to every story" and I didnt wait for the other side. Still though, I would be interested to hear German-Mods reply to this situation. If it is true, then that opens a whole different side to the story here. Competition is one thing, theft is another. Only silence will tell. Crawling back into my groundhog hole, The Whistlepig

Its not very often I have post on here, but I will in this case. Its sad that it seems to be nothing more than a competition between mods, with one trying to get along, and the other doing nothing more than saying "ours is better", but I have yet to see anything from them except attitude, and nothing to back their words up. Keep up the good work. I've been impressed thus far, and am happy to have at least ONE Airwolf to fly. The Whistlepig
