This is a well know bug is it not? I think BIS has said to fix this in teh next patch.

This is just a theory, and may have no warrant. But if you think about it Hardware Acceleration, has to, remove, Disable, or lower settings on something that hogs RAM and CPU power, in order to "accelerate" So in theory t may do somethign to the sound. I'm not sure though, as good sound cards(or do all?) have their own Processor and don't reall rely on the actual CPU.

And for one thing I really seriously doubt that Panzer Elite was quite as complex nor as advanced as OFP. I mean sure it would make the game EVEN better. You hardly ever hear anyone say "Hey there is no other game out like this, where can I go from flying my chopper around blowing s**t up, to driving my tank around" You don't because people will always complain aobut what they "think" they deserve. This is not directly pointed a to you, but everyone like you. I mean for one thing, be happy they didnt release it, then drop out a s**tty patch out for us,m then leave us to fend for our selves. On an ending note, to date you wont find a game like OFP, with such intense gameplay with a such a realistic feel. So just think about what goes on behind the scenes before you whine about what you "should" have.

Mal, I read somewhere else that FRAPS doesnt work on some OS's, I know that it doesnt work on ME, I'm not sure about any of the others.

Ok, so about this RedHammer campaign. Why are we paying $15, now I know $15 is cheap, but you must consider. When you by most other games, do you not have the oppertunity to play the other side, like C&C. I think that BIS just seriously didn't have the time to make a Russian campaign, because they were rushed as we all know. So the game was releaed w/o a Red Campaign, and then they figure hey we can make one and make more money off of it. Shouldn't we get it for free, I mean shouldn't have already been a part of the game? This is the only thing that kinda erks me about them, don't see all these bugs everyone hines about, and I love the game, just don't understrand this.

I dunno if it's just me. But isn;t the SDK just like Quake3's Source Code? I mean in a sense that it's just a code editor? or what?

you think it would be possible for them to implement that? I mean it would be pretty cool, Always sucks having your pretty SU-25 blown to bits, you make a narrow escape, and relaize you're only going to drowned.

Ive heard of probems with it, ut I'm not sure, as I'm waiting a few months before purchasing WinXP. *Hint* Never buy software when it's first released

From personnaly experience, P4 is way over hyped. Your paying extra money for no real extras. IMHO one of the New Athlon XP's would suit you well I personally just bought a new AMD Athlon XP 1900+, with a EPoX 8KHA+(which is rock stable I might ad ) I previously owned a P3 933MHz, and this new setup blows it out of the water. As far as cards go, there are so many different options. The two Best, fastest, onthe market are the Radeon 8500, and The GeForce3 Ti500. And I think the 8500 gives a good run for it's money as it's a #### of alot cheaper, but the Ti500 is still a faster card overall. Alot of people won't admit it, but it's true. Also the 8500 does outperform the Ti500 I think in a few of the many tests. One of the upsides of the 8500 is it's feture rich. And IMHO gives a better picture quality, it's no tmuch to the naked, but you can tell teh difference when paired by a Ti500 pics. I personally went with the LeadTek GeForce3 Ti500, as I'm just an Nvidia fanboy well actually I stick with Nvidia b/c I've never had a problem with them, and I heard some stories of ATi's drivers not being very good But I suggest you look around and read some reviews.
