GMAX has its own tutorials available from the same place as your original download As for what you do with yor P38 now: Buy Flight Sim 2002. You'll be able to fly it in that sim with a wee bit more work. Can't give you any more details because I don't have FS2002.

The SUSAT's magnification is fixed at x4. Hmm. be nice to know what the crosshairs look like, too.

Certainly by 1985 therey were for front line infantry units Support/Logistics had the L2A1, and Terries did without the SUSATS, I believe.

Got your attention? Good. Anybody out there got an image showing the detail of the SUSAT mounting on the L1A1? I could only find one crappy example: Edit: Also, check the mag; that looks like a 30 round clip. Not even sure if this Is an L1A1; Could be An Aussie, Canadian, Or maybe even Argentinian example, so details may be different?

Solving that problem may take someone with a bit more savvy than I have. But I won't if I can help it.

Got time for practice, then. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Is it here, yet?

Dammit, I think I'll apply for it. Worst they can do is tell me to get stuffed. :closeshatchandsubmergesagain:

He's not wrong though. By saying that, I'm in no way belittling the efforts of anybody who will actually produce something. If it was just a matter of doing the models, I'd have produced a load of stuff for CFS2. But the model is only part of it. Weapons loadouts, flight characteristics (Or, in the case of smallarms, Cyclic rates and ammuNition performance unique to that weapon), skinning. Â I even had a crack at doing a C130 myself, but it will probably never fly in OFP. Why? I could hand the work I've done so far in GMax over to someone with Oxygen, but all that would give would be a beginning, maybe even less. Animations done in GMax (Ailerons, Rudder, Flaps, Propellors and Undercarriage) would probably not export to Oxygen. People who ask for all this shiny new kit don't seem to have an idea what they are asking, most of the time. My hat comes off to anyone that can actually get a project as far as being ready for upload.

To fly the appropriate curve and dive deep down into Washington, stay at an altitude similar to that of the traffic lights, you must be (as I think) terribly well trained. Minutes before you must keep the plane precisely in the right tunnel, a Boeing does not allow great corrections. <span id='postcolor'> I'm not sure that's correct. Looking at the open area around the Pentagon, maybe even as little as a -5 degree AoA would have been sufficient </span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote (Albert Schweizer @ Mar. 09 2002,20:45)</td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">Another question I ask myself is: why didnt the plane dive through the whole building?". Okay, some of you say the pentagon is build very bomb sequre, whatever. But what you think a WTT is constructed like? I am sure a plane of that size (if diving in vertically) would have cut the pentagon into seperate buildings!<span id='postcolor'> The most powerful concrete buster of the 2nd World War was the RAF's "Grand Slam," Highly streamlined, heavily armoured, and weighing in at 10 tons The Lancaster had to be heavily modified to not only get this thing into the air, but also up to the actual altitude which would enable it to attain the velocity (I believe over mach 2) to penetrate concrete. And the best it could do was about 7 metres. with the Pentagon, you're probably not only talking about concrete, but God knows what other types of materials, and probably considerably thicker than 7 metres. Granted, the 737 would have the mass, but I doubt it had the velocity or density to penetrate armour. If it dropped in vertically, I'm sure that there would have been some kind of crater, but with a shallow AoA, it would simply have scraped across the top of the armour. Just a thought, if you are looking for a conspiricy; maybe that sand was put down to hide what had happened or not[/] to some of the more interesting components of the Pentagon's defences? </span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote (Albert Schweizer @ Mar. 09 2002,20:45)</td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">But who knows? FYI, ladies and gents, aluminium doesn't melt. It BURNS. back when the first built the Bradley there was a lot of controversey over the use of aluminium because of this. In the end they decided it didn't matter, because the kind of temperatures needed to start the burn would only be generated by forces that would destroy the vehicle anyway. So, drive an aluminium aircraft fully laden with fuel into a hardened target at high subsonic speed, all that kinetic energy has to go somewhere right? it's converted into heat... Correction, it does melt, of course. But it also burns quite easily.

Happened to me. I was killed at 600m by a single shot from a T72. My Abrams had been in a previous scrap but got repaired. Bug, or inferior parts?
-
Lol uh-uh, Yep, "Honey get my shotgun there's a Panzer coming this way" Hmm. in the Broadlands of Norfolk, UK, there exist some relics called "Punt Guns;" 3 or 2 bore shotguns, designed to take out whole flocks of ducks or geese at once. They were too big to be fired from the shoulder, they were mounted on boats, punts, at a slight upward angle and paddled into position by the flock and fired. first the gunshot startled the birds, then by the time the shot reached them they were in the air. My point? In the 1940's when Britain was looking a bit desperate, the plan was for the Home Guard to load these beasts with solid shot and use them against tanks. Though how the bang would startle the tank into flying remains a mystery... edit. Found an image:

I think being tooled like Dodge City would have made a significant difference in the Warsaw Ghetto.. Nah, this argument is too complex, but heres a couple of thoughts: Back in the thirties, one of the German Generals went to Switzerland to view Swiss maneouvers. Despite never having been to war for centuries, Swiss troops are highly regarded for their marksmanship. Out on the ranges, the General watched these guys bust some caps, then turned to his Swiss oppo, and said "Very impressive, but the Wehrmacht outnumbers your army ten to one. What would you do if we attacked?" The Swiss General didn't blink. "Each soldier would fire ten rounds of ammunition." I dunno what its got to do with the subject either. That's spam

Let me know what you think.<span id='postcolor'> That is one cool model of the weapon I think the US Forces should have got instead of the M16. But as far as I know, the Rifle version was never used operationally. If you got that far, you are only a couple of steps away form the LMG version, which I want, used by the SEALs until the Minimi arrived. Alternately check out the AR-18; looks like Gene Stoner got the 63 into production after all

If you compare it to similar applications (say FSDS for the Flight Simulator/Combat Flight simulator series), about Å35.00 ($50.00 ish) would be fair. Would I pay it? Hell yes. Polluting the game already exists as soon as some asshole cheats. If somebody wants to spend the money to buy Oxygen to create his own vision, I have no gripe. If I don't approve, I won't download. But Cheats are the main problem, and I can't see how restricting Oxygen will stop them. that's up to the administrators of the servers where they play. people who are just bad modellers will recieve criticism and give up, or correct and do better next time. If I was to think cynically, I would suspect that BIS may release new gear in a load of addons (reasonably priced ), but I have no gripe with that. BIS is a business, and they should make money. Let me put to you a situation... You buy a game which was not bad, but not great. you play it for a couple of weeks, then it comes of the hard drive and goes on the shelf. Would you give the manufacturers of that game one tenth of the hassle you give BIS for producing a bloody masterpiece? I'm not talking about bug fixes, though BIS has shown themselves better than average at attempting to sort gaming issues. I'm talking about after market addons. In my long experience, I have never come across a software company to equal BIS in this respect. Yes, I'll pay for Oxygen.

A bit rough. Any point in continuing though?

Maybe, but you still have a couple of scripts to write to get it spot on.
