He doesn't live in the middle east, actually. He lives in the UK but his grandparents were born in the middle east, not sure which country exactly though. I think it's quite funny, I wonder if I would get banned for saying "All English honkies are dicks"?
-
Um...you do realise that this guy is of Arabic descent, don't you?
-
Ah nice one! Never seen these photos of the SAS before, good to see that they've finally been identified at last! It's always been a source of discussion with my friends over who these are!
-
I really can't understand why that would be put in intentionally though, it doesn't make sense at all...
-
lol mate, nah I think Matt must have been joking. But if he wasn't....then I will be uh...very surprised to say the least!
-
LOL! Just like they made the randomly exploding helicopter bug intentional too. --EDIT-- On re-reading your post, you're not being serious are you, by the way?

I noticed that in ArmA, when you have to do a river crossing or something, or even just swimming from ejecting as a pilot or something; After you've been swimming for a few metres, your weapon disappears and so does all the kit in your inventory. Now clearly this isn't meant to be like this as no soldier would -ever- manage to lose their weapon while swimming. Rifle slings are used and river crossing drills are practiced often in the armed forces so in the situation where it a soldier is required to swim, he's not totally useless at the end of it. This bug ruins any aspirations of marine based warfare that I'm sure many people had, hope it's not such a hard one to fix! Mav

Do you get better frame rates with your 7600 too, by any chance? -
That is correct, you can only use the awful one, not the nice "Classic" control panel. However, if you download coolbits (The bottom link of the first post in this topic), you can get to it that way. http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=132828

Ok, this solved it for me, give it a try: I uninstalled all my graphics and Nforce drivers. I reinstalled the latest ones from afresh. Mouse/keyboard lag is gone, I just tested it in my "favourite" lag spot and it was absolutely fine
-
No, i've not tried measuring it, but I am easily getting 20+ fps. If you look up at my system specs too, it's highly unlikely to be that.
-
Well I'm using a different keyboard and get no controller lag at all...Hmmm. Acidcrash, do you have the new version or the old version? Mine is the old one. --EDIT-- Actually, using a different keyboard makes no difference, but it only seems to happen in large towns.
-
Hi mate, yep, I have the same problem. When I'm running around or something it can take a good 5-10 seconds if I press "Esc" for even that to come up. I'm going to try a PS2 keyboard that I have and see if that changes anything. I also have the Saitek gamers keyboard. If it makes any difference, blackdog, I thought that this was fucking hilarious!

Sorry, thought you might be able to understand it. Right.. Let me explain something to you; When you go to war, you are normally up against nasty nasty men (and indeed women) who try to kill you using bullets and bombs. Now..Were anybody to go waltzing in there with no weapon, helmet or other protection, it might be a bit of a bad idea. For this reason, the British Army and most other armies, like to equip their soldiers with "weapons" - Which you use to defend yourself if needs be. They also came up with a helpful way of avoiding getting shot called "Body Armour". So, if you issue these handy items to all your troops, then they are less likely to die. Cool huh?
