These Chechens have decided to prove that they are not fit to be in the human race. The Islamic militants continue to attack the world's nuclear super powers, so obviously they must want to be vaporized. I say that if they are so desperate to die in battle against a westerner so that they can go to heaven and get their 72 virgins, then who are we to deny them this service? I say that letting an Islamic terrorist live is a true violation of his human rights. Actualy human rights don't even apply in this case, because in my eyes, when you become a terrorist, you basically are deciding to leave the human race. I say nuke em. Chechnya, Iran, Iraq, Syria, and portions of Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Saudi Arabia. If the governments of these contries object; too bad. They allow these psychopaths to train and recruit in their contries, and even secretly celebrate when they carry out successfull attacks against civilized countries. Militant Islam is a threat to the free civillized world. Enough screwing around. Break out the nuclear weapons already.

Hey guys, I think Pappy has spent enough time on this thing; Â he does have a life you know (at least I think he does....). Â If you aren't happy with the finished product, then do what I did.... go to the "customizing your OFP experience" at the Y2K3 website http://ofp.gamezone.cz/_hosted/bratty/PB/site/index.html and follow the tutorial. Â With a little bit of experimentation, you will be able to change the config to suite your needs; Â and this info can be applied to modifying addons as well. Â For example, I edited the config of the BAS little birds, and changed the gatling gun sound to the one that is used on the BAS MH-47 and MH-60. Â I also modified the Y2K3 config by replacing the INQ MP5 with the BAS MP5 with Aimpoint sight, I replaced sports car 1 and 2 with Mechanics Porsche GT2 and Turbo, red car was replaced with Mechanic's VW Golf, Blue car was replaced with Mechanic's WRX, and the Cessna was replaced with the Seaplane Cessna (now I can land it on water). Â Also I am going to modify the BRDM and replace it with the BAS one that is armed with a DSHK. Â If I can find the time and patience, I will depbo the res O.pbo and replace the V-80 model with Hawk's KA-50 (and give it working landing gear, and ejection seat). Â The possibilities are endless if you have enough free time, and you know how to reverse engineer, and aren't affraid to screw with it. Â Oh yay and you can get all the depbo, cpp to bin and all the other required software for free from any of the major OFP websites...

I don't know if DXDLL can be modified to do this, but wouldn't it be cool if objects cast shadows from artificial lights at night? What I mean is that when you are near a light source (car light, or street lamp) at night there should be a shadow cast away from the light source from whatever object it is illuminating. Unfortunately due to OFP limitations there are no shadows cast at night time. Another impossible task for Keg to solve...

Not sure if this has been mentioned before, but it would be cool if you could make a script that would blow dust behind the props of the HC-130 when you are taxing around the runway. Of course the dust would have to be able to reverse direction when you use thrust reverse. Also the script wouldn't be very usefull in the air, it would only be used when you are on the ground.

Â Right now I'm cruising around in the last mission of the CWC campaign in a seaplane Cessna that I downloaded, and tearing up Everon in a 170MPH Porsche 911 Turbo. Also if you are from the UK (I'm not, but I'm sorta fond of the mangled tooth little fellas), you will find that it's fairly easy to change out all of the US soldiers and weapons with UK versions from addons. Â Another idea is to replace Everon Kulgujev Malden with desert/winter/jungle versions, and desert/winter/jungle troops. Â Now having said all this remember to back up all your crap before you go out screwing up anything important...

Hey I just tried to de-pbo the BIS OH-58.pbo and BRMD.pbo in an attempt to replace both of these BIS addons with BAS versions. Unfortunately after I Un-pbo them, the config file is in BIN format, and my BINtoCCP program won't work on this file. Are some of the BIS addons protected so that we can't edit them? Is there a better program that will unBIN the config so that I can edit it?

Where can I get the updated HMMWV file. Your link is broked. I have no Hummer until I get it...

Hey Pappy, I've been doing some experimenting with the Y2K config myself. Â For one I added a new class "M4GrenadeLauncher" that replaces the INQ_Grenadelauncher for the night officer. Â It has the correct gun sight, and magazines are interchangable with the standard M4. Â Also the M4 magazine now uses the INQ_m16 sound instead of the INQ_m4. Â IE both the M4 and M16 make the same sound now. Â (Having fired long and short barreled versions of the AR-15 or M16 I find that INQ's M16 sound is the closest thing to real life for both the M16 and M4). Â Also I replaced "Car Blue" with Mechanic's Subaru WRX. Â It has higher top speed and improved off road ability. Â "Car Red" was replaced by Mechanics VW Golf, and sports car 1 and 2 where replaced with a white Porsche 911 GT2 and yellow Porsche 911 Turbo. Â Also I'm thinking about replacing the NVGs with the ones from FDF mod. Â Oh and I also tweaked the AT6 TOW and Hellfire properties. Â Hellfire and Tow kill T-72s in one hit, disable T-80s in one hit. Â AT-6 distroys M-60 in one hit. Â Also MP-5 is replaced with the one from BAS (BAS_WEAP.PBO). Â Unfortunately I think that I made the changes from an old config. Â But let me know if you want it anyway... Oh and I also edited laserguided.pbo and replaced the BIS A10 with omayns a-10

I don't think that anyone ever ment for the Nighthawk to operate during daylight. Think of the F-117 like a Ninja warrior. You wouldn't send a lone Ninja out in the daylight in an open field to face 4,000 enemy soldiers. Instead you wait for nightfall, and send the Ninja into the enemy camp to assasinate their leader, or poison their food supply. This is the way of the Nighthawk. It only carries 2 2,000 lb bombs, it can't go supersonic, and it has no defensive armament. But when it slips past your air defenses in the darkness of night, knocks out a command and control center, and kills your top Airforce brass, then you can understand why this aircraft is so feared....

The F-117 isn't "easy to shoot down" but yes they can be brought down. Â Several groups of Night Hawks slipped right past numerous Mig-29 patrols on the opening night of the first Gulf War. Â But the fact is that the combination of faceted shaping, and RAM can only go so far. Â For one the arrow like shape is great for spliting a radar wave from head on, and reflecting it away from a reciever. Â But from the side, and especially from the rear there is a reduced radar deflecting effect. Â Other factors include the attitude and altitude of the aircraft in relation to the radar. Â If the aircraft is climbing, diving, or banking in one direction or the other, he may be exposing a larger faceted side to radar energy. Â Also if the aircraft is in a bombing run with the bomb bay doors open, this too will spoil the radar deflecting effect of the aircraft's shape.

I heard that one factor that lead to the downing of the F-117 was the fact that it was raining that night. The RAM (Radar Absorbant Material) coating of the airframe became saturated with water, effectively reducing it's radar absorbing properties.

Are the SPR's mainly 7.62mm, or do they also come in 5.56mm? Also I couldn't help but notice the AK-74 style muzzle break on the pics....

Hey, being the picky bastard that I am, I want a hydralic suspention script to go along with the CD player in the civy cars. Imagine the look on those Nogovan's faces when they see my car bouncing around while I play "low rider". Also when I play music it plays loud outside, but inside the car (first person view) I can't hear anything....

Hey I realise that BI stands for Bohemia Interactive, but.... it sounds kinda gay.....
