any way to get multiple game controllers to be recognized by OFP? or is it a game engine thing...? OFP is getting wrinkly I guess....

I've been using a HOTAS Cougar for the past 4+ years. It's the same where it uses a combination of Joystick, throttle and in my case Rudder Pedals... They all work together and function as one game controller as far as your computer is concerned.... and I'm sure Saiteks X series of HOTAS Game controllers works the same. my problem is I've decided to ditch the Pedals I've been using, and replace it with a non-Thrustmaster Rudder pedal system. the new Rudders cant be connected through the Cougar, so they're counted as seperate game controllers and OFP doesnt seem to accept mappings from it.

Thanks for your reply thunderbird... but I'm a bit confused I'm running FFxUR 4.5 and just want to know the Magazine Classnames for the two magazines in this pic so that they can be placed in ammo crates and vehicles (ie. this addmagazinecargo "[classname],10"; ) also wanted to know if there were any other items like those two which don't use default BIS filenames Using the default BIS 40mm Grenades restricts us to 4 M-16 Magazines (120 rds) and 3 40mm Grenades. in the USAF during regular on-base security we use 7 M-16 Magazines (210 rds) and an 18 rd M433 HEDP Vest big difference between the two hehe... my friends and I were happy to see that FFxUR used an HEDP vest for its version of the Grenadier but we havent figured out the classname to use in custom missions... -

I've been looking all over these forums, and the search fuction hasn't helped filter through the hundreds of pages of FFxUR related stuff so I'll resort to asking Is there a classname reference for the FFxUR addons that aren't the same as the BIS default ones... such as the bouncing grenades and the M433 HEDP Vests? I've checked my files, this forum and the FFx website but havent found anything yet... -

Speaking of ladder extractions.... I was wondering if the Pavehawk would have a longer ladder than the Blackhawks? it may not be realistic to have a significantly longer ladder... But I feel that it'd be usefull to compensate for the lack of ability to model a winch for pulling people out of forests and such. just a thought

I assume the speciality for PJ's is to do HALO jumpings and other para-insertions. Though, that is why they are called ParaRescues. So as this is a chopper, a decent chopper crew, including some rescue guys to pick up wounded by sea, is rather what i would like to see So i suppose PJ's do their insertions by a C-130 and other high-fliers. Back onto topic - looks pretty much like the UH-60, but i am sure the diffrence is more over at the effect and scripting side aswell as diffrent mission subjects than the UH. UH-60 or not, seems the usual BAS quality is haunting this addon aswell nah... PJs work from Pavehawks as well... they have a much broader job description than their name implies. PJs are definately trained for fast roping and such for CSAR missions and other missions that require rotary over fixed-wing in/exfiltration the thing about adding PJs is I don't think that they have many differences about them equipment wise that BAS hasen't already covered in some of their previous and perhaps forthcoming addons... ability to heal would be important tho

Came back today hoping someone knows why single (ungroupped) units or group leaders cant throw the nades or place C4 but Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo *falls to knees* oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo smoke grenades dont work either this occurs only in multiplayer missions and not in single player" my post above the one you replied to is the problem. ungroupped and squadleaders cant use said equipment in multiplayer, they can carry it, but if they drop it they cant pick it up anymore, and they cant select them for use. if you BECOME ungroupped or a leader during the course of the mission you can still use the said equipment. thusly theres a few workaround, but no real fix... noone has ever answered me on this in the history of this addon, and I havent Seen Iquisitor around to ask him it doesnt happen at all in single player -
you'd be suprised hopefully BAS will come through soon...

kewl Idea, just remember not to typo which war it was during the filming ;) Fairey Swordfish entered Fleet Air Arm service in '39 and the KMS Bismarck launched in May '41 I think the idea is great tho, but there a lot of limitations of the OFP engine that may take away from it, like visual damage effects, weapon usage and employment restrictions et cetera. I believe its possible to pull off tho. I've no addon experience so i'd be useless here tho. GL on your idea tho

hmmm outta curiosity For any ingame text like the selected weapon/fuel/armor HUD in the upper left of the screen, will you rename the weapon on the Pavehawks (and future Pavelow III) to GAU-2B/A instead of M-134 to appease the USAF lovers (like me) or would doing so force you to rename the weapon/magazine classes? If so it may not be worth it... I dont care either way.. just wondered.....

looking forward to it... I also wanna knof of a File Size range... I'd like to warn my 56k Friends... Im assuming it'd be pretty humangus. Also does the AI Handle itself well on object such as bridges etc. or will editing be tricky when including autonomous AI -
Regarding the Blackhawks... I was thinking the Rope ladder would be useful in pulling people out of forests and woodland areas in place of a penetrator but alas its too short when I tried pulling a friend out... I know it may be pushing it but is it possible to make the ladder longer or at least make it mountable from a greater distance to kinda simulate the use of a penetrator? the downside would be making the ladder length inacurate methinks... but it would make it even more usefull Just a thought

Is there any way to mount MGs on tripods carried by soldiers yet? this coulda been answered ages ago and it may not have; but I've never seen it and poked a round some after 1.2 was released and still found nothing Thx in advance -
In the Buggy Instruction leaflet under "Features" theres a pic of a buggy smoothly blended with several of the basic skins... Is it possible to create this using editor commands or is it necessary to manually edit/create the texture files??

I was wondering... is it possible to put a cargo position in the unoccupied pilots position and have that character assume a "piloting" animation? just so that the 1st cargo slot is the #2 seat and can be filled in the editor (if not done automatically) non functioning and simply for immersive purposes... that empty chair looks kinda wierd

Me and two others using INQ's HDW 1.1 pack can not use grenades in multiplayer if we are alone (ungrouped) or a Group Leader the nades are in the inventory slot but act as though they are not even there (can not cycle to them) I havent read anything about this bug anywhere and wanna know what can be done about it (if its on our end) -
I want to have a trigger set up so that a player is added an action when he is within the trigger area, and has the action removed upon leaving the trigger area... and i want it to work repeatedly I figured it'd be simple enough.. Just addaction in activation field and removeaction 0 in deactivation field but evidently the action ID Changes maybe? and it only removes the action the first time though... How can I get around this?

already tried that LoneSoldier. it works the first time u walk in and out of the trigger, but if u walk in again and walk out it doesnt remove itself Should i still be using "... RemoveAction 0" ? -
Penetrators for Helicopters to rescue / extract downed pilots Et cetera. I would like that a lot. same concept could be applied to sling vehicles under CH-47s... possibly even Towing.. like Vehicles Towing Artillery guns... all depends on how its programmed... The way im thinking of is basic physics where if one vehicle has more force than another then its capable of moving the latter long story short... I want more out of the Vehicles than just shooting and carrying a Number of troops... transporting other vehicles and having varied extraction capabilities would be cool.... just my $.02

I noticed that the American flag on the OFP uniforms are on the right arm and the Union is to the left I dunno when this took effect but now when the American flag is on the right side of a military uniform or vehicle, the union is on the right... which symbolizes the flag as its carried into battle does anyone know when this began?

I installed all the pbos that came with the Iraq Pack 1.0, and i get  the "Cannot memory-map file 'RES/addons 0.pbo' " message wonder which file(s) is causing it
