    YES! And also the message u get when connecting to a locked server needs sorting , it just says connection failed , it needs to state the server is locked , as ppl think its a laggy server or a error ! I brought this up before and im mentioning it again .

    Theres hundreds of servers on the all seeing eye , also a lot of server owners have chosen to upgrade to 1.60 , like me i notice more traffic on my 1.60 due to the in game server browser ...... i agree though that the most ppl on a server on average is like 3 ppl . Im hoping when the official upgrade comes out , more and more ppl will use the in game server browser , hence more players , and ppl will get back into OFP online . BTW for all that dont know about all seeing eye u can get it from here

    it all depens on your bandwidth available , for a server with 1024kbps [RECOMMENDED SERVER SPECS] we recommend the following values: MaxMsgSend = 256; MinBandwidth = 768000; as stated in the admin readme.

    an admin with password takes over a voted admin , i have never experienced what u have described. bug?

    Ive noticed the opposite , when ppl connect there ping is like 0-30 ms And if ppl pay for expensive connections , and take the time to host a dedicated server , they should have the right to dictate who plays on it , and set a bandwidth limit , all my m8s who run dedicated servers , as well as me want to be able to do this.

    #kick >300 ms [so we can kick all laggers without having to use #userlist] and also set a limit in server.cfg like , max ms = "300" this would be great for keeping the lag down !

    ive had more session losts , the connecting times in 1.60 are a LOT longer , my graphics have gone all pale on GF4 , BUT i get a LOT less crashes to desktop . im not sure which is worse

    Thanks , although i cant use 2 ofp launchers at the same time , it seems to overwrite the other launchers target directory . ill simply use the -nosplash cheers

    i use ofp launcher for my ofp and it skips the splash screens , but it doesnt work for ofpmptest.exe is there something i add to the mptest shortcut to skip them ?

    k ive deleted all logos and players faces frrom this directory C:\Program Files\Codemasters\OperationFlashpoint\Tmp2302 and i now have 2 empty folders , one called Squads and one called Players , i had other ppls faces in the "player" folder could it have been players on the server at the time when i checked the temp2302 folder?

    i am also unclear on this , but from what i can gather [and i hope] is that we can launch ofp normally but have the extra island [Nogova] in the island select screen + have all the resistance addons in our normal ofp editor .

    "connection lost"

    when u lock the server [as admin] the people connecting only receive a "Connection Lost" message , therefore thinking its a server problem or lag ! I think it should state the server is locked , thats all . Â Edit: the message is a pop up error , not a message in the chat pool btw .

    Also this is on the dedicated server machine , so bare in mind the amount of people connecting.

    i did a fresh reinstall about 2 days before i applied the 1.60 , although i have kept the same user folder throughout.

    WOW , i knew it was downloading the logos , but not FACES aswell ! i have in my temp folder [apart from squad logos] 60 FACES FROM OTHER PPL ! no wonder it takes longer to connect to servers and im on 1Mbps Cable ! .

    We do this by opening the MPTESTFOLDER/BIN/Stringable.csv in notepad ......... look for the line STR_DEDICATED_SERVER,My Server, Whereas My Server will be your hostname.

    Yes at last , i brought this up in a post its really bugging me , we upgraded our [FAST] public server to 1.58 but we lost like 90 % of people connecting as theres no name on all seeing eye / gamespy just a flag ! no good that is it

    Definetly Voted Admins SHOULDNT be able to lock the server , imagine someone connects to me dedicated PUBLIC server , votes himself admin , locks server , then disconnects . The server is then not PUBLIC , its locked .

    Does this apply to the all seeing eye aswell , beacause i see the names when i enter the IP in the game BUT there blank on the all seeing eye [1.55 and 1.58] ?
