    Have you tried this hotfix for ArmA 2 v1.11? http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?129168-HOTFIX-resolves-ARMA-2-version-1-11-Wrong-signature-for-file-dta-languagecore-pbo If you are not getting any error messages, this could be the reason.

    Yes i would like to know this too. He just keeps trying to run to a minefield at 025019 (near "Guglovo") for me. Bullet to a leg did not help either :)
  8. You probably have to enable manual fire first in order to switch the weapons in that chopper, if i remember correctly.

    Some code to fully save all your gear in the ACE version when dying, and returns them all after respawn, including Weapon On Back and earplugs. I was not sure should i post this in the insurgency devheaven as a ticket... Called from the respawnSystem in common\client\respawn\functions.sqf (Gear_Save_ACE immediately after dying and Gear_Return_ACE after respawning) I bet this could use some cleaning and simplifying, but it already works. I have not worked with ACE before, so i looked a bit around various missions, BI forums and the ACE API. Partially based on work from Lq.Snake and Xeno

  13. Hm is this normal, expected behaviour? Or is it just my computer? Or a weird bug? Thermal optics goes pitch black during winter months(November - January), showing only the heat sources and all cold objects/terrain not showing up at all. With same year, date, hour & minutes, but different month - july for example - map details are clearly visible On the other hand, if setting hour to 12:00, map & cold objects are visible, although darker. My game build is 1.60.0.87580, gfx card Nvidia GTX 480 July, 28th 2010 - 0:00 January, 28th 2010 - 0:00 http://www.gamefront.com/files/21164681/thermal_months.Takistan.7z Repro: Load the included mission in editor, try with the set month (July) Observe your surroundings with the M110 TWS optics - You can see everything clearly Back to editor. Set month to November, December or January and start the mission again Observe your surroundings again - everything but the heat sources are pitch black and not visible. Same thing can also be observed with the nearby M1A2 TUSK. None of this affect visibility with NV.

So its probably just the check for new version that fails
  16. Either its just me, or only Lobby & GLOBAL channels are broadcasted to BERCon on a Arrowhead server BTW, would it be possible, that we could see the chat messages in the RCON tool in different colors?
  17. Hmm just a thought, but have you checked that the headset mic has been selected as default recording source? You can check that from Control Panel. And are the plugs connected to correct inputs? Or, does that thing have a microphone mute button?

    I wish ArmA 3 get's more epic/better music, in same orchestral style like this one or Nothing gets my heart beat faster than those :) Eagle Wing campaign had the best piece of music i've heard in the OFP/ArmA series and really helped in creating the atmosphere. Something in the drum beat in Manhattan and some other ArmA 2 songs sounded really bad in my ear and killed an otherwise good song (too much echo or something? Bad recording studio without proper soundproofing? I'm no expert in this matter) But this is just my opinion, which doesn't weight much :) I also hope that in the new game AI/player doesn't jibba jabba(I'M INJURED, UNDER FIRE, ENEMY BLABLA) on top of the missions/campaign story dialog, both audio and text-wise...

    Well if you really really badly need ArmA2 -only version of GITS Evolution, this might do the job: http://www.gamefront.com/files/20193278/GITS_XTRA_Evolution_v32_Chernarus_pbo_7z The reason its called v32, is because i converted it from the v11 Takistan (for Combined Operations) and it has some small changes here and there. If you don't edit the mission, you are stuck with welcome message from Battlegroup XTRA... It has been running on our ArmA2 server for a month now, without any major show stopping bugs. The included changelist inside the mission might not reflect all changes/fixes done during conversion. (I might have been slightly drunk when writing it)
  21. These new animation speeds are in very good balance between the old and 1.58RC imho. Also, the Defunkt's idea about always having to reload the AT launchers after switching to it sounds really good to me for balancing out the new faster weapon switching.
  22. Have you ran the ArmA2 at least once? I think i read something about having to launch ArmA2 at least once to get the Operation Arrowhead and ArmA2 linked together for the Steam version, or something like that.

    player names not showing

    If you know how to edit missions, you could take the doounitmarkers -script from Doolittle's Example Scripts http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=8506 and put it in the mission. It shows icons on the map where the playable units are. Thought it doesnt show player names, but with very little script editing that can be achieved as well.
  24. Well if this was brought by the new patch, it now is possible to move sideways trough doorways and stairs, without getting stuck. So no more need for @stmovement Or maybe i am imagining things...
  25. Like almost everyone has already pointed out before me, the new animation speeds are way too fast and look really silly. I find it rather hard to fight while laughing maniacally at the new animation speeds.
