Makes no sense. All greece has is olives and gyros, and if you need that you can either start growing it yourself or cut the lamb in a proper way. No need for war here.
-
Probably so. Trying to catch anything that has not been spotted yet. Next hack is due on noon, Monday if im correct. Funny how this corelates with sheduled press-conference on Monday morning... If actually se are getting an announcement on that conference, ill be pissed... it will just confirm my fears that the game was set to "unwinable" and that there was nothing solid to get out of this. In case of previous gaming ARGs that i can remember (thinking about 2 Valve's Portal ARGs) players had opportunity to "discover" that Portal 2 is in the making, and then to actually speed up it's release (yeah by puny hours but still it was a "win" option)
-
On the big ass telephone pole - i see set of 5 white "marks" - anybody able to decipher it? EDIT: Also - next hack is due on Monday? What time aprox?

"rather for my fellows?" Wouldnt this be pushing us toward sniffing around people connected to Red Pegasus? Notice that the avatars of the forum members, whos avatars had QR codes on it changed: http://forums.bistudio.com/member.php?u=78307 - Barel - join date 05-09-2011 http://forums.bistudio.com/member.php?u=78316 - Tahlo - join date 05-09-2011 http://forums.bistudio.com/member.php?u=78336 - Roamer - join date 05-10-2011 http://forums.bistudio.com/member.php?u=78317 - Exorcist - join date 05-09-2011 All avatars now have the same avatar that the Red Pegasus has - clearly thats an indication of being his "fellows"? That join date has any meaning? I can't belive that after such a long chore road of puzzles and sh*i we are abandoned. The sentences in Red Pegasus has to have enough meaning to justify pressing "EMERGENCY STOP" button by BIS when they made a typo. We need to go deeper. EDIT: "fellows" ? Bohemia Interactive partners websites maybe?
-
It's back up - without a typo - my bet is that post got deleted because of typo, to avoid leading people on a wild goose chase.

I meant that Operation Arrowhead etc. were all good names. I mean that "Freedom" is a bit cliche and dosent sound good in comparision to other bis names.
-
That is exactly what ive been saying. No feedback, and no indication in the puzzle solutions if they are final or not. Thats why people are holding onto absolutely ridiculous stuff - like folds on shirt of the Miller guy. To the point anyway: Arma2 Free not Arma2: Freedom First of all - the name is bollocks. After naming products with names like Queen's Gambit, Operation Arrowhead, lame name like that doesent sound too good :D My bet is that Arma2 Free might be some sort of quasi-mmosque solution simmilar to Battlefield Play 4 Free - downloadable client, mini-shop etc. Thats what all the cool kids do today. It goes along with "world will change" theme - instead of interpretation linked to the plot of the mysterious release, it would actually aim to change the real world of gaming in some way, have an impact on distribution process etc. Ball breaing the wall also goes along - as you can see this as a metaphore of tearing down old order, breaking the established rules etc. Map is consistant also - split players registering to play arma free into divisions, units etc. You can choose wether youre an airborne or part naval assault, which part of the front you are fighting at, and then according to how things go, map changes and offensive moves forward. On the other hand - Freedom goes along with last hack listing freedom fighters... Its taking just a bit too long, and actually starts to generate frustration for me instead of positive emotions. Im a huge fan of BIS for years now, and im extatic whenever there is something new up from this guys , in the begining i was absolutely going crazy for this arg - now im getting angry :( You will say - dont visit the thread then, ignore it, but i cant since i want to know whats up :D I'm a guy - i see this like its a foreplay - its very fun part of the intercourse as long as it doesent take ages.
-
Yup - thats what i was thinking about - my mistake with linking it to next hack then! Good to know we still have one more hack to solve and possibly "win" the game.
-
Changing the direction slightly - Next hack: Saturday, May 14th 2011, 18:00 CEST Wasnt there a mention about some conference hosted by Bohemia Interactive in Prague to which some special guest is coming? The date was May 14th - its somewhere in the thread. Would the next "hack" be this conference? EDIT: Thanks for explanation EDIT2: If im right with that press-conference then that strengthens my opinion on this ARG being not-well designed. It would seem that we might have as well ignored all this and the final result would be the same. There is no sense of acomplishment, if the game is rigged so it cant be "won" by players.
-
Can you explain - at least the bolded out ones?
-
So currently unknown/unconnected are: 1991 1962 2003 bohemia reynolds 2002 lohr spaniard 1814 lean Is that correct?
-
TARGOVISTE - Became capital of the region during VLAD reign. E.T. LAWRENCE of Arabia - also guerilla against OTTOMAN turkish rule. More pairs.
-
And TITO - is obviously this charming guy - Josif Broz Tito - also a guerilla leader during WW2 Is anyone else thinking Resistance 2?
-
BIELSKI was a partisan family operating in former eastern Poland during WW2, in locations that are now BELARUS. Daniel Craig played him in Defiance
-
No no no - please don't consider this as an attack of any sort! The game is very good in most of its aspects - single thing i have against is the lack of feedback on solutions - if people would know wether the puzzle is solved properly or not, it would eliminate frustration building up in people that have given a lot of their time to participate - just that: puzzle solutions that are giving definite hints on how far they solve the puzzles of which effects they are. Damn i hope someone understands what im trying to say
-
With all due respect, and sympathy for the ongoing ARG - At this point the event has been overdone big time. Multiplicity of different clues, direction to which those clues lead, and lack of definite indication wether particular clue has been "solved" or not, make this ARG unplayable to me at this point. I do not wish to break the spirit, its not my intention, my intention is only that the message reaches peeps that are behind this - ITS OVERDONE! At some point in the past days players should have been given more concrete info - not on a slate, but as an effect of "cracking" the game. Its not even that the puzzles might be too hard - they are not - its the fact that solving them doesent even lead to new parts to put into a bigger jigsaw - solutions are cryptic and random, that can not be used to solve bigger image. Because of that, people at this point are following leads like haircut of the guy at the image, and what colour his shirt is. BECAUSE THEY HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO FEEDBACK.
-
Not the same attack! Different files! Camouflage_4 on armaholic Camouflage_1 on armedassault.info !!!

BEHIND THE CODE? Check this: http://www.arma2.com/bin/null/thecode/ http://www.arma2.com/bin/null/thecode/ Behind THE CODE If you take that link, and put shit behind /thecode/ it still links to normal website, maybe if we put something in place of /thecode/ or after it, we will get something, but the deciphered letters from "magic eye" dont seem to work. Look: http://www.arma2.com/bin/null/thecode/LOLZTRALAAAALAAA http://www.arma2.com/bin/null/thecode/BLAhaspdlapsdl3=-43-=243243whatever http://www.arma2.com/bin/null/thecode/dimudimdammmm etc. Using code from magic eye: http://www.arma2.com/bin/null/thecode/OYuiMR3GUcVEETkdYJaVEMAC6qvynb4Io001690759 http://www.arma2.com/bin/null/OYuiMR3GUcVEETkdYJaVEMAC6qvynb4Io001690759 We need to double check what is written in that magic eye, maybe its a cipher in itself - anyone tried to check it? Some hash? What about that chineese letters from http://www.arma2.com/bin/null/thecode/

I'd suggest looking around for the "hack". It might not be so obvious this time.

If i read that correctly - AAN, which is a part of the game, hints to look for authentic military manual that this map originates from? There are estimated 650 different US field manuals out there, here is the list: http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/library/policy/army/fm/dlmp_fm-inventory_v5_8.pdf Can anyone help me pin-point the ones that this map MIGHT come from?

Check my earlier post, The arrows are actually pointing to points that are VERY interesting.
