How to make AI stop for 1 or 2 hrs?
Tunguska replied to Tunguska's topic in ARMA - MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
thank you W0lle, Sorry for asking dumb questions but I ckecked this out several times with no visible effect. I will then try again. Do I have to activate ore type in any other options in the waypoint menu other than the timeout fields? -
Hi all, I searched this forum, read Mr. Murrays Editor Guide but could not find an answer to my question: I would like an number of enemy groups to gather and wait at certain waypoints before these groups continue to attack. These groups should stay on these waypoints for an hour or two before they move on. How do I do that? I have tried to work with the min, max, and average values but they did not seem to have any effect, the groups move on to the next waypoint almost instantly after reaching the last waypoint. Although a bit familiar with the editor I unfortunately can not handle scripting. Any help how to solve this by using the waypoint or trigger menu alone would be appreciated. I just need a solution for single player editing. thx

Same here. Performace dropped significantly from 1.02 to 1.05. Texture losses and polygon errors. Problem gets worse after some minutes of playing. System: Intel Core 2 Duo 6800 Nvidia 8800 GTS 4 Gig Ram Win XP Had to switch all settings from High (version 1.02) to normal and low (version 1.05) and still performance is much worse compared to the state before patching. Fps decreased from 60 – 80 (version 1.02) to 15 – 25 (version 1.05)

Game was running just perfect on my Core 2 Duo 6800 and Nvidia 8800 GTS in version 1.04. After installing 1.05 I have significant FPS and texture problems. I lowered post process and texture and object details, but the game still lags. "Foggy" appearence of landscape has increased. Harrier sound is now completely unrealistic. What kind of Patch was that supposed to be, a sabotage patch? I read the other replies and I take the liberty to declare that lowering settings is not an option to me. Will now switch back to version 1.04. and stay away from official BIS support. Personally I do not think that BIS can cope with the performance problem. Joystick Sensitivity Adjusments in v1.02 Patch
Tunguska replied to Paco454's topic in ARMA - TROUBLESHOOTING
quick update. I tried the settings from DaSquade (great job! and found out they work just perfect for the Logitech 3D Extreme Pro. Can flay the Harrier now at tree top level and maximum speed. What an awesome game, never played so great since good old ofp. <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">0.450000,0.450000,0.050000,0.050000,0.050000,0.600000,1.000000,1.000000,0.450000,0.450000, 0.050000,0.050000,0.050000,0.600000,1.000000,1.000000 -
Joystick Sensitivity Adjusments in v1.02 Patch
Tunguska replied to Paco454's topic in ARMA - TROUBLESHOOTING
Does anyone use a Logitech 3D Extreme Pro joystick? If so I would highly appreciate the sensivity settings for this device. Tried about 50 different settings but still the throttle has to be pushed 50% of its range along the y axis before the Harrier reacts. And when he does the movement is so exaggerated that the plane rolls around its axis two or three times, no chance to regain control. thx for your efforts in advance. -
While I control the helicopters with mouse and keyboard I prefer flying the Harrier with a joystick. But that seems impossible due to a sensitivity problem I could find no solution to by searching the forum. I really would apreciate your help: When trying to move left or right the plane does not react until the joystick is pushed to about halfway of its range. When a certain point is exceeded the plane reacts very abruptly and rolls over uncontrollably. No chance to compensate back the plane horizontally as it overreacts again the same when pushing the joystick back towards the other direction. The problem also occurs with helicopters but the movements are not as exaggerated as with the Harrier. Moving up and down works great, no problems with the vertical axis. I tried to reset the joystick sensibility in my ARMA players profile but that does not seem to have any impact at all. I use a Logitech 3D Extreme Pro joystick with current drivers. I play the German version patched up to current state. The game runs on high settings on my Core 2d 6600, Nvidia 8800GS machine. No graphic issues, game runs fantastic, just the joystick issue is bothering. Sorry for the bad English and thanks for your efforts in advance. Tunguska
