    optical camo and a very impressive flashlight mod have recently been released. the talent of the mod community is astonishing. of course, thses elements are being included into the mod. i intend to have a teaser trailer very soon.

    thank you for the support guys, i am making it and i should have some shots for you to view pretty soon. i am fucking amazed at the negativity and members who have nothing better to do spam discussion threads with their bullshit. forgive the language but im trying to highlight my surprise. also: Dr.Strangelove in answer to your post, i hope that english isnt your first language because if it is, i would be pretty fucking insulted. your answers: " If this is a thread to post finished work, where are the files to DL ?" this IS NOT the "ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE" it IS "ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION" - If this is a thread to search for help from scripters interested in sneaky missions, then it lacks a complete discription of what your ideas are. " i dont think i did that. anyways im going to follow some very good advice and ignore all the negativity.

    well you have been nothing but negative in this thread, but if you say you werent being an a$$hole for the sake of it, well thats ok by me. to answer your 'comment' about the wrong category. although most of the assets have already been created, some stuff will have to be created or tweaked. ergo: mod. also: "But I don't see how it has anything to do with MGS3, thats the part that had me confused." there you go, your answer is right there, YOU dont see it. but you have to think outside the box... play the game and imagine what it would be like if it was all combat and minimal sneaking...

    now now kyle, dont be an a$$hole. what do you think it means? its multiplayer, co-op to be precise its set in the jungle its combat orientated, rather than sneaking (warfare) the mission (ie missions) will be highly focused. (scripted) did i really have to do that? annnnnyways, i should have a screenshot or two for you guys soon, hopefully. im still trying to tie all this stuff together and to decide on the actual map/island. i need jungle and mountains...

" well, i agree with you, the sneaking is crud and doesnt work well in ofp. but once again, its scripted multiplayer jungle WAREFARE. mgs3 is superb, perhaps the best game i have played in the last 4years. its wonderfully structured and the last 2hours of the game are the some of the best in videogame history. a tall tale? try it out you wont be dissappointed. although it does have one of the worst scripts in living memory and the camera will destroy your mind.

" thats correct, but this isnt a real-life mod per se. its about enjoying the combat and the mission and doing some problem solving and fighting quite a lot of enemy soldiers. think Action OFP.

    well let me reply to the naysayers and to you first: ".... OFP's engine isn't for MGS, since AI have way too good vision and are way too "primative" to do much with the "alert" levels...." the subtitle to the 'mod' (notice the quotation marks?) is SCRIPTED MULTIPLAYER JUNGLE WARFARE its not about the sneaking, its about the combat. have you played MGS3? "...And of course another thing is the solo mission part. OFP is way better for squad based action, not that solo missions are bad (alot are good), but MGS is all about 1 guy taking on a whole freaken army, in OFP, thats pretty damn impossible.." no, its not impossible, and once again did you read the subtitle? SCRIPTED MULTIPLAYER JUNGLE WARFARE have you ever played an OFP mission where a heavily armed squad of 4 takes on many times their number and wins? not that impossible is it? "...and thats a good thing cause it keeps the games realism high (or should I say at the top ) I think its just cause MGS is too similar to splinter cell, and well you should go read my response to that thread..." i read that thread and the first reaction i had to it was slight shock at the amount of negativity from the replies. no help or even small pointers, just people saying its all impossible. perhaps its the concept of mods in the community's mind? in my mind, the mod is still going to operation flashpoint, nothing is going to change that. but it is possible to add some other elements, structure the missions tighter and have an end product which is enjoyable... do you see my point? so rather than just say: "impossible" perhaps you could provide some help and tips? perhaps the majority of mods wont be completed, but that doesnt mean that people cannot have fun trying.

    /sigh i know that, i am irish myself. but to generalise, regional british accents arent the "accepted", in international terms. generally when someone says british, they mean english and to be even more specific, they mean 'imperial officer english' not a leeds accent or scouser or geordie.

    now thats pretty cool and it will fit in with the 'mgs' thing. thank you for the tip. i have noticed that alot of the 'mods' fail due to the majority of the mod needs to be created from scratch and that the creator of the mod cannot create the addons. as i stated before, all the addons needed for this project appear to be available, even those 'flying platforms'! if i really wanted to i could place a "metal gear" type robot in there, but i find them ridiculous Ü

    one question which i cant seem to find an answer on: it is possible to increase the waepon loadout on your soldier? i.e. having an RPG-7, assualt rifle, shotgun, several grenades and a pistol in their inventory? or is there a hardcoded limit?

    after spending alot of time playing MGS3 and really enjoying it (it really is one of the best games ever made) and also identifying the major problems with the game: script and camera, i decided that a jungle combat sim, which takes in the high concept of MGS3 (sneaking through a jungle) would be superb and would work wonderfully in the OFP engine. from a small bit of research, it seems nearly all the assets are already available, so the main work is assembling them to form a tight series of missions. my idea is not to retell the mgs3 story, neither is it to include the camo index and survival elements, but its to concentrate on the jungle combat. neither will there be boss fights or a final battle against a Metal Gear, but it will be heavily scripted and focused. it will all be about the set pieces and co-operation. of course, this will be my first 'mod', i have created several missions for friends, which have been warmly recieved and i have experience working as a games designer, so im not a total n00b although i would like to be able to turn to the community for some help and guidance in the more technical areas of the editing, unit scripting and so on. and of course, some suggestions on what elements you guys would like to see contained. i shall add a complete list of the available addons i will be using, i have yet to decide on a jungle island, Tonal is wonderful, but it will need to be 'stripped down' and suggestions? edit: dak seang island seems to be a good one to start with.

    G.i.joe mod....where is it?

    FOLGORE>> i LOVE this project. although i would like to see the models looking more like the 'action figures' rather than 'Cel-shaded'. but its still amazing. i have all of your previous releases, i 'play' with the cobra troopers alot would it be possible to replace the crimson guard rifle with an AK-74? perhaps a Cobra officer model? the HISS tanks look great, as do the trouble-bubbles. looking forward to seeing snake-eyes! disregard most of what i wrote, getting the new file now /embarrased
