Out of curiosity what kind of camo patterns are the two farthest to the right? I know the one on the left is based off what's already used in the OPFOR pack and comes from Rhodesia as I recall.
-
That's because those guys have a completely different mission and are in a completely different environment. Those companies provide private security, close protection, and convoy escort. They don't conduct direct action operations of any kind at all. These guys (Executive Outcomes, Sandline) hire themselves out to conduct raids, ambushes, snatches, recon and all forms of direct military operations along with security, but why would Tonal need them in that capacity? Also those guys are wearing that gear A. to somewhat blend in and B. it's practicle for their job. What these units are wearing are practicle for their job and terrain.
-
Bad ass doesn't do these guys justice, lol. Tonal's been screaming for foriegn guys like this! Are these going to be realesed soon?
-
Companies like Executive Outcomes and Sandline always manage to find their away around little problems like that. Also BSC/Triple Canopy/Dynacorps don't run they type of operations that EO/Sandline do and BAS probaby want to encorperate those sorts of operations into their mod. BSC and all those companies do corporate security and such. EO is famous for their covert operations during the Angolan war and others, where they played a direct combative role to help win the war.

Completely agree, this news has been out for about a day now and people are already complaining. They look great to me...certainly one million times better than anything -I- could do
-
BTR-T, that's what I was looking for. One thing's for sure. From looking at that last picture these guy's are the new bad-asses of OFP. Wouldn't want to be on the wrong side of one of those guys.

Is that tank in the picture an MTLB(?)
-
I have that troop ramp issue also.
-
The Article he made already said they're South African Executive Outcomes mercenaries.
-
I know it probably won't happen but it'd be cool to see some sort of Fourth of July realese.
-
Maybe it's the Army SF units they said they were working on. They often use foriegn weapons/equipment to blend in with a local nation that they're helping.
-
I can't tell but it looks like that boonie hat is in USMC Arid MARPAT colors? US SF doesn't wear MARPAT, that's Marine Corps Recon/Force Recon. If you're trying to portray SF you should switch it to three color like his DCU's, although maybe it is three-color, I can't tell.
-
Are you guys going to realese packs one at a time or will they all be realesed together at a far later date? I'd love to see you guys like realese a USMC pack, etc, etc.
-
Do you know where the one in those shots came from?

Hey, I'm just wondering if there's a good quality Vietnam era M-14 bouncing around anywhere. I know INQ had a great one in their pack but it had that aimpoint on it. Is there a version like that without an aimpoint and just iron sights, by INQ or someone else?
-
What kind of different gear did US Marines carry in 1965 that they didn't during the later years, besides the obvious being the M-16's over M-14s and newer radios...I also believe they were eventually given the H-Harness LBE's also, maybe they had those early on too. I've never heard of them not being issued flak-jackets in 1965 however. I've seen numerous photographs from the early days (including Op Starlight) were US Marines were wearing flak jackets (Obviously some discarded them or there weren't enough to go around). Also, Phillip Caputo, author of A Rumor of War referenes wearing flak jackets, and he was with the first Marines there, with the 9th Marine Expeditionary Brigade (MEB). The infantry element of this MEB was 3/9, Caputo being a member.

So INQ didn't make a non-aimpoint version? Didn't the Unsung guys say the M-14 in your early shots were from INQ? They looked just like the aimpoint one but without it on there. Or is that the one that comes out when your big mod is done?

They're pretty good units, and they should fill in pretty well until RHS realeses those awesome units

Man we need some mirrors for this one...

First off I'd just like to say...THANK YOU! All in all very cool pack with lots of little things in here that I really dig. First I like how you can see the bolt go back and forth on the AKs, neat little feature. I also think that AK/M203 weapon is just unique and really cool. I also love the sand camo'd AK for the Egyptian commandos. I noticed I few things (which I've already fixed on my own). Some of the AK's have the regular BIS iron sights while other have the Earl ones? I guess that's the only bug I really noticed. That and the muzzle flash covers up the ironsight texture on the M-16/CAR-15. Just some regular questions now. Is that Israeli UH-1 going to be realesed? Or is it already out and part of another pack? Also, why are the Commandos primarily armed with the most out-dated weapons? I don't doubt your doing it, I just find it intersting they have half Port Said's while all the other units primarily have AK's. All in all, really good pack.

These guys are looking really cool. Does anyone know if it's possible to export VBS units into regular OFP the way regular OFP units can be exported into VBS?

When I edit the config in the BAS_DeRaW for the units to carry different weapons they still come up carrying the same BAS Jam M4's instead of the weapons I've editted in for them to carry in the config. Am I editting the wrong config? Is the one in BAS_DeRawJAM the config I need to changing? Are this configs somehow protected?
-
I'm trying to simply change the arm-patch on a texture of a certain soldier model. What files would I want to open, what I need to open/edit them with?
-
They have Commandos in the pack, they're called Royal Marine Commandos.

I recently tried to find a download for the Malvinas british chopper pack but the link on their site is down. Does anyone know where I can find a working link for the pack?
