Airsoft & Paintball and those in between.

God, so glad I'm not the only one! I've been snobbed once or twice on this thread for my lack of anal retentiveness towards making sure my gear and gun looks like the real thing! It's the gameplay that matters!

Whoa boy, no need to get so feisty . I'm sure your taste in music will some day reach the level of your taste in games. Caught at bluesfest this month, never had heard of e'm before, was a matter of me saying to my buddy "Whatever is playing on that stage sounds better than this one, finish your beer and let's head over". Anyhow, great show, lots of energy - bought their CD on the spot and then a couple of days ago I find out they did the Transformers theme .

Because if music was the FPS Genre, Sum 41 would be Counterstrike. Sure, some of the people here may enjoy it once in a blue moon, but I doubt many would admit it.

After the show I dropped in on some friends from Quebec for a bit of jamming and more than a bit of alcohol. Myself on a friend's bass: Lovely percussionists:

The absolute highlight of the night for me - Carlos Varela, straight from Havana. A little taste from home, and an amazing performance.

    Transformers The movie (07.04.07)

Very entertaining flick! Am I the only one who imagined that part of the music during the freeway fight, and Optimus' battle with Megatron, was very reminiscent of the Terminator theme?

    New JJ Abrams Film "Cloverfeild"

I just got around to seeing Transformers and just saw this - very intriguing. I have a feeling the Godzilla angle is a decoy - it just seems too obvious for the amount of trouble they're going to to keep info under wraps (especially with the trip to Japan reference). Cthulhu or Shiva would be very interesting

Thanks Daddl . Bit OT, but just found this video of the performance of the first band in my photos (with the fiddler and the Irish dancers) -Delhi2Dublin - Pretty unique, and very enjoyable - check it out: *edit* Just noticed that the fiddler's wearing a different pair of tights than in my pictures, so the video must have been from an evening show - the one I caught was just afternoon. To keep it ontopic, another shot of them: And another later that night: Handheld at 200mm - Who'da thunk 3200 ISO would come in handy?

Only the last one is HDR . But yes, I used a tripod on all but the first, and yes, it can be challenging to get 5 exposures without a millimeter of movement, especially when changing shutter speed on the camera. Good shot BTW, like the mix of red and greens

Thanks killagee, it's an HDR - 5 exposures, metered at +3.0, +1.5, 0, -1.5, -3.0, combined with a freeware program called qtpfsgui. Photoshop CS2 also has the ability to render HDR's. Been playing around with HDR's for a while, and it seems like 5 exposures is the magic number -I've tried with 3 and 4 with most others, but they haven't ended up as nice as this one.

What do you do when you come home from work at 1am to an appartment with no electricity, because your roomate didn't pay the hydro bill on time? Well, you obviously take a moment to reconsider your living situation, but, gotta give credit when due - at least he did pick up some candles - so at this point I can't vent my day's frustrations by shooting up some Nazis in Red Orchestra, but at least I can read, play my acoustic guitar, and try out photography by candlelight:
