I'm a little dissapointed...On the box it is mentioned that minumum sys.requirent is equalent to the original OFP game! (damn codemasters) It doesnt say nothing about recomended sys. requiremnts!<span id='postcolor'> If I look at my OFP-Resistance CD-box, I see a very little comment just above the Codemasters logo: "Minimum system requirements are equivalent to the original Flashpoint Recommended specifications." And the original Flashpoint has following recommended specifications: win 95/98/2000 DX 8 Pentium III 600 CPU or better 128Mb RAM 16Bit Direct Sound Compliant Sound Card Compatible 3D graphics card with 32Mb RAM 24x CD-ROM 450Mb Hard Drive space So if these are the minimum requirements, the recommended specs are something different...

However you will miss DirectSpeak so if that is important for you I guess you have to use DirectPlay instead of Sockets.<span id='postcolor'> Doesn't sound very useful, We want to use side channels and group channels, and when Admin "ReAssigns" the map and people goes to different groups, do we need to alt-tab to windows and move ourselves into correct "channels" to get them work as a Group channel? For example if we are playing a 30-man coop with 3 squads, it's important to use Group channels when playing, so we dont mess other group's conversations, and I think that using 3rd Party softwares just makes it too complicated.

Well that´s too bad if in-game voice is impossible with Sockets, i guess we have to stick with the Directplay then. I do not see how we can replace the great in-game voice in OFP with a 3rd party programs, It´s great to have an option to use Global, Side, Group and Vehicle channels in game, and even directspeak now and then. Kabukiman, how have you noticed the lag what is caused by the voice, can you be more specific? We play on a very fast server too, most of us play with dsl´s, and have ping´s about 35-50, some players even below 30, and it does not lag, ever. Maybe little warping with AI players in bigger coop-missions, but lag, never. Of course the voice isn´t working very well with clients who play with modem or ISDN, because their bandwith isn´t "big" enough.
-
Well, it´s not a surprise if U get lag with a ping of 300, that´s unplayable delay IMHO. OFP runs very well on a dedicated server where every client has a ping 40-50, U just need to find a server with good connection located relatively close to you.

BIS thank you for this game and great storyline(s), at least in 1985- and resistance-campaigns. Our people have always fought against the russians, and we will. I enjoy your campaigns very much, they RULE! (except the Red Hammer, which was nice but on the wrong side...) Â

THX Kege, what's next? I'm still waiting for the smoking-mode...

One bug which should be fixed is the fireplace-bug. We were playing one map where Russians attacks a NATO base in darkness, and there is 2 fireplaces in the base. Defenders DID put the fire off, but attackers still saw the fireplaces in flames... We tested this couople of times, and it doesn't work. If your teammate puts out fire, it's still burning on your monitor...

I know one guy who used the Dynamic range sound-replacement, and after he installed the patch 1.46, he removed the Dynamic-files as told in the addon´s readme-file. So he went into his BIN-folder and replaced the config-file with the old 1.42 version config.bin file. This issue was the problem, why he got the "uses modified config file" message all the time. I know that this is his own mistake, but i know few guys, who made this same mistake, so re-installing the 1.46 patch should help in this case.

1.When ordering a MOVE-command to a whole squad, the move-marker should be visible. It only works when commanding a single unit. (same problem with targeting, though I'm not sure). 2. A Soldier can climb up hill faster when moving sideways (strafe). 3. AI tanks seem to climb up hills faster than should. 4. AI soldiers should hear better, when firing with M-16 just 200-300 meters away, enemy AI-soldier should be alerted... 5. AI tanks can see too far in bad vicinity, especially when its foggy... I love this game, thank you Corporal Taku   LDDK http://kyllikki.cjb.net/
