Well, I gave a 8 sorry. The ONLY reason for that is SOUND. I still feel like sound is making at least 30% of the game, and I feel like sounds in OFP could be a bit better. I remember the time with my trusty Amiga 500 where I felt IN the game simply because the overall sound was realistic. Otherwise, I must say CONGRATULATIONS to BIS for this great piece of software. Eventhough, the goal of the game is to kill other soldiers, it is a GAME, and among the very best if not the best I have enjoyed so far !

Well, I must say that I do have also strange background noise. It is really anoying. Indeed I never had these problems with my previous PC that was Win98se+SBlive based and patch v1.30. Now, with my new setup I have to systematicaly disable both hardware and EAX support if I don't want to get strange noises. I am using Gold edition + patch 1.42. I must also say that this is a fresh install on WinXP, with almost no software but OFP ! As you will see from my config, it might be related to nForce based sound, but other games work fine. Using WinXP I always have to do a CTRL-TAB to make a second mouse pointer disapear ... I also wish to have a better support for joystick to control planes and helicopters for instance...but that's not a real bug ! Hi there - Before I format my hard drive I did save the USER/ folder wich contains the saved games... Now, I reinstall it, replace the new USER folder with the one I saved on a CDR, but for some reasons it does crash... Thanks 4 the help !!
