Anyone else having difficulty installing the Resistance SP demo? I am trying to install it and keep getting a message saying it cannot find flashpointpreferences file - which does exist. Also, when beginning the install, it says my DirectX version is unknown. I have DX8.1 installed and verified thru DXDiag. Running Windows XP and no other problems with games. OPF itself runs fine - maybe just a bad download? Thanks! T

Perhaps a valid point, but I am sure most people don't use a force feedback controller for 7 hours per day like this kid did. This is an extreme case which of course serves to build an inflated case against yet another source of recreation for which we all must suffer if it is decided that FF devices must be pulled from the market. Oh well, for the average person who puts in a couple of hours a week, it would have been a nice feature to add realism to the game. Timereaver

Does anyone know if OPF supports Force Feedback? That would be so cool if it does, imagine the difference flying helis and driving tanks! If it isn't supported, does anyone know why not and if it will be implemented in the future?? Timereaver

Hi there - I had the same problem and solved it by disabling DMA for the CD Drive and Hard Drive. Applied the patches, and then re-enabled DMA (you'll have to reboot a couple of times). Good luck, Timereaver

Can you point us to where Microsoft has stated this about Windows ME? I'd be very interested to pass this along to my friends. Thanks, Timereaver

Hello all! Just wondering if anyone would know why ammo for custom weapons like MM1, Steyr Aug, Javelin, etc... doesnt seem to be present and available in ammo boxes when it works just fine in the editor?? Also, it seems to only happen to me alone as the other players on the opposing side have no problem. I have typed in everything correctly and even listed the ammo first, but should I clear the default contents first??? Any help would be appreciated!

AI Units firing on custom/added objects
Timereaver posted a topic in OFP : MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
Hello all - I haven't found the solution on a search so here goes: If I add additional objects like tanks, M2's etc.. into a mission, for example - CityConflict where east and west start on opposite ends of the town - the AI players on the opposing side start firing on those added items. Is there a scripting command I can use to tell them that those items are friendly? Thanks in advance! Timereaver
