    COOP WEP CHOICE?

    I have made some coop maps and will be making more. The question I have is; Should I allow players to choose any weapon they want or should I limit the weps to keep players from 'breaking' the map? For example, one map I made would play the way I intended with most normal guns, but would be very very easy if I allow the sniper rifle or LAW launchers. On the one hand, I think players would like to choose any weapon, and can decide on their own if they want it balanced. HOWEVER, as a mapper, if players play that map as snipe or law, they can quickly beat it and may get bored, without realizing the full quality of the map. Thanks.

  6. Here is one that I probably knew the answer to before, but after a 2 month hiatus, I just can't remember, so any real help is appreciated. I just want a trigger to kill anyone that steps into it.

  8. Last question tonight. I want a trigger to re-trigger itself every 20 seconds. I have tried setting a trigger to 'repeatedly' with WEST as the activator, but the WEST unit that activates it still needs to leave and re-enter the trigger area to get it to work again. Thanks.
  9. I have been thru quite a few of the Art strikes from the editing center, and thanks to those that have made these available. I am looking for opinions on which one would work best for my mission. I want the artillery to hit randomly in a large rectangle area during the whole mission. I would also like the Art strike that causes the least bog down. The strikes will average about 10 seconds apart Thanks.

  11. I have searched and searched the forum history to no avail. All I want to do is have my coop mission end when a west player makes it into the east base and takes the flag down from the flagpole. I have the flag in and I can take it down, but that's it. Thanks.

    What, unlimited respawn? Â Play some other mission if that is what you want. Frankly, I don't build for ded servers online. I build for the way we play, and that is for a group of 2 to 6 buds hooking up online or LAN. (Edited by Thundercok at 8:17 am on Nov. 23, 2001)

    YES, BUY A CD FOR EACH PC! I have paid for 3 copies for my 3 PC's and I do not regret it. I have informed my 3 best buds to get the CD and they have. We now play together very well. If you cannot afford the game, start earning some money on the side junior. Legally, that is.

    It has been fading when sharing one cd since the first patch to version 1.20, or if you bought 1.20, for most folk.

    From a non-camping ex-quaker I have no problem with that scenario. I never had a problem with quake 'campers'. Unless you have a binding agreement with the geekwad clan you are playing, you can do any d*amn thing you want to. "CAMPING" has been, and always will be, the cry of the anal that just got their head blown off. Happy trails, I say.

    End mission via script

    Well, I have end#1 etc triggers in the map, but it still will have the alive players going to debrief while some dead players continue floating. I want a definitive end for all in a multiplayer game. Thanks though. Hmm, just looked it up. I wonder what forceend does. (Edited by Thundercok at 11:13 am on Nov. 18, 2001)

    2 PC\'s behind Linksys to play net Game

    We are playing on others games and our setup is 2 PCs on LAN with local ip addresses to ISDN hub. Â The hub is the true IP address and ours are just local assigned. The only problem we have is OUR games do not show up in Gamespy or All-Seeing-Eye. Sounds like what you are asking. (Edited by Thundercok at 5:42 am on Nov. 20, 2001)
