Hi! I am stuck at the mission where 4 (at least) waves are attacking the city from south and I have to defend it. Now, I first placed the fences, but apparently wrong because all tanks ignore my little minefield at the south road and come from slightly south-east or even total east. So: The first tank (M1A1) is destroyed by a mine. Although it depends on where _I_ am, if I am left of it it will turn over and fall on i's top, if I move to the right of the mine, it will be blown up and move on. Since the guys only get out when it is on top I need to be left of the tank. Probably they see me and stear otherwise depending on the side where I am. If I am on th right, I need an AT4 to finally kill the tank. Okay, so far so good. The three M60 are dispensed with AT4 /no mines since they refuse to go into my minefield and I idiot planted it wrong). The M113 are dispensed of with Mines (hehe), I kill two sblack-ops and take their satchel, place a few of them. The next M60 is killed by a mine, the disembarking men by my satchel. So far, so good. Then come three M60, and I got only two AT4 left, the BMP is always killed when engaging them, and there are the other spec-ops running around. I can't place satchels (no time, M60 will kill me). So, how do I beat this mission? I don't have any AT4 left, nor mines (the M60 come from east, anyway, and my last 2 mines are lying south). Any ideas?

You a utility that let's you save/load more than one time - absolutely necc. here. The last part is hard, and you can not pick up the guys before repairing your chopper (although they are already there). Retry it a couple times and disable the vulcan first! HTH

The sqaud in the back comes via boat (no cheap spawn!). You can snipe the boat driver, and they will go out and drown. (stupid AI sometimes ;) HTH

Ah I thought the Shilka was FUBAR. *sight* I will have to try again, by placing the fences differently. The Abrahams never came the main road, probably because I blocked it. It always came up over the hill :/

Btw, whoever thought it would be cool to place a non-stoppable-20-second-death-animation on a mission where you die approximately 500 times (no kidding!), should be drawn across the marketplace, while flogged with copies of the RedHammer CD :/ Although it looks cool, I get so bored waiting all day until I can try (and die after 10 seconds) again, that it really starts to get on my nerves. *gnaw*

I just picked up the CD from a local retailer. 39 DM (about 20 Euro), cheap for what you all get IMHO (heh, it has the v1.30 patch and the new RedHammer campaign and I can pick it up anonymously!). I have DSL, but I found it easier to install it from CD-ROM, have anything handy etc. Is the CD-R not available everywhere?

I was hitting a house with a tank, and for some minutes a table in the inside was bouncing all around, bouncing into walls, the ceiling, other tables. Took quite a while to came to rest. Sort of rubbber ;)

There is a confirmed (and supposedly already fixed) bug in OFP that runs like this: Any team member of the AI team will report the position of an enemy _accurately_ to all other team members. The others than attack the enemy, if they have a clear line of fire, even though they don't have a clear line of sight. In that mission, your squad will be killed by the guys behind the bush at the side of the fuelstation because one guy is running in front of the bush and reporting all you. I solved it by running _fast_ to the left, flanked them and throw a granade at the fuelstation. That got most of them, and most of my squad survived (these that died re-appeared in mission two, anyway :/ Then go to the right, drop into a bush and aim at the guys coming over the open field. HTH

You need to kill the Vulcan first, otherwise it kills you. Just retry it,it really works. You might need to wait a couple of minutes/seconds on the pickupsite, because in my case the guys weren't there and I had to wait until theycame running (they are there when you go there before going to repair your heli, though). If the missile firerate is slow, try to decrease the resolution of oFP, maybe your computer is a bit to slow. HTH

Simple, because RedHammer hasn't changed a thing from v1.30, so if it is in v1.30, it will be in RedHammer, nothing to be slip trough etc. And if that piece of sentence isn't refering to "v1.30 over RedHammer", then I don't know ;) Btw, I didn't tell you it don't happen, itjust never happened for me. It probably doesn't happen for the developers,so they can't fix it. Or there were more pressing problems. I dunno. Sorry that I can't help you more.

Sorry, I was speaking about the "small camp with fire" where the LAW soldier is - the small camp is nearer to where you start, you see the fire very faint in about the direction where the real camp is. Oh, and if you didn't finish yet that mission, prepare for some more fun in that vincinity..the next mission has bugs, too (you need to do things in a certain order or it won't continue/finish :/ And make sure you really kill all helis, or the mission won't end! Good luck!

RedHammer and v1.30 are identical exe files/versions as confirmed by SUMA. Maybe the wall collapsed, but you don't see it because of Hardware T&L? HTH

This also happens in non-dedicated servers, I have seen it on a mission hosted on one guy on ADSL. He died, got a gull, and the leader bracket stayed with the dead body. Frustrating, since you can not order the AI nor take the command :-/ (I was the only other human left, so I had to go on and leave the AI behind) Maybe only in Cadet mode? Or only when no respawn is set? -
You can savenge a LAW from the soldier in the camp at the middle of the field (look for a fire!) - that's how I killed the vulcans. The mission will only continue if you destroy the vulcans, me think. Provided we talk about the same mission here, of course. I hope this helps!

What me really angers is that the AI _instantly_ knows whether someone boards a vehicle or not, and whether this is someone friendly or not. Examples: Empty M1A1 and lots of BMP's, 300 - 400m away. Climb into it, and 3 seconds later you are killed by every BMP simultanously :( How do they know someone manned that vehicle, determine it is someone unfriendly, target and hit in that short time, from that range? As infantry you can walk circles round the tank and they won't notice you.

You _can_ destruct the lamps of jeeps etc. ;) The lamps of the BMP don't matter, he will turn them off anyway as sonn as he sees/hears you (to be a bit more hidden) and rely on it's NV equipment. What I am missing is that we can descruct street lamps etc. HTH

I always found him on that particular hill. Oh, and I am using him as a gunner for my heli. So much fun ;) And my best method of capturing him is crushing the jeep with the heli, just landing on top of it. Very cool action ;) Cheers!

Hi Thomas ;) The first posted MP3 is gone :-/ I'll check out the others, that sounds like a very cool addon ;o) Oh, and I could give you 20-30 MB on fast US servers, but we would need to talk about download limits.
