AI shooting through hills, houses and walls - Impressions of the game
teach replied to strelnikoff's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
Evidence: Game does not fully use all four cores limiting cycles for AI processing (not to mention no hyperthreading support) Evidence: Game engine AMAZINGLY not designed for 64bit OS thus having access to all RAM. Why? You know why. Also, as a Operation Flashpoint till now player, I really really really dislike the greek isle locale and futuristic era chosen. Why not current battlefields modern weapons? So much to chose from (IRAQ, SYRIA, UKRAINE, RUSSIA, USA, CHINA, on and on.) yet we get weird nations, weird weapons, and goofy locations. -
Hey thanks!

Sometime during the past few updates (I dont know which one) it seems as though some of the sounds arent centered correctly. particularly, the sounds of my footfall or crawling sounds like its coming from the rear in my G35 headset....not from "center". A) Is anyone else having this issue? B) Is there any way to adjust this? Thanks

I have this problem as well. Im on a Win7 64 bit 8GB RAM GTX680SLI rig on an OC'ed i5-2500k at 4.6Ghz. Single player is fine and some MP servers are fine. Every now and then I am on a server that does this (depicted in your video). I defragged my HD, have the game on a 10000 RPM RAID 0, and checked all my settings on my LAN and NIC.

Arma 2 + 3 freeze occasionally during online/multiplayer.

I have this too. Only on some servers though. It will stutter every 4-5 seconds. Other servers in ARMA3 are fine. SP offline is fine. -
GTX780 in SLI, do I have unrealistic expectations?
teach replied to Coflash's topic in ARMA 3 - TROUBLESHOOTING
Maybe I missed it but you do have a 64bit OS with at least 8GB ram with that beast of a PC correct? If not, theres your likely problem. -
Arma 3 massive FPS issues, Tried everything - Nothing works.
teach replied to Weecow's topic in ARMA 3 - TROUBLESHOOTING
I think you need to get into a 64bit OS so games can have as much RAM as possible without having to share 3.6GB with the OS. This is very important I have found with FPS in ARMA 2 and 3. -
I like the blurring to simulate being exhausted. I really hope it stays as a forced model. I always prefer games to have robust options but in this case, it makes perfect sense when you run uphill too long or gas yourself to suffer tremendously for that. Thanks BIS. ---------- Post added at 03:55 ---------- Previous post was at 03:53 ---------- Seriously?? Wow. Im sorry but it hurts your eyes?? Seriously?? A deal breaker?? C'mon. Get real.

Same issue here. Tried to defrag. No luck. I have i5-2500k OC'ed to 4.6GHZ and GTX680s in SLI on 8MB RAM.

Im using a Logitech 7.1 headset. Just want to report that the sounds of my players footfall as I run only seems to be coming from rear speakers. Shouldnt that be the one sound the plays across all speakers? Also, please make the sound of enemy soldiers (especially those wearing gear) louder when they run around or are very close trying to creep up. Thanks.

Sorry if this has been asked for before (just ignore it), but I was curious to know if there was consideration and or discussion for adding in small dust clouds being kicked up by weapons being fired on sand or dirt? Here is a link showing it in action:
