So i just need to adjust a setting under CPU ratio?

I am going to start to overclock just one step and see how it goes, i havent changed the cooling. its the standard one i got with the new cpu.

When i bought the new CPU and cooler with it, it had some of it. Its been almost a week now, dont think another layer of paste is needed?

Do i need to put thermal paste before i overclock? or is that only the case when i change the cooler?

Wow! Thanks man, both of yous. This will sure help, so its just setting a different parameter in bios and keep watching it and do it step by step. Doesnt seem that hard after reading the posts, but the orange cooler isnt plugged onto the cpu yet. Its still packed, i plan to give it back and i allready ordered the other one, that Leon mentioned. I will be getting that after the 15th because its out of stock. Should i wait for that? or just go Overclocking with the default cooler at this moment?

So Leon, these coolers are supposed to fit into any case right? So i dont need to worry about it not fitting into my case? In any case i should overclock when i buy the 212plus cooler? i searched the previeus posts and cant seem to find the link to overclocking cpu :S

Oke so its not a good cooler, but surely better then the standard i now have. But i am scared to shit when it comes to overclocking, any good advice on what program to use and how to do it? And can i still use my original cooler? Because i now have the side cases open because its warm, its much more noisy now but i have put an ventilator next to my case. Hello, could someone provide me with links to infantery campaign missions. Like in operation flashpoint. Not special forces or fly missions. And not to many addons please.

I liked the second campaign of Zipper, the one in Takistan. Are there any SP missions who are played in Takistan instead of Chernarus? SP Missions like, clear this village. Take out enemy in this town etc.

@Dice, whats your CPU? I want to be ready for ARMA3, so i will wait with upgrading. I will only upgrade my GPU if it will significantly increase performance with ArmaII.

So a radeon 6850 and a CPU i allready have X4 3.2 should give me another 10+fps? otherweise its not worth it.

I will tell a true story, me and my team were playing a game on evolution map back in Arma days. We were shot down above a big city, we were all scattered in the city. We tried to get to each other so we could go on with our objective. The problem is, the city was full of AI troops hunting us down. Some of us got killed while jumping. Me and my CO got together, we went house by house surrounded by the AI. After half an hour roaming the city trying to survive, it went dark. We aint got NV goggles. That was the end of it, but the tense feeling, the urge to survive, the feeling you can get shot and killed with every step you make. That feeling, that is what ARMA is, you aint gonna get it with another game.

Hmm i see, thanks for clearing up Dice. I am thinking of upgrading my videocard, but maybe its not a good idea since i can play arma2 OA now. I think ill wait for Arma3, its not worh buying a new videocard for 150dollars who will be worth nothing when playin arma3

i have everything on normal, AA off. I get minimum of 25fps, and max 60 or something most of the time in Takistan. In Chernarus it drops down more, maybe because of wooded area. I have AMD X4 3.2 Ghz HD4870 1gb videocard. 8 GB ram. I am happy at the moment, because i can play Arma 2 now. With my old CPU i had even trouble running the game at low. What help does it give to performance, if you add cpu=count or something similair in the exe file? @BrainFriss, you can change it in menu, video options and the view distance. Its a slide you can pull to left or right. I have it on 2000 standard.

So when is the full campaign planned for release? Will it be like the one released for Arma 1? I think that was a great succes.

need help. on the mission with the shilkas, i cant seem to place satchesl, i use ACE. Can anyone provide me with good servers? I am new to Arma2 multiplayer, cant seem to know what all the symbols mean. In Arma1 it was quite easy. I would like to play good COOP and other maps for cooperation.

its a very good campaign, giving player multiple views of the conflict. The special op missions i did not like. I prefer infantry and armoured warfare. On some occasions i get 10 fps drop down in some areas. Like the castle mission and the ambush part.

you mean the benchmark 1? To be honest i am happy with the current settings, because its way more beautiful then on my previeus CPU. I could hardly play it even on low. Now i can play it on normal/high sometimes dropping a bit fps. I found out that i have a much higher fps in takistan then in chernarus. Maybe because of the wooded areas? But luckely i got the heat factor under control now, it stays under 50 now even playing the game. benchmark 1 marked a 36average fps. is a bit low i think.

Thank you very much Tonki!! Most of them on the list i allready downloaded, yeah SaOK has got talent. The thing now is, i cant choose what to play first. I did campaing of Arma2, OA, i am almost done with BAF, and on first mission PMC. I allready started with Colbalt.
