is the alpha any good? i mean worth the 25euros? i may be buying the deluxe edition, will the deluxe contain the full game?

Fellas, i am going to buy a new motherboard, cpu and memory. I have this in mind since i have a low budget, i will have to use same case, HD and graphic card. Have a look: AMD A8-5600K "Trinity", Black Edition ASUS F2A55 Kingston HyperX 8 GB DDR3-1866 Kit in total it will be about 250euros which is acceptable for me, will i be able to run arma 3?

how will my system perform with ArmaIII? It did struggle at times with ArmaII: Main board: ASUS M4A78 PRO (whats the max upgrade for CPU?) CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 955 processor Socket AM3 938 Core Speed: 3.6Mhz GPU: ATI Radeon HD 4870 1GB

I dont use ACE2 at the moment, only thing i use is a sound and effects mod. And it still does not work, i have the game patched and have the addons installed. Cant seem to play this wonderful campaign.

Effect mod and a sound mod, nothing else and of course the persian hammer addons.

What is the heat of the CPU? Download a monitor program to check that.

Believe me, it will get you average of 10fps+ like i got.

I have overclocked to 3.6 without having to change the voltage. And it worked well with stock cooler, i now have a better cooler. I plan to overclock again to 3.8, the last time it did not go well because of low voltage. Here is how i did it, guys on the forum helped me. scroll down to the long post of domokun. excellent step by step how to overclock.

Only thing that helped me was overclocking, i have the same CPU as you. My CPU is not at 3.6 ghz overclocked, it gave me an average of 40 instead of 20.

i am not into pilot missions and spec ops, does it have more infantry based missions? and how are the Gothic Serpent and Deser Wrath?

Does GL4 have effect on performance? like drop of fps?

My games froze a couple of times, i got like those triangles in screen like the ones you see sometimes in armaII with ati cards. I put it back again, so far no freezing. Maybe it wasnt stable after all. Where do i adjust the voltage?

I am downloading it at the moment, but could it be coincidence? that i got artifacts and game freezing after i overclocked to 3.8?

Ah oke i use a different effect, explosion mod. I would like to try blastcore.

how can you use 2 soundmods?

I put it back from 3.8 to 3.6 because i had a couple of times that the game froze. Before i overclocked i didnt have that problems, looks it wasnt running stable after all.

extra voltage means extra heat right?

No i mean raising voltage for CPU, i fixed the gpu heat by adjusting the speed to 100%. It now stays under the 50, normally it was above 50C.

Leon, is there a harm if i raise the voltage slightly? I played Arma OA yesterday, for couple of hours. I once had artifacts in the screen because my videocard went hot. I noticed that it was on 50% fan, and since then it is good.

Leon, i have installed the Cooler Master Koeling Hyper 212 Plus. And i overclocked my processor again to 3.8 It runs stable, i have a slight increase in performance. I now have 35-36C idle. And when playing Arma II OA i get around 45C. My case has a better airflow now. So far i didnt had to adjust the voltage. I may overclock again to 4.0 and hopefully without problem.

i am getting all kind of errors. Ive got the latest mission and phaddons installed, i used to type campaing in order to skip the start where the game freezes. But it crashed again when i started the mission, my helicopter was hit and it went dark. After that mission was cancelled, i pressed continue and it crashed.
