I purchased ARMA 2 when it first came out last year, however I seem to have lost the game, but still have my manual with the CD key and box. so im wondering if theres a place i can legally download the game for free not having to purchase it again? thanks

its not a problem with my computer.... ive been playing this game for months with no problem. i try playing it yesterday, this occurs. my video card is only 60 degrees when i play ARMA 2 and 45 degrees while idle. power supply is 620 watts and is enough to power half of manhatten probably haha. it is a problerm with ARMA2 just like the same problem was in ARMA 1. looks like operation flashpoint might be the better choice i guess ---------- Post added at 09:32 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:31 AM ---------- 8 gigs actually helps a lot... and i run on a 32 inch screen and built this computer myself. thanks.

ive gotten used to the game and love it now especially playing in squads, however the amount of lag i witness is just disgusting, and its the same lag i witnessed in ARMA 1 and no it is not frame rate lag, it is internet lag. why cant this be fixed and why has nothing been done about it since two years ago? i want to enjoy the game but i cant when servers keep breaking and i see a guy run in place for 30 seconds. and its not my internet either, i have 30 mbps download and 5 mbps upload

i am in the US and i did play in 15th MEU and it was good..... until a lot of people joined and it kept crashing..

turn anti aliasing to low and you will get no mouse lag. i had the same problem

there are very few servers with less than 150 ping and very few people that ever play except a few servers. adversarial multiplayer i can see is hugely unpopular and it is sad because i like it, however i dont like how sometimes i need to run for 15 minutes before i get killed and have to do it all over again.. ive tried co op and i really have no clue what is going on other than complete the mission, but the ai is the most cheap ai i have ever seen. they see everything.

i am in the United States and yes there are some servers with 60 ping. the problem with those are they are co op and have 0 people in them. just like in ARMA 1, there is a huge lack of servers for us.

private? ive seen pvp servers and the only thing i found in them was massive lag and no fun. and no, games have not taught me wrong, i was a huge fan of arma 1 but the lag i get in this one *not frame rate lag* is just ridiculous. I am not a fan of co op games that much and i can handle the ai fine, i am just saying that i thought this game would finally support huge servers of 120 people and NOT lag. joint ops did it 5 years ago and i have yet to see any other game accomplish that.

you are 100% correct. sucky computers that played Joint Ops always had the advantage in it.

i bought the german version, and i have not even patched it to the latest patch yet. i go into the game *terrain on normal, shadows on normal, evrything else on high* and i get smooth gameplay with no slow down. in ARMA 1 i had to run everything on normal or LOW due to the horrible optimization, but i have to say, you guys outdid yourselves this time. good job.

i was disappointed when i purchased ARMA1 due to there being a huge lack of American servers and mostly foreign servers which i wouldnt join due to lag. hopefully ARMA 2 gets the attention it deserves so i can play it online
