Xfire: Now includes fix for ArmA2 compatibility
StryDa replied to alef's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - GENERAL
Thanks Shinobi. Note to Windows 7 users you can find the xfire_games.ini in C:/ProgramData/Xfire/ I think ProgramData is a hidden folder so may have to change folder options to see it. And just follow what Shinobi said, works well :). -
Nice pictures [CAS]Daniel! Love the T72 and Church with machine gun ones

I have a equirerectangular panorama (think that's how it is spelled) on my website here. It is around 4-5 Mb.
-
I have an X-fi extreme music card. I have over a year old driver that works as every other driver I have used results in numerous BSOD. Their hardware is great their drivers are useless.

Hellfreezer make sure your running the Queens gambit shortcut otherwise it sometimes gives errors like that.
-
Very nice. Couldn't see any fps reduction looking at the video. Does it play well near the more denser build up areas? Anyway can't wait to have some close infantry fights there :P
-
Well At the moment Elliot is in the middle of buying a house and moving in so the project is slightly on hold but we will have to talk about the worth of doing it now or wait for ofp2/arma2.

Wow must sounds even better when in game all doudsn in that video are a bit crackly. But them helos sill sounds very good. Nice one waiting for release
-
Thanks got it Nice shots btw, Maybe you should mask out the runway it looks very plastic or waxy finish around the cracks but i love the effect on the planes.

Well as i posted in trouble shooting BIs probably don't have control over the length of IDs as the publishers are the ones that issue keys/IDs. So how can they claim them to be illegal when all we have is some guy saying he got a PM saying they are illegal which we saw no proof of an email?

Illegal 10 digit id error while Legal PLEASE HELP
StryDa replied to {9thInf}Winchester Delta1's topic in ARMA - TROUBLESHOOTING
How can you say 10 digit IDs are illegal? We have had no official say on this but i dont think we will as BIS doesnt control ID the publishers do they make the keys... Obviously when a certain amount are sold they have to go to more IDs. there alot of 10 digit ids and everyone is banning them and saying they are illegal... -
aren't 10 digits legal im 100% sure some one posted the other day (troubleshooting forum) saying he got a cd key off a download version after a reinstall and he has 10 digit id and keeps getting kicked and having crazy stuff like turning into seagull.

Operation Flashpoint 2 officially announced
StryDa replied to imported_bör's topic in OFFTOPIC - Games & Gaming
I just watched the trailer again and im wondering why it shows US equipment in the trailer and at the end in the picture bits. Theres defiantly a hummer in the picture bits and the tank looks like an m1 and soldiers like US army? i though Dragon Rising was going to be China vs Russia? -
I can easily model i've been trying it with not pictures but you cant make accurate models you need iamges in background but it just keeps failing even if i follow Klinks tutorial when i get to top view you can't see the texture ever its really annoying as i would like to start modeling a real object and no one seems to want to help out around here.
-
Right made a small bit of progress with my problem... i've managed to map to background on one plane but others arent showing up and i don't know why not.
-
JB i also get a problem with TGA texture it doesn't seem to map it to a plane i want it to and the plane is just white without the blueprint picture :S gonna keep fiddling see if i can find a way round but if any one else has found a way round please share.

The mapdisk.bat just makes an imaginary drive in this example it makes a P: drive which is actually /mydocuments/armawork/ . Some people are having problems getting it to work so try putting it in startup folder as mentioned in another thread. <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup Hope this helps someone.

I don't know mine runs automatically on start up... About the viewer i don't understand why it isn't working if it is going to right directory. Can anybody tell me why when i try to map a .tga texture to a plane it comes up converting something but then in viewer it doesn't show the texture on the plane
-
im trying to make a reference image on all sides to make it easier to start modeling. I get a plane load a texture get it so they align right press B for background mapping and it doesn't do anything its just a white plane without the drawing of a mosquito on it Edit: DaSqaude If you got File > Options where is the viewer pointing to? in most cases it should point to bohemian interactive folder but if your using Atari version I'm wondering if it still shows BIS folder and not though Atari?
-
Thank you so much this will come in VERY handy! As i don't know much about scripting and configs...
-
Right im 99% sure they are 1m squared... Next problem is that i can't map a background to a plane as a reference as shown in this tutorial http://www.dc3d.co.nz/tutorials/cheyenne.htm in section 'r' when you press the B key to apply background mapping it doesnt show the image in viewer.

Im new to model making and im wondering what the squares are equivalent to? are they 1mx1m?
