If I had the chioces of todays cards, I wouldn't do SLI again, I would go with 1 large card.

Yes free, The email I recieved this morning said they would send me the GTX260 asap since they could not fix the 8800. I inquired of my other 8800 and the SLI would not actually be a proper SLI setup. Awaiting a response, hoping they will offer a 285 or 295 for the 2 8800's. (Which I dought them doing so). Either way.... I may just do some extreme work with my other 8800 until it also needs replaced. :) Change to an ATI? It's an Nvidia chipset, would that be an issue?

I know that, but if I could go back 30 yrs, I could alter the Wizard and the Knights to look like military. And spells could be altered to weapons.

Any GTX260 users around? My bottom 8800gtx sli card died about 2 weeks ago, and Asus are unable to fix it at this time. They've offered me an ENGTX260/HTDP/896M. I'm waiting on a reply from them concerning my SLI. I'm wanting to trade both 8800gtx for a newer upto date single card. This pc of mine is just over 2 yrs old, but still feels very strong. I'm on the original install of Vista. I'm wanting (actually waiting) to format the Raid and install W7 RC. I will be doing this once I get my hands on ArmA II, since I will not need the ArmA server that is currently on the Raid.

And to think.....I was happy playing Wizard 30+ yrs ago. lol, spent more time typing the game to casette.

That reminds me.........is the Vista 64bit patch included?

I don't know about everyone else here, but CM keeps letting me down. After watching them restart the game twice, and only giving "real" updates every 6 months has become tiresome. Have you tried running it as administrator or UAC disabled? I had who's who OS backwards.

2 DOF? Does it work better than free look? I was #50 in the poll for TIR user, but I did try the FreeTrack awhile back.

The demo is a horrible comparison to ArmA patched 1.12 to 1.16. I'm able to run ArmA @2560x1600, very high & high settings with a 8800gtx 8000 vd seems to be my sweet spot. I see 40-70fps, and ArmA doesn't use my SLI. I'm hoping ArmA II will give me around the same gameplay.

Considering FreeTrack isn't really free, maybe NP should be offering TIR4 for a comparative price. Just a thought.

In bionics video, it looked like he could only view over his left shoulder, while the right side locked at 90 degrees? If thats a new version of freetrack, it does look better now adays, but I do not have a Wii to test it.

It's been over 1.5 yrs....version? I don't remember. Cam= Philips something, it's long gone. I glued the the reflectors to a "bent to fit" bracket cut from a sheet of copper. I'll agree with Dslyecxi since, If you read my post above mr.g.c......"I tried FreeTrack" before I bought TIR.

Thats the way I see it also, freetrack needs to spend it's own time, if it wants to be free. Maybe the author will create his own. I tried freetrack prior to recieving my TIR, it didn't feel smooth, nor near the movement, like TIR. (Maybe it has changed) Edit, yea...what Squint said above

Maybe when everyone gets 6-8 core cpu's, they will add automated moving trains around ArmA. For now, just the tracks and stationary trains should add to the atmosphere of the game. I can wait.

Col.Flanders, I actually like being able to check my six with ironsights and the ACOG scope. I wished it would do it on fixed scopes also. But I see what your wanting. Maybe one of us can stumble on a fix for you.

According to your pictures, I would think the guy on the left needs an ACOG scope also. As far as the guy on the right? Seems he alters his files. I personally wouldn't play with him. How do you stop it? :confused:

TrackIR is a specific piece of hardware. It is specifically designed for very few games. ArmA (BI Devs) supports TrackIR. Go look at your ArmA key binds, they are already setup. Yes, it WILL give you a better enjoyment of any game that supports it. Yes, it needs more advertising.
