The War Between the States - An American Civil War Mod
Stonewall Jackson replied to USMCLuke's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
I agree. It's too bad. I would have loved to see the continuation of the Civil War mod from Flashpoint. I look back and regret the petty bickering that was the old Civil War Mod! I hope someone...someday... stays the course. FWIW I still have the old models and scripts from Flashpoint and Arma1. I will upload them if requested. -
Thanks again Gnat! (great tutorials BTW!) I'll subscribe and check it out.
-
Thanks TD and Gnat. Yes I see them now. Much appreciated. I know I'm flowing a bit off topic but does any one know where I can get a look at the new class structures? I've never heard of Misc_thing class. When I made these fences for OFP Resistance I used class FenceWood: Fence {}; class wdfence: FenceWood ....etc. TIA
-
I made some fences quite a while ago. I did get them into ARMA1 quite easily but am having trouble seeing them in the editor now. I get no errors in the log when I binarize it and my models seem o.k. Any help would be appreciated.

A .......+1 and ........I agree 100%!!!!!!!!!!! Flares and Chaff plus an early warning. Some Mods had it as early as Flashpoint.

American Civil War Mod v.1.2 released.
Stonewall Jackson replied to Triglav's topic in ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Sorry I took so long to respond Longstreet! Yes I am. I actually made most of the shorter scenarios for them. Vicksburg Atlanta Far West (Trans Mississippi 61-62) Kentucky Invasion 1862 1862 west theater 1862 east theater I recently redid the Gettysburg and Shiloh scenarios which should make it into the next Official patch. Plus I am an active beta tester for the AGE Engine. I think Its a great game and a great and highly moddable Engine. Check out their forums (Most friendly to say the least) and the demo if you don't have the game..(my nic is Bigus........) AACW Forums I'm looking foward to checking out your work. + check out this link for sharing your files.....It's better than Crappy Share. MediaFire @Tsal....Great to see your still active man! TTYL. Hey Longstreet I just posted over at the old Mod site. Those are Great looking Optics btw...can't wait to check them out. Have you been testing out anything with Arma? Maybe we can get those optics in ArmA although I've only got the Enfield done I still have the other models waiting to be textured. Let me know. Stonewall -

Wow Great to see all you guys still interested in the Mod. Trig, ProfT and Longstreet...good to see you guys are still around. Great looking Optics Longstreet! @Snafu... I believe my old site has the last updated mission pack which played out fine in MP but we never tried on server/client just straight ip. latest mission pack I was hopeing to get back into ArmA but have been a little busy making scenarios for the AGEod "Blue and The Grey" game plus doing a little beta testing for them. Maybe I'll get back into it in awhile. Take care all. Stonewall -

Stonewall Jackson replied to Curatalo's topic in ARMA - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
We'll I might have to take a break from AGEod and start up trying to get these models in the game. I quit playing while I made some scenarios for the "American Civil War" guys over at AGE. Like I said ...the Models might take a while as My modeling skills are limited but 2 crappy models are better than no models at all. We'll see how it goes in the next couple of weeks. stonewall -

hope you all had a good Christmas! I'm gunna take time out from AGEod's Civil War which I've been playing for a while and take a shot at these Infantry Models again. Check out this game if your into Operational Civil War. It's a good game and a good company which listens to the general public. AGEod homepage If I can get these models done  I can move foward. stonewall -
American Civil War Mod v.1.2 released.
Stonewall Jackson replied to Triglav's topic in ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
We hate your computer too........ cuz it can't run the MOD........ Look back a couple of pages and see if you can spot something you missed. stonewall -
I'm not gunna quote anyone here The dammage values or hit values are the single biggest disappointing feature of the game right now. It is basically not even worth getting into a vehicle of any kind as it becomes an instant death trap! Version 1.06 values seemed to be good but in 1.08 they seemed too have changed something drastic. I love the game and have no problem with running it. But for now I will only make and play "Infantry only" scenerios. stonewall

Stonewall Jackson replied to Curatalo's topic in ARMA - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
well I am still at it. Here is WIP on the units. the problem with the soldiers is much tougher than I thought it would be. I think that they will have too redone from scratch. I have a working unit in the game and everything is working fine but I NEED Better models. My moddeling skills are very limited and am looking for someone out there too help with 1 Confederate and 1 union model. stonewall -
addAction in game
Stonewall Jackson replied to Dr. Mojo- PhD's topic in ARMA - MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
You might have too script it but it's not that hard...... Check out the "AddAction" and "ReMoveAction" Commands stonewall -
onMapSingleClick
Stonewall Jackson replied to Somerville's topic in ARMA - MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
onMapSingleClick {"eart" setMarkerPos _pos; ewayposx = (_pos select 0); ewayposy=(_pos select 1)} _pos is the whole package x,y,z variables.... ewayposx = (_pos select 0) is the x variable. etc..... hope this helps stonewall -
What would make QG a truely ass kicking expansion would be too include the Mod tools with it! I believe that the tools will be free for download anyway.(at least I hope they are:) ) Not only do you get the added content but you also get something that will really keep you involved for quite some time. Anyhow I think Gambit will sell o.k , the island alone will be worth the price for me. stonewall

slow progress on the guns but here's the musket. had too take out the reload anims and smoke but I got it into the game and it seems too fire o.k.. seems the soldier does'nt quite hold the rifle right as well so some work still has too be done. stonewall -
Ya I agree. The dammage values seem way out in left field. seems too have happened with the 1.08 patch. I hope BIS corrects the values in the next patch. (IE:Stryker being taken out with 10-15 shots and brewing up before I can bail by a MG UAZ .) stonewall

Testing out many things at once and things are going slow. The weapons are taking up a lot of my time but getting there. In the meantime here is the transport with the new particles, which are very nice btw!. still some config probs though, And as always the model is not the best. Still at it............ stonewall -

Stonewall Jackson replied to Curatalo's topic in ARMA - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
here's the last of the objects i'll port over with all the shadows enabled. I wanted too port the gunstack but I have too do a bit more testing on the weapons. I'm close on the ships. seems you have too add the turret animations in the cfgmodel section. not a prob but golf seems too be getting in the way of my testing here's a pic of the last of the objects. and Gettysburg in the desert?.......... stonewall -

Stonewall Jackson replied to Curatalo's topic in ARMA - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
@Gavin.... Ya it's the time period we're after right? A mission can be anything you want it too be, be it small or large. Too have the Immersion you gotta have the objects and hopefully the maps as well as the units and weapons. As for porting over from OFP....lets just say its easier for now as a start. @Col Faulkner....for sure keep up the work. PM me and see if we can get some of them ingame. stonewall -

Stonewall Jackson replied to Curatalo's topic in ARMA - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
well one small step for man........ I managed too get the fences into the game. since the objects are a little easier too port I figured I'd start there. here's some pics. gunna try some units and the rest of the entrenchments  then the "U.S.S Monitor" but it might take some time. @Col Faulkner......those are first class models we could use your skills. I never was any good at modelling and really dont have the patience. My model of the "C.S.S Virginia" was quite pathetic but I did get it working in OFP. stonewall
