    Community: LOOK AT YOURSELVES!

    Yes i think i'll too end reading these forums. If i just keep going, i fear that when i get the game i just playtest all features. Happened with Elder Scroll IV:Oblivion. Too much expetations results only as too high flying images of the game that results as FLAT! Just keep playing OFP and not watching to sides where people arque about AA. Second out.

    Artillery

    I'm not big fan of COC or WGL-mods artillery. They shoot true shells that fly and hit, but they also consume power from processor as that power could be used to AI or something else. Also i'm not compelitily sure that OFPs or even AAs ballistic model is accurate enough to model some 30 km long shots. Not nice surprice to find out that indirect fire went short some 500m killing your CO. Creating shells and determing distripution by values and mathematics is more effective way. Forexample COCs scifi map deploy firemissions and action-menu-panic are not that fancy as you shouting to radio WITH YOUR FACE RED coordinates, direction, length, etc. Again FDF-mod takes the lead with simple but realistic looking way (you tap firemission orders to SANLA. altough being too simple but then again how many of us are trained FOs (As a grunt in OFP you don't need to know how the gun works or how you place yourself to proneposition (legs, elbows, shoulder low etc.) you just tap "z" then "v" and press "mouse button 1"). I'm not trained FO and in COC unified artillery i didn't hit the target (two scattered infantry platoons inside valley) with my mortar platoon even at tenth adjusting round, when shell hit at 100m away from target and next (after tiiny-wiiny adjustment) round flew about half kilometer long. And that doesn't please me.

    Improved AI?

    ECP-mod has POWs if they are last men of their group (or something like that... that POW-feature and it's logics in ECP are quite fuzzy to me). -btw. Marek Spanel said that this feature should be in game 2 (ofp2)-. They might (after some beating) give you some details of enemy forces and where POWs have seen them. ECP-mod has this same feature... Now hold your horses! The thing is that they are only "aware" from begining of mission (not covering the time they have been posted with their platoon/company). So ending result is pretty useless (and ending up so that POW has been beaten to death) But with support of engine, ie. simulating long memory for individuals (positions/tasks/morale/supply), giving AI leaders ways to use this info, blah-blah-blah... Well we could say that: "hey! we have a MOST-REALISTIC-DYNAMIC-SP-CAMPAIGN EVER!" and that would be my dream-come-true (of course only if it could model batallion/brigade level)...and topic goes back to back to AI (wink-wink)

    We'll There is... that is the mode when you collapse to ground, and camera shows who shot you (you are dead). Atleast that what i think of. shot two times to hands or legs ain't going to kill you soon (if big veins are not damaged). Look at situation and think, what would be your changes (you are left to ground moaning and your buddys scattered away by nearing tank platoon and infatry). That is out of scope of OFP (still quite fasinating). your incapacitated and no more fit to fight for a long time. And yet from my point-of-view it ain't medics who bring them to safety. Some team member drag you out from firefight, your team members patch (or atleast try) your severe wounds up. I'm not trained medic so not exactly sure what all things they can do in field.

    about weapon sway

    Weapon sway is one of the most important spec to me. I simply can't enjoy original OFP when i've tasted FDFMOD's sway. It feels kind lame to stand and shoot accurately over 100 m away. Another thing is recoil which will change (gladly). Dunno about M16, but AKs have strong recoil (been shooting with finnish RK-62). I-ve heard and read that M16's sights hardly leave it's target, so recoil can't be even near of AKs. Autofire in FDFMOD is very insufficent way to deal with enemy even in close range.
