    No, I wont. There are about 40 different arma forums, and im just starting a discussion, which is about a general issue in arma. thats why im here, and btw, im tired of these answers and having my threads moved. Furthermore, posts like "use search function" are just too carelessly posted, in most times the search function doesnt work a shit, even if yer try 6 different, and clear keywords. So, btt.

    Ever noticed that if you go plant a satchel, go anywhere, blow the satchel, each single bot in the area will know where you are? They should actually know where the explosion is and go investigate -.- but no, they know where you are ... That was always a problem, but never spoken about, somehow. Furthermore, even with a silenced weapon at night, if you take out an enemy via headshot, his whole squad knows where you are. even if only the one you shot at was in line of sight. this makes silenced weapons useless, except you take out single units(that are not in a group) or a whole squad at once. Why has that never been fixed? These things are actually a shame for such an "old" game...

    In ArmA I learned to avoid driving tanks. simple reason: Its more dangerous than runnin around as infantry. This shouldnt be the case. BUT as player u still have no chance against a tank because AI can react fast enough, which a human would never be able too. And the thingy about the animations is still in it. It happened in ofp, but also with short reloadin anims in arma it still happens. you shoot a guy who is currently reloading, and he is not annoyed by you. when he is finished though, he dies. thats confusing, since u sometimes fire 50 shots at him in that time to the one who stated about a button to cancel anims. what about R? pressin reload while reloading aborts it...woulda be nice. I furthermore think the reloadin for small arms is too short, too, especially for MGs like the SAW (which has btw a way too low recoil making it uberweapon :P) So, obviously, the fast reloadin of rpgs was not done for gameplay reasons, but to avoid cs kiddies and magazines discovering it too early and making bad PR. i though find it nice that from time to time a dev answers to our senseless discussions greetings

    messiah i found it very uncomfortable givin all the command via the action menu, as it is actually needed for other things. furthermore, in ofp action menu and command menu were completely divided, but now in arma you sometimes cant use the action menu while the command menu is active. i find this extremely annoying at times, and it furthermore id like a window like the equipment one in arma, not just a text-only one. Of course that worked well and so on, but somehow it didnt feel good, u know. i also like keeping action menu clear for actions like boarding verhicles or so...its for spontaneous actions, not these long-time thingys like callin in arty.

    CoC unified arty with a better interface is what im missing in arma. it was just perfect. its not done in ofp or arma when you create arty fully realistic, because the rest of the game isnt fully realistic, either. Its very important to keep everything on the same level in order to keep it balanced. CoC not only managed to do this in a imho perfect way, they also made it very configurable depending on the grade of arcadeness/simulationess of the mission itself due to very easy use of the game logics etc. Just a better interface, which should be easily possible with arma.

    Lol, since they are prisoners, they are guarded, and therefore you shouldnt be discovered before their guard is killed. Try not running in there with your M2 spittin fire...guess what ur silenced weapons are for :P Find them, eliminate their guard. Yes, the mission is supposed to be not too hard IF the player follows his instructions. When the prisoners are dead, you get a pretty frustrating debriefing. Play it again! :P How did you like the atmosphere? did you find the graves? did you discover the 4th hidden objective? EDIT: Like I said, it's just some military mission, no save-the-world scenario, and therefore not that hard. And still its pretty much over-the-top, considering a soldiers everyday-life.

It of course has an overview, briefing and different endings. I left out an intro and outro to support the missions atmosphere and feeling of confusion and haste during war. It has full voice-overs, but the only person speaking is the players avatar. I left also out multiple characters and autosaves, because it was like this in OFP. It is called "Combat Recon" and it is meant to show off a possible happening that could be a realistic scenario It is not a mission that takes more than an hour to complete and the goal is not to kill as many enemies as possible, but to return home alive, as it is in real war. Theres plenty of enemy units placed, so if you want, you can go "hunting", but you should be able to avoid most of them. The mission has 3 main objectives and 1 optional (hidden) objective. Well there you go, since the mission is not too complex and I tested it a lot (i got 2 sides of buglists in my waste-basket that i already corrected) a beta shouldnt be necessary. if you find any major bug or game imbalance though, tell me. Furthermore, tell me what you think about it. After all, I always found theres a major lack of missions to download for ofp, and same it looks for arma now. 90% of the addons people released were useless waste of time. Sorry guys, but thats how it is :/ because there were never any missions for it. eg the CoC arty belonged to the other 10%, or BAS etc. you know what i mean. greetings, Sturmwolf

    Couple of Questions!

    did you try synchronizin waypoints "get in" and "load" ?it should usually be possible if you have a fixed landing spot.
  12. Sorry Placebo, i feel someone should have already asked this, and i searched the forum and the whole net intensively and didnt even find someone who asks the same question. There a few missions in the single missions menu that are locked. I already completed the campaign, but theyre still locked. How to unlock em?

    Hi guys, I'm playing ArmA for a few days and one thing i have noticed that really annoys me is the helo flying model. it was good and imho realistic (enough) in ofp. I dont know if what we have now is any realistic at all, since it is not possible to rotate sideways. you can only yaw left and right, and then pull up or down in order to fly in that direction, like in an airplane. this makes it impossible to aim! The feature of rotating sideways via x-axis with buttons x and c does only work for a metre or so, again, like in a WW2 airplane. im missing the opportunity to just hover and rotate, laying massive fire onto a base. but without being able to rotate, hovering is useless and autohover will be your death when trying to manouvre against the autopilot have i missed something important or is the flying model messed up? kind regards, sturm PS this is not a "complain" thread. i love arma, but im curious about that heloing. Though Im likely to being banned, I must say I liked the helo flying model of bf vietnam or bf2. with a TOUCH of realism added, it would serve fine for arma, and it DID for ofp. it was more difficult in ofp, but essentially the same.

    NV Goggles attached to berets? Have a look at that! This isnt possible in RL, is it? I think it doesnt matter really, but i wonder what bis thought when giving the speznaz berets... (theyre looking ultracool imho) Just wanted to break loose a rather *useless* topic myself in the heat of waiting for arma release in Ger! Forgive me placebo!
