Maybe it's just me but I prefer the BIS models to those shown above.. they're more detailed and lived in. However, I really like the idea of this!

'Operation Endless Summer' (lost on most I'm sure ) The shadow's on the tree trunks were pretty impressive also

Although if you look at the picture above, in the mid-ground behind the soldiers there appears to be what look like clumps of grass on the plains. I think it would make sense to only make them visable below certain view distances maybe? The pics where you can see them have all been fairly close-up.

The terrain looks amazing, better than any other current game out there - the rolling hills took my breath away. Imagine ripping that up in your T-80... yes you heard right! I wonder what it's gonna have to test the best helo addon (imo) out there: UK ARMY Lynx... of course Oh the full scale battles I forsee! *Is waxing lyrical now*

Yes, I read somewhere they started with improving the old engine and ended (ok, not yet) with a complete new engine for game 2. And ArmA is supposed to be something inbetween. I've read we will be able to use all the nice OFP-Addons with a little tweaking so it can't be so far away from Poseidon. And honestly, you've seen the screenshots from ArmA - this is not a complete new game, it's still good old OFP but with really nice improvements. Indeed it's a big present for the community because it looks like it has everything we ever wanted for OFP. It's the only game I'm buying this year! Can't wait.. looking forward to not getting stuck on the corner of houses

Looks like the bastard child of both the F-16 and F/A-18! I have a fondness for the Lightning too, my father used to take me upto Binbrook and we'd watch them. As a child I used to see them flying over my village (Avro Vulcan's too). More recently I've had the privilage to watch Typhoons flying to/from Warton from my office - they're an amazing machine to see in the air. I just wish they'd land one at the local airport so that I can get a closer look.. chances Rock? Yeah thought so
