  2. how do you spawn them on the bays? By the way the LAV is a different vehicle from the LAV, LAV is a wheeled amphibious assault vehicle while a AAV is a tracked amphibious assault vehicle
  3. outstanding work on the LHA! I've been having a blast with it, but I too have ran into the problem with the back of the ship and opening the gate, when i hit the option that says "raise door" the ship does nothing. Is this an error or do we have to do something to make it work? great job! Now all we need is a CH-46 Sea Knight Helicopters, CH-53 Super Stallions, and a LAV's to be created, and possibly an LSD ship and we got a fully functioning USMC mod for Arma!

    ArmA Addon request thread

    With all the USMC addons being created for OFP I notice one thing is missing...something CRITICAL for something when we are talking about Marines and that is a amphibious assault ship! Is anyone thinking about making one or would be willing to make one? I was thinking perhaps They could use the USS Nimitz addon (http://www.armedassault.info/index.php?cat=addons&id=421) as a starting point. The good news is that you would not need to worry about creating scripts for slowing down aircraft, the Amphibious assault ships only support vertical aircraft (such as the CH53, CH46, Osprey, Harriers, etc).     and what of just taking a standard soldier (Blufor) and changing out the textures for DPM styles Boss? Is that feasible rather than making a whole new model soldier from scratch?

    ah coolness... i was thinking perhaps for a temporary solution to reskin one of the American Rifleman guys with Woodland and Desert DPM camo yeah... seems like modeling soldiers is more of a pain in Arma than in OFP I notice new looks on soldiers is not being pumped out as fast as OFP did... seemed like everytime you would check the news sites on ofp there was a new model of soldiers lol I would personally want to see the radio sets done away with on American units as well... the type that is on their heads is the type used by tank crews   drives me nuts

    Very nice pack... love the UK style Harriers! Also nice to see the old UKF weapons back in Arma... there is 1 thing that I wish to request... and that is for the troop pack to have soldiers with helmets in addition to the recon "boonie" hats. I do believe (correct me if I'am wrong... not British...     the Robinson Arms sights appear to be screwed up... they look very wierd... see this picture http://s24.photobucket.com/albums....AIM.jpg also... the guns that have select fire (semi, burst, auto, etc) dont respond to the F key anymore, trying to shoot single shots is very hard when the full automatic fire is working with semi automatic fire

    I just checked out v0.8 and Eureka! I put the laser designator works with more than just the SF Recon guy! I used a sniper and rifleman as test subjects and they both worked using the code <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">this addmagazine "laserbatteries";this addweapon "laserdesignator" HOWEVER an issue arose... the "range" button works well... but on both the SF Recon, sniper, and rifleman when I chose the "mark" and "Q/R" options I got this message when I clicked on them http://s24.photobucket.com/albums....lem.jpg  got any ideas what that is about NonWonderDog? It's no biggie I guess... as long as the "range" button works I'am a happy camper Â

    v0.51 has fixed the error message and I'am now able to use the sight adjustment with no problem now the only thing that is not solved is other units being able to use the laser rangefinder! good job

    I have not tried the click adjustment thing online with the this new version... but it has worked before. It's not that much of a big deal cause I can still see the moa adjustment, just it goes by really quick this is how the inside of the laser desginator looks when I put it in the hands of a sniper in the latest version... http://s24.photobucket.com/albums....ser.jpg when I hit "range" on a spot it doesn't do anything... the numbers just say what it shows on the picture. Also when I use "range" the top left portion of the screen goes from red to white, and then back to red again. If I hit the "mark" and "Q/R" button it just turns the laser designator on and off no problems when I put it in the hands of the SF Recon guy though  that works clean as a whistle

    the new version is creating some small minor problems for me... for one.. it cuts off the reading on the GMJ sight adjustments... if I use the clicks to adjust my rifle sights it cuts off the reading...so I only catch a glimpse of how much I have moved my rifle sights up. Luckily for myself I can read what it is. You can also remedy this problem by dropping the laser rangefinder for a second to confirm your rifle sight adjustment. Also... when you first try to turn on the laser designator you sometimes get this message http://s24.photobucket.com/albums....er2.jpg this usually happens only the first time you try to turn on the laser designator... when you try a second time it usually goes away. in the last version I was able to give a sniper a laser rangefinder using the code... <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">this addmagazine "laserbatteries";this addweapon "laserdesignator" but it seems that on this latest version it does not work it only works for the SF Recon guy I hope we can get this thing solved so we can have it on any unit we please

    this is very strange... I have everything where they should be in as far as the .pbo's and the shortcuts... but the display is still not showing up when I go to the laser designator with the special forces soldier.... here is what my Arma directory looks like http://s24.photobucket.com/albums....uts.jpg and here is what my addons folder looks like http://s24.photobucket.com/albums....der.jpg everytime I set a SF Recon guy in the editor with the Rahmadi map I go to the laser designator and it looks like this... http://s24.photobucket.com/albums....der.jpg no option appears for using the rangefinder

That got the mod folder working... but I'am still not seeing the rangefinder when I i put a "sf recon" guy on a map editor (i'am using Rahmadi as the test map) When I go to the laser designator view it looks like this... http://s24.photobucket.com/albums....der.jpg please confirm i have everything in the right place... -NWD_Rangefinder.pbo in the @NWD_Rangefinder folder which is located in the Arma folder -Extended_Init_EventHandlers.pbo is in the Arma\AddOns folder -NWD_ScopeFix.pbo is in the Arma\AddOns folder

    I tried putting in the shortcut with the following target line <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">"D:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA" -mod=@NWD_ScopeFix;@NWD_RangeFinder and instead of creating a shortcut to the game for launch... it created a shortcut to the Armed Assault folder in my drive  I have had a lot of problems with shortcuts in the past with OFP... any chance of this being released as a stand alone addon? I hate dealing with shortcuts... never seem to work on my computer. Also... if you need help or want to check out a laser range finder where you just click a button and the laser range finder gets the range for you so you can get some ideas... you can find it on the snipers from XAM mod. In that addon all you need to do is "turn on" the laser rangefinder and hit a button to reveal the range to target. It's a really nice addon... however again it runs on shortcuts   but thankfully myself... i was able to extract the addons needed to run the sniper portion and I play around with those.

    M25 Sniper Rifle

    I have done an extensive range report on this gun and have found these trajectory's to be VERY accurate... use them as a reference guide when shooting the gun here is the ranges and where they place on the scope... also... if you are using gmJamez's click adjustment addon use these for the longer ranges up to 1,000 m (to get them so you just need to aim dead center to hit the desired range). All clicks are up (+) 7 Â clicks to 300 m 14 clicks to 400 m 20 Clicks To 500 m 27 clicks to 600 m 35 clicks to 700 m 44 clicks to 800 m 54 clicks to 900 m 63 clicks to 1,000 m Hope this gets everyone 1 shot 1 kills Â

    hmmmm what was the problem you were having with the reticle stock762? Were you trying to use the old reticle from Dan's m25? The BIS M24's mil dot reticle will also do for this addon.     what's the weapon and ammo class names for this gun? I just tried the old weapons class name DanM25 in the editor and it was incorrect. It is just using default M4 ammo currently correct? Also... where is the mil dot reticle??? It's using the ACOG reticles at the moment.
