I love the rockets comming from the choppers above, verry nice looking...I just hope the Mod community can keep up with BIS!

A) They wanted needed someway to promote teamplay in BF2 because the gameplay didnt support it, so they chose the squad leader funtion as compensation... B) OFP nor Armed Assault needs this to promote teamwork. Its simple dont use teamwork, lose and die... The gameplay needs teamwork...So the reward of teamwork? Again to win and not die... I hope my sleepless self explained it in an understandable manner for ya...

Wow nice vid BIS! BIS is the first and only game developer that actualy listens to their players and community...at least in my experiance playing games...

Thats the kind of realism BIS will leave out for us to implement...But then again maybe not!

That's correct because first of all Soldner is not a wargame: all the game types seem to focus on arena deathmatch with respawn, buying of vehicles and weapons from magical "terminals", counting points, capturing flags... all that crap and then some. Second, you gotta be joking to call Soldner realistic. Let's see: -No ballistics on small arms whatsoever, check -One-man tanks, check -No difference between getting hit in the head, torso, legs or hands, check -Vehicles that immidiately catch on fire and explode 3 seconds later when coming into contact with water, check (almost the same on OFP btw) -No server has 3rd person or crosshairs disabled as far as I know, check -Invisibility-kit, check -Jets that make near-instant 180 degree-turns without losing speed, check (not that ofp planes fly that nicely but at least it's not utter sci-fi) -Thermal vision that sees through buildings, check Ok, that's enough to get the general idea. OFP isn't and ArmA won't be exactly hard-core realistic either but at least they're a huge leap to the right direction from Soldner, Battlefield and such and there will be mods that focus on realism. And there will be faster arcadey game types too so I'm sure you'll like it whether you're into that or the more realistic missions. I couldn't of said it better!

Heh that would be good feature, If your not using the Hud it disapears till you click a button, say you click F5 to select "5" the Hud for that funtion would fade in, then easily fade out when not in use. Oh well its too late for any requests lol

from what Ive played of Sodlner, Armed Assault way more realistic than Soldner, But I dont think it would be a problem as it just requires you to think and use teamwork even more.

Yeah if they made scripting in any other language it would totaly mess everything up you would think. But I doupt it will hence everything was in english right from the start (except the subtitles for the German Version)
