  1. Thanks Sanctuary. Also, I found out how to make the trigger activate when the enemy vehicles can't move/shoot.   2. Hi again, it's your local clueless guy... I'm making a mission with the BAS blackhawks (in this case, you are using the Direct Action Penentrator gunship) and you are going off to destroy a supplies convoy that's backed up by light and medium armour. When you have taken out the convoy, I want to trip a trigger when heading back to base, where I have to then go and assist a tank column that is under fire. (So basically, I want there to be a large trigger that you will hit no matter what route you take the base back (which I have done) to actually work when you've taken out the convoy. At the moment, it's just activating when I fly over it. So, is it possible to make a trigger either become active, or created in mid game? Edit: I have a 2nd question. How would I have it so that I just have to take out the vehicles, and not whatever troops escape the vehicles? Cause if I put a large trigger covering the area set to carry it's action out when all the east aren't present... I have to take the time and effort to waste all the troops.
  3. YES!!! I did it! I took a few pages from tracy_t's book, but with a few exceptions. I renamed the triggers to OCTF (Other Chopper Take Off) and instead of having the trigger for the first chopper be "OtherChopperTakeOff = True" I had it simply as "OCTF" Now, the big problem was that the 2nd littlebird would take off to 25 ft (I had it at flyinheight 25 by default) and wait until I was onboard the 1st bird. So I set it's default flyinheight as 0, and then had it change to 25 for the first waypoint. It works a treat, and it never goes wrong. *happy*
  4. Right, after installing the beautiful BAS addons, (in this case, the delta/rangers and MH6's) I decided to get to work with some test missions. Anyway, so... Two MH6 Little Bird's are sitting on the runway to the south-west of Nogova and two 4 man squads of Delta's are heading towards the helos. I have set up the helos that are assigned to each delta squad to NOT TAKE OFF until all 4 men are aboard. Now, is there a way so that Helo 2 will not take off (even if it is fully laden with the squad) until the entire squad for helo 2 is aboard? While I have set up the distances so that if you run for helo 1 and jump in, then wait for your squad to get in with you, (You're not the leader, by the way) I cannot trust that everyone who will play this mission will have the right idea. And so, if they linger or whatever, Helo 2 will take off before Helo 1, and the mission will be botched. (It's a surprise assault.) If I am not making sense, it's because I have quickly typed this up before retiring for bed. (And yes, I did search for way to solve this, but I couldn't find it. Which... is why I'm posting this.)

    Me testing the SU27 (by footmunch against DeadSoldier and Marine's F-15e) As you can see, I ran out of ammo, and decided to do things a little more...erm.. yeah. Oh, and in the readme for the F-15e, it says, "Copy the two .pbo file to OFPs "ADDONS" directory." but there is only one. I think the one I can't see has things like sound for the cockpit? Because I can't hear any engine noises when in the cockpit.

    The AI has it's limitations. From what I have seen, it doesn't like being put in too high an altitude, and also it needs to be able to get a clear shot, which is why it descended.

  8. I had already tried that, but to no avail, sadly. I also tried to synch the "GET IN" waypoints with the two teams, but that caused both teams to sit around and watch their rides take off without them. (Such professional chaps...) Anyway... surely there's a way to script it, right? Like... say I name the group I am in "Kilo1" and have it so that when all 4 members of "Kilo1" have moved in cargo with Star91, (My Little Bird) Star95 takes off? I have absolutely zero knowledge with this stuff, so feel free to point and laugh.

  10. 'Ello, Looks like I finally got my hands on the full version of OFP. And it came with Red Hammer and Resistance, too. Man, the patches really make the game so much better. Anyway... a few questions and stuff from me. 1) Can you all tell me what's the best addon units to download? I currently use all the BAS stuff, These really cool Russian naval marines/spetz, and that's about it. My main criteria is aircraft. Love 'em. (I loved that F/A-18c addon... but the way the engine sounded really put me off. It was basically the sound of an aircraft doing a flyby constantly... wish I could edit it out. ) Also, replacement units and tanks would be welcome. 2) How can I go about editing missions already made by BIS/Codemasters? I want to replace some of the stuff with units that BAS have made. 3) I seem to be having a few performance problems. My PC is an AMD XP2000+ processor, with 256mb DDR ram and a 128mb geforce4 ti4600 graphics card. I'm pretty sure that the ram is the problem... but I just thought I'd confirm it. (I'll probably buy an extra 512mb of ram tomorrow.) Anyway, that's me. Please don't lock this topic... I just want some quick answers, heh...

    Why thank you. I use Adobe Photoshop 7. The pen and path tools give the best result by far. I'll put together a little tutorial tomorrow.

    Wow, Parvus... that's what I call alot of Russian armour. ...Nothing a few BAS blackhawks can't sort out. Anyway, where do you get that sky mod? I've seen it SO many times...
  16. I myself like to use the M203 launcher on the underside of the M16a2. But I also like to use stuff like the HK MP5 SD6... I think an M203 tactical launcher would be a really cool idea, where you don't need to use the M16 to have it. Of course, you wouldn't be able to *instantly* change to it, as it's not part of the gun you are carrying. Here's a picture of one. If there is already one... then my sincere apologise for wasting your time.

    I'm not a happy person right now. I *was* the proud owner of Operation Flashpoint, and one day, my CD became corrupt! YAY! Isn't that wonderful? In my wisdom, I had already made a copy of the disc on the *very unlikely* situation that the CD may become damaged. So I reinstall... and to my dismay, the game asks for the official disc when I want to patch. "Fine" I thought. "I'll just buy a new one" I thought. Sadly... this could not be. I phoned two of the best game distributors in the UK (Gameplay and Game) and they said the game was discontinued. Ahh crap. So basically, I'm stuck with a broken copy of OPF, a copy I made previously that won't patch, so that means I'm stuck with version 1.0 of the game. No AH-64s or SU25s for me. So, has anyone got a solution for me? Or perhaps will they bring the game back out on the Budget range?

    Ofp moments in gameplay

    I have a couple of OFP moments myself. I recently started working on a mission that involved two UH60's flying side by side at 23 feet, they land outside a russian base and drop off the troops. At the same time, a T72 roars out of the base and is like... 30 metres away from my face. The turret raised, and it fired. I heard an explosion behind me, and the Blackhawk I was just in had been hit. All I could think was, "holy..." when the T72 then aimed at us. Luckily, chalk 2 fired a Carl Gustav directly at it, and blew the git right into the stratosphere. Another moment, was in a mission my friend made and let me try out. A convoy with two M1A1s, an M60 and a repair truck is driving down a road. The drive was really quite... boring, so I had "turned out" to get a better view. Suddenly, a rocket comes from the left and strikes the M60, destroying it. There was a bunch of AT soldiers not far off from the road. Not only did the AI panic, but *I* did too!

  24. Hi. I've looked around using the search function, and couldn't find this... but if there is a topic, then I'm sorry. Anyway... I want to know how to do two things. The first, would be how do I have a pilot and gunner run from a location and jump into a vehicle? (In this case, an AH-1 Cobra) As if it were a "scramble" situation... My second question is, how do I have a helicopter sit on the ground until it is called up on radio trigger? I usually have to set two waypoints, so the helicopter just takes off and waits in mid air, which I don't like. Any help is welcome.

(Me being the officer in charge of the rangers, 'course.) PPS: Noticed that the "XM177e2" looks more like a colt M733 Commando... heh. (Been playing with officer loadouts. Fun fun.)
