Yes, very important- particularily for the Vietnam scenarios. Monsoon weather could reduce the visibility so no air operations will be possible forcing us to use PBR or APCs for insertion/extraction/resupply, etc.
-
I guess we would have to have a refuel/defuel option when next to a fuel truck-maybe every time we push enter it would give or take something like 10 percent of our fuel. It could also be an interesting way to airlift fuel to a forward position unless fuel trucks have an inexhaustable supply of fuel like they did in OFP.

WKK Gimbal, that is an excellent suggestion! I really hope they include that in the game. It would be a HUGE improvement in creating battle scenerios.

If they will only listen to one of my suggestions, this is the one I would pick: The more people, gear, and fuel you put in a helicopter, the poorer the performance should be. There are benefits to this: 1. It will make us depend on the supply chain a lot more because a completely full tank of fuel in a helicopter in OFP lasts longer than most battles. 2. If your opponent puts a whole platoon into a helicopter, they can no longer blast away really fast. You can get in a few shots as they are nursing the machine off the ground and accelerating.

Tanks... cars..... get........
SlickPilot replied to Spetsnaz -PELOPES-'s topic in ARMA 2 & OA - SUGGESTIONS
I would say that this is a must. It would be easy too because for example: Tracked vehicles(ie. Bradley, M1, etc.) = mobility 3 4x4 and 6x6 wheeled vehicles(ie. LAV-25, HUMVEE) = mobility 2 two wheel drive vehicles(ie. civilian car, bus) = mobility 1 And then the terrain can have different requirements: Swamp Areas and deep snow need mobility 3 Off road areas need mobility 2 or higher Roads only need a mobility of 1 or higher At the same time, it would be neat to be able to tow a vehicle with another one to get it through a soft area. For example, you may need an M1A1 to pull a repair truck through the mud to make repairs to a disabled APC in a swamp. -
And without electricity(generator), the runway lights wouldn't work limiting night operations.
-
I agree that the electricity and communication implementation is a clever idea but would prefer to have the emphasis stay away from the manufacturing, oil exploration, etc. It would be neat to gain the alliance of a village by ensuring they have electricity for example. OFP is awesome but lacked a "civilian" element as the whole map was just a deserted battlefield.

As long as you are able to turn that (phoney) radar off, I'd be very happy.
-
I like to fly helicopters in OFP but I hate the fact that the top 30 percent of the screen is cluttered with the targeting system that I can't turn off. First, it really kills the visibility and secondly, it is a cheat because you should not automatically know about buildings and vehicles just because you are close to them. No matter how good of a job someone does concealing items- just jump into a tank or chopper and you can automatically find anything.
