    FFUR 2007

I would like a copy of the Mr. Burns updated islands. I've scoured the web but it doesn't look like there is any active downloads.
  2. I've been tackling this problem for some time now, and I *really* don't want the fix to be format/reinstall, but I'm at my wits end. Basically the issue is such: Everything was running fantastic until one day some system change has caused the mouse to move "Very" slowly. As if it was lagged behind the movements. For instance, I can move the mouse around very quickly and the mouse will move through the pattern, only very slowly, until it is caught up. This issue only occurs in 2 games: Operation Flashpoint and Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter. I haven't found a correlation between the two other than they are both DX. I have updated my DX, reapplied SP2, cleaned up my startup with HJT and spybot, updated all drivers, and tried a different mouse. I think it may have something to do with mouse drivers, but then wouldn't my other dx games be affected? Specs follow: G15 keyboard g5 mouse ATI x850xt soundblaster X-FI Viewsonic VX922 19' monitor 2gb RAM Intel 3ghz HT processor XP Pro Thanks for any suggestions in advance
  3. Ok I got it fixed. For future folks who run into the issue, this is what caused it: Rootkits. I had a malicious rootkit on my system which was hiding 2 randomly named executable files. Using a disc-based operating environment I was able to kill those two files and remove the rootkit but it left me with a windows installation I could not log on to. A repair would have fixed the issue but I opted for a fresh installation of windows. Everything is now working as they should and I'm enjoying the ECP enhanced Single-player campaign once again!
  4. yes it's a USB mouse. I'll try plugging in the PS2 adapter when I get home and see what's what. Some digging I've done has led me to believe the issue may even be my sound card. I'll try pulling that out and see if it resolves the issue.

    mouse lag

LOL it's not my PC I'm fairly certain 3ghz P4, 2gb corsair, x850xt, X-fi sound card. Another update however. While checking out Avon's page (number one for Opflash-related problems I have found that it may be related to my saitek "magic mouse" which is the pointer device attached to my throttle. I have tried removing my saitek software, reinstalling my mouse and changing my resolution (all fixes suggested). Still no fix. I thought maybe fastwrites may have something to do with it as well. Nope no fix. I'm running the latest Cats, and again, no issues in any other game.

    mouse lag

Hey folks. I've been having some trouble lately running Flashpoint. I had a pretty serious spyware infection which I was finally able to get under control, however since then Flashpoint has been exhibiting some strange behaviour. When moving the mouse in game it seems like the mouse is about 1/4 second behind my motions. It was worse with an older ATI driver but I updated to Cat6.6 and the issue got slightly better, but still not perfect. The framerate also seems to be lower in game. No other games exhibited any change in performance. I tested both the base flashpointbeta.exe and the WGL mod. Anyone else seen this or have a fix for this issue?

    mouse lag

*update* After searching it seems like Logitech may be at fault, however I removed my mouse software and allowed my mouse to redetect and the mouse lag got even worse. I'm totally at a loss as to the cause
  8. I'm having a LAN party in the very near future and while I have been able to download various co-op maps for Opflash, it's very difficult to find Zombie mod maps. If anyone has a completed co-op Zombie map they wouldn't mind sharing plz Email it to me at [email protected]. I know many of you probably mucked about with this mod as much as I have
  9. Thanks Nem. I'll check it out! Also: Fallout RPG tailored to zombies is a brilliant idea.
  10. Karillion I am very familiar with your maps they have been a favourite at our co-op engagements for quite some time Thanks for making such awsome missions! As for Nogova virus, I had no idea there was multiple chapters and I look forward to trying them all out! While we're at it is there anything else that would translate well to a ~12 person LAN party? How is the RTS map coming?
  11. I just have some questions that weren't answered in the readme. I'm having an issue with the zombie corpses disappearing right away after they die and they always seem to kill me in one hit. I've added the gblZombieDelPause=50 and gblZombieDamage=0.25 to the GameLogic object but it doesn't seem to have any effect. Any ideas on how to get this working will be greatly appreciated as I intend to throw a Zombie mod LAN party on Halloween Also: The zombies still seem to kill me when I'm in a vehicle. Is there any way to stop that from happening?

    Track ir and op flash

Hey guys, I haven't posted here in a while but I'm just getting back into Opflash again. The ECP config is incredible and the BAS Tonal Islands have renewed my love for Opflash yet again. Anyways, I'm a big flight sim fanatic and I purchased TrackIR for Il2:Forgotten Battles. I heard somewhere that OpFlash also supports the track IR (although potentially limited). Just wondering if anyone has had any info on setting such a thing up and maybe some stories about how well (or not well) it works in Flashpoint.

    Track ir and op flash

gah. I searched *twice* for a track IR thread and nothing came up, although I seemed to remember it from a ways back. Anyhoo, thanks Placebo.
  14. I'm upgrading to a P4 3.0c in 2 weeks, and I'm just wondering if any other opflash community members has tried it with such a powerful PC. I'm wondering what kind of perfomance I should be able to expect. Here's my specs: P4 3.0ghz 800mhz FSB 512mb DDR Creative Audigy Radeon 9700pro Incidentally, it's running quite nicely right now with my Radeon and 1.3ghz duron, but, well, Halflife 2 is coming out soon so the most intelligent thing to do was to drop $1300 on a new PC

    Opflash on a top-o-the-line pc

He he he, sole, poor guy. Opflash is like a whole new game once you are able to play it buttery smooth with 6 abrams rolling by you as the apaches fly overhead...

    Opflash on a top-o-the-line pc

Sorry Placebo I'll keep your suggestion in mind Not bad at all. Yeah, the 9700pro is a dx9 card. Splintercell looks gorgeous with it... I can't wait to crank up the details in flashpoint. I'm currently getting about 3300 in the OFP CPU Benchmark.
  17. I've been a fan of Opflash for a long time, and it has been on my PC longer than any game to date. However, despite my passion, there are a few things that I would love to see incorporated into Opflash2. Sounds: The effects in Opflash were great, especially the way doppler and long distance sound effects worked. My main problem is with the vehicle engine noises. On the most part they are so powerful and loud that they drown out all other sounds. If these could get toned down a bit (and increase the quality of the sounds a tad, the jeep sounds like a backhoe...) It would do wonders for the "feel" of driving a vehicle. My other issue with sound is with the in game commands. Rather than have the commands issued over the radio, I'd much rather have the commanding officer issue the commands by yelling, much like they did (and still do). Here's an example: Your squad comes under fire! It's an amush. Your CO yells to his troops "Get under Cover! Find some cover!" while frantically motioning for everyone to get down. Obviously this is one instance, but this will add to the intensity of every firefight. I'd also like a few more pain screams and variations of. ANIMATION: As was pointed out earlier in this forum, this is where Opflash lacks the most at the moment. During firefights I want to see other troops running and diving for cover, motioning to their buddies to back them up, and resting and speaking freely during safe times. Some animations I think should be incorporated are: Gear checks, CO animations (get down, move out, engage, etc), fear animations (throw down gun and run away screaming maybe?), as well as the odd cigarette smoking. The movement animation has to be redone (PLEASE!) as the way the infantry turn (while standing or prone) looks very unappealing, as well as their general wide-legged-gun-ready stance. Ugh. A few features like these would add huge amounts of immersion to what is already the best military sim on the market. Opinions? Stylez

    Ati radeon ofp startup problems

That's the exact error I got. In order for me to fix it I had to go all the way back to the cat 2.5s. Opflash runs beautifully with them, no artifacting or flashing textures. If I try runing any of the 3.x series of Cats, I get that virtual mem error. Weird eh?
  19. I'm an avid directplay user, specifically for the integrated voice which I think is way under-appreciated (great job BIS!). Unfortunately, I had my partition deleted by OFP as well, and I just figured it to be a random act of computer craziness. Unfortunately it was tied to my reliance on DirectPlay for all our LAN games at my house. My question is this. Do you figure this will get fixed so I can get on with my OFP with my Roommates? Here's one hoping for a quick solution! Stylez
  20. Stylez

So ofp can delete your partition.

Yeah that's what we used to do before we found out about directplay. The ability to set groups and such is important to us though, as we usually have around 10 or so people on my LAN at a given time (I'm a landlord in a house full of gamers . DirectSpeak was pretty neat too, and I used that often when I was doing 2 man team assaults and such. Roger Wilco will probably get more use now though, since OFP is pretty much the only game I play seriously.

    Ofp deleting everything on harddisk!

I have to admit, I had it happen to me as well, but it was on a drive which just had games installed, so it wasn't too terrible. I wasn't sure if I should post it on this forum or not, since it seemed like too huge an issue to be caused by OFP.

    Latest ati drivers

Well, I'm back to the 2.5 Cats again. Again everything runs beautifully (no artifacting or flashing in Opflash). I recommend them if you are having problems.

    Cannot create 3d devise

I turned all the textures to 256, still no luck... I'm thinking this problem is going to require some outside-the-box thinking....

    Cannot create 3d devise

The error comes from OFP, I've tried autodetecting, Turning of the H/W accel in Ofp, checking DXDIAG (everything runs fine). Not quite sure what's going on...
