I would like a copy of the Mr. Burns updated islands. I've scoured the web but it doesn't look like there is any active downloads.

Performance issues/mouse lag on high end machine.
Stylez replied to Stylez's topic in TROUBLESHOOTING
Ok I got it fixed. For future folks who run into the issue, this is what caused it: Rootkits. I had a malicious rootkit on my system which was hiding 2 randomly named executable files. Using a disc-based operating environment I was able to kill those two files and remove the rootkit but it left me with a windows installation I could not log on to. A repair would have fixed the issue but I opted for a fresh installation of windows. Everything is now working as they should and I'm enjoying the ECP enhanced Single-player campaign once again! -
Performance issues/mouse lag on high end machine.

yes it's a USB mouse. I'll try plugging in the PS2 adapter when I get home and see what's what. Some digging I've done has led me to believe the issue may even be my sound card. I'll try pulling that out and see if it resolves the issue. -
I've been tackling this problem for some time now, and I *really* don't want the fix to be format/reinstall, but I'm at my wits end. Basically the issue is such: Everything was running fantastic until one day some system change has caused the mouse to move "Very" slowly. As if it was lagged behind the movements. For instance, I can move the mouse around very quickly and the mouse will move through the pattern, only very slowly, until it is caught up. This issue only occurs in 2 games: Operation Flashpoint and Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter. I haven't found a correlation between the two other than they are both DX. I have updated my DX, reapplied SP2, cleaned up my startup with HJT and spybot, updated all drivers, and tried a different mouse. I think it may have something to do with mouse drivers, but then wouldn't my other dx games be affected? Specs follow: G15 keyboard g5 mouse ATI x850xt soundblaster X-FI Viewsonic VX922 19' monitor 2gb RAM Intel 3ghz HT processor XP Pro Thanks for any suggestions in advance

LOL it's not my PC I'm fairly certain 3ghz P4, 2gb corsair, x850xt, X-fi sound card. Another update however. While checking out Avon's page (number one for Opflash-related problems I have found that it may be related to my saitek "magic mouse" which is the pointer device attached to my throttle. I have tried removing my saitek software, reinstalling my mouse and changing my resolution (all fixes suggested). Still no fix. I thought maybe fastwrites may have something to do with it as well. Nope no fix. I'm running the latest Cats, and again, no issues in any other game.

*update* After searching it seems like Logitech may be at fault, however I removed my mouse software and allowed my mouse to redetect and the mouse lag got even worse. I'm totally at a loss as to the cause

Hey folks. I've been having some trouble lately running Flashpoint. I had a pretty serious spyware infection which I was finally able to get under control, however since then Flashpoint has been exhibiting some strange behaviour. When moving the mouse in game it seems like the mouse is about 1/4 second behind my motions. It was worse with an older ATI driver but I updated to Cat6.6 and the issue got slightly better, but still not perfect. The framerate also seems to be lower in game. No other games exhibited any change in performance. I tested both the base flashpointbeta.exe and the WGL mod. Anyone else seen this or have a fix for this issue?

Karillion I am very familiar with your maps they have been a favourite at our co-op engagements for quite some time Thanks for making such awsome missions! As for Nogova virus, I had no idea there was multiple chapters and I look forward to trying them all out! While we're at it is there anything else that would translate well to a ~12 person LAN party? How is the RTS map coming? -
Looking for zombie maps for co-op LAN party
Stylez posted a topic in OFP : MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
I'm having a LAN party in the very near future and while I have been able to download various co-op maps for Opflash, it's very difficult to find Zombie mod maps. If anyone has a completed co-op Zombie map they wouldn't mind sharing plz Email it to me at [email protected]. I know many of you probably mucked about with this mod as much as I have -
Questions on unified zombie mod
Stylez replied to Zombie_Mod's topic in OFP : MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
I just have some questions that weren't answered in the readme. I'm having an issue with the zombie corpses disappearing right away after they die and they always seem to kill me in one hit. I've added the gblZombieDelPause=50 and gblZombieDamage=0.25 to the GameLogic object but it doesn't seem to have any effect. Any ideas on how to get this working will be greatly appreciated as I intend to throw a Zombie mod LAN party on Halloween Also: The zombies still seem to kill me when I'm in a vehicle. Is there any way to stop that from happening? -
gah. I searched *twice* for a track IR thread and nothing came up, although I seemed to remember it from a ways back. Anyhoo, thanks Placebo.

Hey guys, I haven't posted here in a while but I'm just getting back into Opflash again. The ECP config is incredible and the BAS Tonal Islands have renewed my love for Opflash yet again. Anyways, I'm a big flight sim fanatic and I purchased TrackIR for Il2:Forgotten Battles. I heard somewhere that OpFlash also supports the track IR (although potentially limited). Just wondering if anyone has had any info on setting such a thing up and maybe some stories about how well (or not well) it works in Flashpoint.

He he he, sole, poor guy. Opflash is like a whole new game once you are able to play it buttery smooth with 6 abrams rolling by you as the apaches fly overhead...

Sorry Placebo I'll keep your suggestion in mind Not bad at all. Yeah, the 9700pro is a dx9 card. Splintercell looks gorgeous with it... I can't wait to crank up the details in flashpoint. I'm currently getting about 3300 in the OFP CPU Benchmark.
