Denoir, I just realized you had a body count on your sig. Â Didn't all you guys predict along with all the other spineless people that there would be 100's of thousands of "innocents" killed. And what about as soon as the bodybags started comming home the US population would crumble. Â Didn't happen did it? You guys are still hung up on all the screw ups and not one of you have given credit to anything good comming out of this. Â Of course I'm sure you see nothing good out of freeing people or ridding the world of a man like Hussein. Sorry to have disappointed you. As far as your priceless museum pieces, remember who actually destroyed these pieces, the Iraqi dumb asses. Â If they don't know the value of their own museums, don't blame the US soldiers. It's ok that each and everyone of you would not be here enjoying the freedoms you have if not for a soldier giving his life. Â But now that your safe in your homes you would deny the Iraqi people that same freedom. Â That's hipocracy at it's worst. Â Thank God we have others that have the balls you guys either lost or never had.

You guys arguing the percentage of minorities in the military are forgetting one little fact. The US has an all volunteer army. So who gives a rats ass what percentage of blacks or whites or whatever are in the military. One thing the US military does do, is give minorities an opportunity they might not otherwise get to make there way in this world. Once again the Euro's will pick any and all points of view that in anyway will somehow put the US in a bad light.

Very soon, like it or not, Saddam will have chosen war as the last option. We will soon have the advantage of discussing this issue with the advantage of hindsight. One side will have bragging rights to say "I told you so." I hope its the anti-war crowd. I hope they find absolutely nothing hidden away in the bowels of Saddams cities and countrysides. I hope the US and it's allies are proven wrong. I hope you guys are right and I and all the other "warmongers" are wrong. God I hope you are right. I will be the first to admit defeat. I will be the first in line to ask, "what can I do to make it right." I will eat crow, and humble myself before all of you if I am proven wrong. God I hope all the little doves are right and I am wrong, because if I am right and WMD's are allowed to get into the hands of terrorist willing to use them, then we all loose, not just the US, but we all loose. I'll take the chance of being humiliated before this crowd before I take the chance of letting this fiasco of UN inspectors and a spinless UN, willing to do nothing, continue any longer.

</span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">Hmm, yes why don't we just start a nuclear first strike (pre-emptive of course) and level the US to the ground. With the current preoccupation of the military and the fact that NORAD is basically no more, you'll never know what hit you. Yes, that must be the way to do it. Good luck digging up your parents and children from the rubble. Don't have the guts? Ha! We bombed Afganistan and Kosovo with you. We started two world wars. We have been killing each other millenia before you existed. We have murdered millions in cold blood for a variety of "just" causes. It's not a question of what atrocities we are capable of, it's a question of how sensible we are not wanting to commit them again. <span id='postcolor'> You all missed my point completly. Do you really think the US would attack Iraq if the countries opposing war moved in ahead of us? That's my point, that you all will sit on your ass and bitch and moan, but you won't do a damn thing about it. Oh, and as far as our economy, bring it on. I can do without European crap a lot better than you can do with American crap. Why not start with your windows operating system.
-
Instead of a boycott of America why not take my advice to stop the war on Iraq. Yes you heard me right, I have a plan to stop the invasion of Iraq. If all of the countries against war with Iraq, along with the UN will follow my advice, you can have the peace you so desparately desire. This is so simple, with all the hundreds of pages of discussion on this forum I can't believe in your infinite wisdom you all haven't though of it. Here it is. Get off your spineless peaceloving asses and STOP the US and it's allies from invading Iraq. Have YOUR military occupy Baghdad. Send YOUR troops to defend Iraq from the US. Get your precious UN, or better yet France, to lead the way and stop the US from it's plan of attack. Instead of waving your banners of hatred toward Bush and America at your useless peace rallies, gather your troops and actually do something without the US for once in your life. Of course there may be innocent lives lost. But you will be ridding the world once and for all from the big bad United States of America. So instead of boycotting American products, call your local and national leaders today. Call your friends, family and neighbors and make this happen. Call France, Germany, Russia. Do something for the sake of humanity. One problem, your countries don't have the balls to do it. The UN doesn't have the balls to do it.
-
Just because Rush Limbaugh has a link to information regarding something that supports the argument for war with Iraq, you all think its invalid? Get real. Also, don't let the peace rallies fool you on just how much support for taking out Saddam there actually is. Why don't you peaceniks just admit that there is no amount of evidence that will change your minds. Â At least be honest with yourselves.

FS, don't apologize for your source to these guys. It is as valid as anything they can muster up. Granted, they will still disregard the truth yet again. What's new?

I don't consider FSpilot and one or two others many many people. There is an overwhelming bias against the US and the war against Iraq on this forum. I accept that and I don't care to argue that point. All I am doing is adding as I said, a little diversity. sorry if you don't see it that way. Try this one on for size. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/2786475.stm

That's what I love about this forum, no matter what link you give to support your side, it is considered as trash. Yes, I have read this thread. Talk about propoganda. I stand by my statement.

I thought I would add a little diversity to this lopsided forum. I realize you all would never care about what Saddams own people think about him so read the below link. No it's not a right-wing publication. http://www.caabu.org/campaigns/iraqi-exiles-letter.html

A little game for our European friends that don't understand English. 1) The bandage was wound around the wound. 2) The farm was used to produce produce. 3) The dump was so full that it had to refuse more refuse. 4) We must polish the Polish furniture. 5) He could lead if he would get the lead out. 6) The soldier decided to desert his dessert in the desert. 7) Since there is no time like the present, he thought it was time to present the present. 8) A bass was painted on the head of the bass drum. 9) When shot at, the dove dove into the bushes. 10) I did not object to the object. 11) The insurance was invalid for the invalid. 12) There was a row among the oarsmen about how to row. 13) They were too close to the door to close it. 14) The buck does funny things when the does are present. 15) A seamstress and a sewer fell down into a sewer line. 16) To help with planting, the farmer taught his sow to sow. 17) The wind was too strong to wind the sail. 18) After a number of injections my jaw got number. 19) Upon seeing the tear in the painting I shed a tear. 20) I had to subject the subject to a series of tests. 21) How can I intimate this to my most intimate friend? I never thought you guys would stoop so low as to making fun of a person because they pronounce words different that you. If you were ever lucky enought to visit Texas (my birthplace) you would find the people there a lot more tolerant, friendly and unbiased towards YOUR pronounciation of the english language. Oh boy, another chance for everyone on this forum to spew out their hatred for George W. Bush. Simply pathetic. Your blindness to just what a great world leader we have with President George W. Bush is as great as your bias and hatred towards the United States of America. Simply pathetic.

Binyamin Ben-Eliezer will probably be the next PM if he isn't killed by a settler the way Israel's last Labour PM was. Actually I would most like to see Haifa's mayor, Amram Mitzna, become Labour's new leader. However, he would probably have a tougher time defeating Netanyahu. EDIT: Just found this... Quote Amram Mitzna had his first confrontation with Ariel Sharon exactly 20 years ago. Seething over the massacre that Lebanese Phalangist militias had just committed against Palestinians in the Sabra and Shatila refugee camps under Israel’s watch, Mitzna, a former field commander, wrote a damning letter to the Army chief of staff about the man who served as their boss. HE had “LOST CONFIDENCE†in Defense Minister Ariel Sharon, Mitzna announced. Mitzna was pressured to withdraw the letter by the then prime minister, Menachem Begin—but the controversy helped lead to a commission of inquiry that forced Sharon to quit. Will Amram Mitzna be Israel's next Prime Minister? Quote Labor Party leader and Defense Minister Benjamin Ben Eliezer, whose alliance with Sharon in the governing coalition has brought Labor to its lowest standing in the polls in decades, trails Mitzna by 30 percent in recent surveys. Mitzna says if he’s elected in the November primary, he’ll pull Labor out of Sharon’s government immediately, which could force early elections at the start of 2003. In other words, Ben-Eliezer must stay with Sharon AND gain back 30% against his leadership rival within a month for the Sharon government to survive into 2003. Hmm... Is that the fat lady I hear singing? <span id='postcolor'> Actually Bernadotte, that's the Fat Man you hear singing.

You can be sure that things are looking pretty bad when the government decides to activate a little hodunk light infantry unit like mine! They didn't even avtivate us during Desert Storm! We are just a bunch of college kids and a few crusty old timers who should have retired a long time ago. Very few people have any previous active duty service. This is majorly fucked up. My whole college plan just went down the drain. My graduation date will have to be pushed back another year if I'm even still alive! If they send us into combat we are dead meat! Our CO is a fucking retard! Ok, the reason for this post is not to really make an announcement of my deployment but rather a last opportunity for me to make a public "fuck you statement". Here we go: Fuck all you mother fuckers who voted for that war mongering money hungry oil sucking shit bag in the White House. Fuck all you fucking arm chair generals who supports his insane crusade. You'd be singing a different tune if your own ass was on the line! Fight your own fucking wars if you had any fucking balls! Fuck Saddam Hussein, Fuck Osama Bin Laden and his Al Qaeda, Fuck Iraq, and Fuck the entire Middle East!! It sounds like maybe your a LITTLE scared. Or are you just a chicken shit. What the fuck did you join the service for? To put in an easy couple of years and collect a paycheck? I voted for that war mongering money hungry oil sucking shit bag in the White House, and let me tell you something you worthless excuse for an enlisted man. I would gladly serve my country again under President George W. Bush but my age won't allow that. It may take being under fire to make a man out of you because it's obvious you're still a little baby boy. Grow up and take hold of your responsiblities. Your cry for help is a pitiful reaction to having just shit in your pants. You refer to your outfit as a hodunk little infantry unit. God do I pray for the soldiers that may have to put their lives in YOUR hand. May God protect them because it looks like you won't. Your statement "We are just a bunch of college kids and a few crusty old timers who should have retired a long time ago." Man I'll bet I would gladly have one of those crusty old timers next to me in battle any day. At least I could depend on them. Do yourself a favor and don't let the other guys in your outfit know how you feel. And that CO you refer to as a "retard." Your life may depend on that "retard." And more importantly his life may depend on you. You had better get a grip on it and face the music. You could always go AWOL. At least you will still be alive in the brigg. And think about how proud your wife and son will be knowing that Dad is safe and sound doing time behind bars. I actually pity you, but more importantly are the feelings I have for your fellow servicemen and women. Your job is not to determine right or wrong, but to serve your country as you have been trained to do. This world would be in a hell of a lot worse shape if all of our military were like you. You speak of "You'd be singing a different tune if your own ass was on the line." Well my ass has been on the line. Ever hear of Vietnam? I didn't believe in that war at the time but I went and did my duty along with thousands of others. Never did I hear the likes of your post back then and it saddens me to think that you are an example of todays military. I pray that your not. I do wish you well and somehow think that once you experience the heat of battle, if that be the case, that you will come out on the other side a better man. And God forbid that you don't return. I have no words to ease the thought of that for anyone. Be a man! Good luck Sirloins

Breaking my self imposed ban, I wish all of you and your families a happy Thanksgiving. Something to really think about..... If we could shrink the earth's population to a village of precisely 100 people, with all the existing human ratios remaining the same, it would look something like the following. There would be: 57 Asians 21 Europeans 14 from the Western Hemisphere, both north and south 8 would be Africans 52 would be female 48 would be male 70 would be non-white 30 would be white 70 would be non-Christian 30 would be Christian 89 would be heterosexual 11 would be homosexual 6 people would possess 59% of the entire world's wealth and all 6 would be from the United States. 80 would live in substandard housing 70 would be unable to read 50 would suffer from malnutrition 1 would be near death; 1 would be near birth; 1 (yes, only 1) would have a college education; 1 (yes, only 1) would own computer. When one considers our world from such a compressed perspective, the need for acceptance, understanding and education becomes glaringly apparent. And, therefore . . . If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roofoverhead and a place to sleep, you are richer than 75% of this world. If you woke up this morning with more health than illness, you are more blessed than the million who will not survive this week. If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a dish someplace, you are among the top 8% of the world's wealthy. If you can attend a religious meeting without fear of harassment, arrest, torture, or death, you are more blessed than three billion people in the world. If you have never experienced the danger of battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture, or the pangs of starvation, you are ahead of 500 million people in the world. If your parents are still alive and still married, you are very rare, even in the United States. If you can hold someone's hand, hug them, or even touch them on the shoulder, you are blessed because you can offer a healing touch. If you hold up your head with a smile on your face and are truly thankful, you are blessed because the majority can, but most do not. If you can read this message, you have just received a double blessing in that someone was thinking of you, and furthermore, you are more blessed than over two billion people in the world who cannot read at all. As you read this and are reminded how life is in the rest of the world, remember just how blessed you really are! Happy Thanksgiving Sirloins

Killing off the terrorists is a temporary solution that will only widen the rift and create new terrorists in the future, even more determined then the ones today. What we must do is not to try to cure the symptoms, but try to cure the disease. And that cannot be solved by force but by mutual understanding.<span id='postcolor'> I can't agree with it's the US's or western countries fault. The only reason we're over there is due to their actions, not our policies or economics. We are dealing with terrorist who teach their children in school that killing Americans is a good thing. You talk about mutual understanding. Wouldn't that be nice. But why is it always looked at from our inability to understand them, while no mention of them trying to understand us? Force may be the way to mutual understanding. Sad, but true.
