    Hello Suma, I would agree with Suchey, at SHoP we are experiencing the same issues. Below is a post I made in the buglist under the Resistance area. </span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">Concerns dedicated server and ghosting. As a side note..I have had several crashes and have forgotten where to send the .rpt to for BIS to look at. Can anyone direct me to that address. Thanks in advance. <span id='postcolor'> Disconnects in this version do not always update correctly, I would assume due to the values you guys have assigned for updating. I have instructed all my admins to boot zero pingers to clear connections, I don't see how keeping the zero pingers allows them to reconnect. Most of the time they log on to TeamSpeak and say they can't reconnect. Disconnects are a way of life for online games, some more than others. I do not believe a high disconnect time is beneficial to the game. I play on servers around the world and I do not get disconnected. It is my opinion the conditions of the players pc and the players connection is the main cause for disconnects from OFP or OFP:R. Anything can cause a disconnect, from video, audio, network, and even mouse drivers. I have found that Directx can also cause issues, regardless if the game is using Sockets or DX. All we can do is make sure the OS and the drivers are current and are compatible with the game we play. The majority of cases I have tried to work on are connection related, in both OFP and OFP:R. Which I assume you guys already know. My point to all of this is... I can handle the disconnects, it is the server not refreshing that stops ppl from reconnecting to the server that concerns me. I know you guys are working things out, and for that I appreciate it. OFP:R is an upgrade and a good one at that. I recognize that ALL games that come out will not be perfect for ALL players.     Tech question about all see . . .

    What usually happen is, your connection will desync and ppl will shoot you and you not die at first. I have seen ppl die after 2 mins of running around from a guy not even at that area anymore. Having put 2 clips into a guy and watch him run off, is frustrating. If you were getting shot and didn't see the person who killed you, then most likely they either shot you from a distance or shot you and you were desynced and died later.     Thanks go to Hees for...what he calls his basic code to allow ASE to detect OFP:Resistance servers. Well, I personally didn't understand all of what you had typed Hees. However, Savage helped me to setup ASE to find OFP:R servers using your code snippet. Since I could not initially understand what was typed I made a tutorial for those of us who don't quite get it, using your information. I hope you don't mind. There is a little tutorial with screen shots included. I can probably answer some questions regarding what I put on the webpage, however any code related questions needs to be pointed at Hees. No doubt UDPSoft provides the best game browser up to date. What many of you are missing is the fact that the developer of ASE made a statement that he won't/can't support OFP:R due to the non public server concept. *This has proven to be wrong*. Obviously BIS changed the game name to be announced to the master server from "opflash" to "opflashr". This seems to be the reason why ASE standard OFP filters can't find any OFP:R dedicated servers.<span id='postcolor'> ...this proves to be correct and ASE can browse dedicated servers after a new patch, then these postings will have been if anything, educational. OFP has a community of ppl from around the world, I have played with ppl from Europe, Asia, The Middle East, Austrailia, South America, Canada, and I even think there was a guy from Angola one time. Â Some I got along with, some I did not. Â However we all play OFP and that is what makes it right. Â I read somewhere that BIS has made OFP to target Teamplaying rather than the lonewolf. Â Everyone knows it is not CS or UT, but that it uses physics for its modeling and ingame characteristics. Â Those games cater to the powerful minded, I have played a CS game where one guy continued to be an incredible marksman game after game. Â He also belittled ppl as he went. Â Not to be happy with the fact that he was currently the best player on that server, he wanted ppl to know it. Â However CS and UT foster that kind of attitude. Â That doesnt happen on the servers I play on. Â I have no doubt it does exist for OFP, though I do not think it happens on public servers all that often. BIS you made an incredible game that many, many ppl play, and many, many ppl build maps and addons for. Â This "community" of ppl are part of your family, whether you want it or not. Â We, the "community" does not control what the end result of a game or patch will be, for BIS decides that. Â We make suggestions, sometimes demands, BIS listens and in the end has the last say in what happens to a patch or official addon. The reason why you made this game is simple. Â Money. Â You may say you love game production, you may say you love graphics design, but in the end its about the money. Â A few thousand ppl that decide not to buy the game may not hurt profits that much, but truthfully, a few thousand ppl not buying the game leads to a few thousand more that never hear about the game. Gaming companies live and die by their "community". Right now, for me not playing the game is not really an option. Â I do love this game, and in truth I already have the game. Â An associate from Germany sent me a copy last week, it arrived here on the fifth. Â I didn't pay for it, it was a gift. Â I am playing it, and I am in awe of the kewl new toys you have provided for us, BIS. Â In my opinion, Resistance is a very nice product. The question has been posed to me about whether or not I am going to put up 1.75 for server enjoyment. Â I am undecided until I can find better instructions for my ASE.**NO OFFENSE HEES/TLX** **My reply.. I will upgrade the server to Resistance, if I can get ASE to work properly. Getting useless spam about how to join a game, or being berated cuz I have a stupid name, or being told by a gnoob that his server is the best online and if I could join it. Every time I go into that stupid lobby. You may ask, "Why not just use the lobby feature in the game?" I play several games that I support and enjoy very much, I don't always want to play them, usually depends on where my buddies are. I like the option of opening up one program to find whatever game I want to play and have that game start my game. I like this option without someone harrassing me, or trying to sell me something.

I play several games that I support and enjoy very much, I don't always want to play them, usually depends on where my buddies are.
