Hi, Thanks for the replies. I wanted to get a halftrack (1944 mod) to drive off the road and slowly work its way through some scattered trees. Left to the AI driver, this takes three days and they end up pointing backwards I started using setvelocity and setdir with some basic trigonometry, to manualy navigate the vehicle through the trees. But the AI driver will not turn the wheele in the direction I want the vehicle to move, so it looks a bit strange. I may have to give up on the idea, as there is no way to alter the pitch of the vehicle either. Any other suggestions on how to help the AI navigate through trees would be much appreciated. I did try a ridiculous amount of waypoints, but that was not much better. Regards

Is it possible to manualy control the direction of a cars front wheels, when driven by the ai ? Cheers

Can I update a global variable defined in one script, from within another script? ------------------- CallingScript.sqs GlobalList = [1,22,3] [] exec "Update.sqs" hint Format["%1",GlobalList select 1] ------------------- Update.sqs GlobalList set [1,2] Exit ------------------- I cant get this to work, the new value added to GlobalList array only shows up from within the UpDate.sqs script. Cheers P.S I did try and search through the old post, to no avail.

Yes, thanks. That did the trick, I managed to get it down to something silly like 0.0001.

Hi, I’ve recently acquired Broadband. But when trying to play OFP at Game Spy, I found the game performs even worse than my 56k modem. The game updates every 40 to 60 seconds making it impossible to play. Other games run fine, is there anything I can do? Cheers

Thanks for the suggestions, I should have added that I'm using a D-Link DSL-504 ADSL Router. I will look for some of the sites you mentioned. Cheers

When playing a multi player game, if you press the 'I' key you get details of kills e.t.c There is a column with the title of 'Players', what does this tell you? Cheers
-
I did a quick test on a MP map, killed a couple of enemy AI. Then flew a helicopter into the side of a mountain and had one kill deducted.
-
No I was alone, but the global message reported it as a FF kill? (two out of three times, it worked once). Unless I landed on a poor unfortunate team mate, two times on the trot But i will test it by hosting a single player MP game, and practice my close insertion.
-
Thanks for the update, quick note. If you kill yourself trying to land a Heli at high speed, low level. Or eject to close to the ground, that is also classed as a FF kill. Ouch...! that smarts

Stewart, I think that any friendly fire kills you may inflict are deducted from your total kills? In one MP game one of my mines got a BMP, but a team mate was close enough to the blast to get killed. So I dont have a clue how this would effect the stats, if at all?
-
Cheers, so in a game with no AI and no kills (credited to me). I would expect both to be zero? So assuming the above, you are saying there is nothing else that may effect the players column?

....Top floor Penthouse suites, spending two hours trying to collect extra weapons one at a time, one new Island and offset BMP wheel axels. Ohh not forgeting the two bridges? Not that I regret spending half the price of a new game on a new Campaign.

Apart from the fact that the game still gets its knickers in a twist when a commander tries to drive a BMP opposed to commanding a tank (shame on him! I still find myself still trying to orientate my line formation to the direction I am facing, plus I had just about every Russian helicopter in 3D studio at least two years ago? Not that I would happily play the Devils Advocate, I still love the game

So can anyone explain the advantages of ofpr......

Darkhawk there was a series of books dedicated to aircraft from all eras, composed by draughtsmen that contain not only plan views but multiple cross sections of the fuselage e.t.c I don’t suppose you have heard of them, as I cant find any reference? BTW Do you have drawings of the WW2 Typhoon and Avro Lancaster? Cheers

Hi, Have not found this in the tutorial but if you hold the Alt key down and hold your left mouse button down over an object, you can drag it round the map. If you hold down the shift key you can group select objects, but unfortunatly you cant drag grouped objects just delete or replace them. If this is old news, anyone else got additional info on wrpedit? Cheers

So harrell at the momemnt we have: "MDRZulu: I am just naming my maps intro.wrp" and then: "m16a2m203 : You'll need to create a .wrp .cpp file, bin file all in pbo file, cutscenes in a new directory, .paa file for it to work just like the originals." Who could possible be correct?

I know its crazy but how about a Russian campaign were they are not devious double-crossing villains. With big handle bar moustaches throwing pale waif like maidens out into the cold, cold snow

Too many Jesters spoil the broth

For your reference. That was supposed to be standard time formating and not face pulling. Also has anyone found a good conversion program for the wrpedit wavefront *.obj format. I cant convert my vista pro files?
