Somehow, I doubt many people on this forum have ever even heard of Twilight 2000, let alone the developers. For those that don't know, T2000 was a pencil-and-paper RPG about paramilitary life in a post WW3 world.

Could you tell us which trojan is alledgedly in these files? A good reference to check against for potential hoaxes and real viruses is Symantec's Security Response Site.

I would say that adding off screen sounds would add more to the level of immersion of the game at less of a cost in terms of system resources, than little animal models running about. From the birds mentioned previously, to the random falling of a branch in the woods during a tense mission, sounds can really add up quickly. Additionally, the vast majority of animals, other than maybe farm animals such as cows, sheep and horses, will make themselves scarce at the site of oncoming scary looking humans. I would say, though, that I second the inclusion of more random civilians would help. But this is something that third parties mappers could include within any missions they create. You know, having a couple of random vehicles moving along the roads and so forth.

Put me down for the Chinook, if only because that's what my brother flies for the US Army, as well as the challenge of gingerly transporting a group of soldiers into the mouth of hell. Actually, one of my goals once I get around to learning to edit missions is to creat one where your goal is to transport in an infantry group into the middle of a large conflict, with nap of the earth flying to avoid AAA fire and ground troops.

Only 56? *pfft* I get Corporal Armstrong killed at least twice as often as that during any particular OFP session. Does that make me the more dangerous of the two?

And this is why I love my Saitek X45 for controlling choppers. Didn't have to configure any of the buttons, as they seemed to be set just as I'd want them in game. Only problem now is the fact that I wish there were more chopper missions, simply because they're enjoyable with this HOTAS setup.

The Chinook was designed to float, such that it could make water based landings in order to drop off amphibious troops. So, yeah, it's a good thing, not to mention realistic.

I'll have to try that, as I've taken a keen interest in the Chinook lately, having a brother who flys 'em for the US Army.
