See what I mean, even people who think they know how to patch correctly aren't doing it the right way!

I haven't seen anyone talk about performance when running all 3 monitors at once. Any specs w/ this card? I guess the only variables would be CPU and Memory since you can only do this w/ one type of video card.

BIS, please revise your patch process. I've been recruiting people to play flashpoint but it's a tough sell when they have to download multiple patches to play online. My friend uninstalled, reinstalled Resistance twice because he wasn't sure which patches to download and install. I had to remotely take control over his computer, download the right patches, and install them for him. Can we please have a single "fix 'em all" patch. I know this isn't an issue for most of us because we're smrt but for regular casual users, this is too complicated of a process. As far as I know, flashpoint has sold over a million copies yet when I play online, there are only a hundred or so spread across many servers. So either the other 999,900 players just don't like flashpoint or the process of playing online is too dificult for them. Let's make the first step easier for the regular user and allow them to download a single patch. Thankyou.

great! Thanks... only sucks this isn't a global thing that can be applied to all maps, not only the ones that have been designed to use it.

Alright, here's my setup... 2 client pc's behind a single Linksys SOHO NAT router. Problem - When a single PC is connected through the router, no connection problems exist. When two PC's are connected, the ping on one is higher then the other to the same server, and occassionaly both computers lose connections at the same time. Solutions - This sounds like the router is having a hard time figuring out which packets to send to which PC. We've had this same problem with Half-Life. We corrected it by specifying, on each machine through the shortcut to the HL executable, the client port that the server should respond to. After doing this, we've had no problems with Half-Life. I'm wondering if there is a feature like this for Flashpoint.

Ok, now I know people repeating questions is an annoyance and a quick search for "disabling parachutes" didn't return any decent results so I'm posting this question. How does one disable parachutes on a Win32 dedicated resistance server?

Hi all, I've thrown up a p4 2.4Ghz dedicated server w/ 1GB RDRAM. I know the max fps is 50 but the fps on my server never goes higher than 32, even when nothing is going on and I alone am sitting in the lobby. Even when playing, it rarely drops below 32. Is there a setting I'm missing that is limiting this server to 32 FPS? Shortbus

I fly as low as it can go. Forget the big birds, give me the small little choppers and I'm gone! Littlebird's and oh-58's all the way! That littlebird addon is great cause on one, I think you can fit like 6 players on it for a quick drop off. The little ones are SO easy to maneuver and get in tight areas. Very responsive to those that know how to control them. I usually fly blackhawks about 20m to avoid trees, pull a turn, whip out that tail, and bring it down nice n easy. And there's nothing like taking a blackhawk w/ machine gun and circling over a city. Scares the hell outta the people on the ground below.

If I can get enough people, I'll host one at the local park district here in Oak Forest. The only thing I don't like about the lanparties I've been too is that they play too many diferent games. It'd be more fun if everyone at the lanparty played a single game.

looking for a lan party in Illinois that'll play OFP

Drop ICS, go for a real NAT firewall and your problems will disappear. If you're using cable, Best Buy currently has a deal for a cable/dsl router with 4 port switch, maybe 5 port, for like $50.

" I mean, are we going to get a stand alone Demo with the netcode, similar to the first MP public demo, or will it be a beta patch for ofp like the 1.26, 1.27 and 1.29 beta patches" And if you do release a beta patch, will it be possible to run both instances of OFP? I mean, will a server be able to host both an officialy patched server and then a beta patched server?

When FragHaus finally got to a good map, meaning one with a worthy objective, I said "great! Finally a map worth playing." Ya know what happened? People were so used to being childish from the other maps that you run so the whole team started to TK each other. I wasn't quick to dismiss the server though, I played for another week and night after night it was a repeat. Maybe FragHaus does have some good players, but they certainly didn't show their skill when I played there. Stoners is competitive night after night and runs a great set of maps.
