  1. oK I also found several other articles that might help. BUT if you look at the page, the 1.42 file is now the SAME as the 1.40 file, there is not a seperate 1.40, then 1.42 avail to D/L.
  2. I have been running 1.40 fine since it came out. I applied yesterdays update and it gave me an error saying my campaign file was corrupted and I needed to reinstall. I checked the folder and all of my EXE's were gone. I saved what I could and deleted everything, re booted and installed again. Tested 1.20 and everything worked fine. I downloaded the 1.30 patch and it too said now that I have a corrupted campaign file and either the patch is corrupted or I need to re-install again. Repeat this about 5 times last night and lets just say that I did not have a good nights sleep. Athlon XP 1900 MSI Mobo Windows XP Pro 512 Ram Geforce 3 SB Live  I have tried D/L the patch from 2 different places and get the same results. I have a OF disc, Gold upgrade disc, a 33 mg 1.30 patch and a 6 meg 1.42 patch. Any help would be appreciated as i am at work with this burning feeling back in my head that I can't play my fave tonight. grrr
  3. I just bought a new HD and went with a fresh install of Windows XP Pro. I can start a MP server in 1.20, 1.30 but when I upgrade to 1.40 I hit the "New" button and it just clicks and doesn't go to the next screen. Game does not freeze or anything like that. Funny thing is that I upgraded to 1.40 and XP pro with my old HD, (UDMA 33) and I was able to start servers just fine. But now nothing.

My two cents worth: I host a server and let 2 friends connect. I run a 1 gig Tbird with 512 of RAM. 1.20 was choppy for me, but what am I to expect since I am hosting. Now that I have 1.27 I am 100% completley playable online with my friends as the same as I would be offline. No problems here whatsoever.
