There are progress indeed, some delays due to real life issues and stuff. i dont want to say a date because if you do things never end up the way you want, (but if i had to, id say within 2weeks) ;) ExA also been working a little on future update to with some fun stuff, since the base models and textures are as finished as we want at the moment though im guessing there will always be parts we want to improve :) -
That is some great work guys, looking forward to fly around in that thing :D

2unDHn_xofg Well, i felt like you had been without any news for a while now, things are progressing really well i feel its really close to being finished now. thought id share a "IED" test i did today, things will be balanced and tweaked and worked on even more the coming week hoping to have it out to you all really soon. -

Compatible with ACE and ACRE.. most likely yes. i play with ACE and ACRE so thats what i want to see, but we are also thinking of the people not using those addons to. -

So, ExplosiveAids wanted me to put some images from Arma 2, but i did one better ;) been working on a crude setup, basic config and been playing around a bit with animating it a little. its looking good so far atleast, see what it looks like with textures later on. hope you like it! 1CiBWKed_aw -
ExA HH-60G So, i just yesterday figured we need something to give you for christmas and i started making one of our HH-60s into its own pack, and plan to release them in separate packs later on so if you only wish to have one just use that one this is a quick pack and may contain bugs, or most probably will. and there are bigger plans for this with more updates, but right now we are putting the main focus on the RG-31 since the work on these held that up for a month or so before :) Description: -------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is a Cooperation between ExplosiveAids (ExA) and Stiltman (STI). We decided to start working on a smaller H60 pack, and found the HH-60G to be very good looking. This is the first release and mostly feature exterior work, interior and other things to make it more accurate will be updated at a later stage. This addon is Created with Arma 2 Combined Ops it has NOT been tested with Arma 2 standalone. it has NOT been tested with Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead standalone. Hey, im having this issue i cant seem to figure out, been testing alot of things and gone through all pages of the editing forum here :) problem is that when in cargo of the vehicle the sun glare is going through the body and blinding you, also things in the cargo feel unusually bright, and when going to third person outside everything is really bright before it adjusts. any thoughts?

the 'ShadowVolume - View Cargo', i made it same way you make any shadow lod, also tried copying one straight off the A1 sample model strykers, still same results. although i have tried a bit diffrent rvmats, this is the current and first used rvmat for the interior.

yeah, shadowVolume - view cargo is there with a big box that is bigger than the interior. ---------- Post added at 06:29 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:13 PM ---------- hmm, unsure if this fixed it or not. but i had a look at the "view - cargo - geometry" lod, and it was exactly the same in my model as the "shadowvolume - view cargo", (big square hard edge) so i tried copy parts of the view geometry to the view cargo one, not entirely sure but feel like the "seethrough sun" is gone. white parts inside the cabin still shine bright like they were affected by sunlight though and exiting or 3rd person is really bright before adjusting. could the "view - cargo - geometry" have made the issue of the sun?

Do proxies need/use multiple res LODS?

I have a question about this to, which is pretty much like the original one but not. I have my main model and a proxy both have multiple lods, but it still only shows lod1 from the proxy at all distances. and buldozer always show the lod1 proxy object on all lods. -

We are monitoring this closely to get in as much detail as possible without going crazy on the polys. So far what you see in the rendered photos is around 15000points and 14000faces in total. so alot of what makes it awesome is the textures. but we are aiming to be on the very limit on detail, to make it as good as possible and still be very usable ;) -

Ok some things ive noted with latest release, dont think ive seen anyone post them so far. #1 Ejecting from the plane only shoots the pilot up in the air, the WSO is still back in the chair (noticed this while i was WSO ejecting and seeing myself go down with plane) tested multiple times and diffrent versions of the plane, also noted the liferaft gets created even on land, giving of some nice wave sounds. #2 Does the WSO have no real function now? as i see all the weapons are moved to the pilot, including missiles giving the WSO no function. #3 and by this if you are WSO and have an AI drive, your head moves with the AI pilot, even of you look around your head moves automatically when the pilot looks. had same problem with my blackhawk gunner on my addon becouse he had no weapon assigned to him. This is all tested without MMA, and removed old fz_f18 ;) and on blank Utes map -
I think, that when its done, and people really want a green version to we will probably supply one ;) but from now and until it is finished i think you will only see the tan one. unless ExA gets really bored or something :P for the seating, its really hard to find good ref images of the interior of the MK5, but i think at the moment its 2+6 atleast.

@FLv*VeNoM*, yeah the strykers are still in progress, but got put on hold becouse of the rapid deployment of the hmmwvs. hopefully i will get some time to finish them of. @Laqueesha: nice eye there spotting the US bag ;) going to talk to ExA about more stayback signs and the bag.

Alright, so ive been working on converting the 1.2 pack for a while now, in between Work and other addon work, it is not finished yet. But. I thought i would release what i got, i think i got most bugs and kinks ironed out on these. Featuring the M998 Troop Carrier (unarmed) and the M998 USMC Scout OIF. The armed troop carrier is what i have left to work on, so i made this the 1.1.5 pack, since there are still some things missing from 1.2 :D I hope you will have fun with this, and like it. changes might be made for the final 1.2 release but i guess you are happy just to have something new to play with? First page updated @Pauliesss: yeah, the gunner death animation is on the todo list, forgot about it for this release but will be in the 1.2.

@(ST6)Predator Well you are right, it has its own faction and that could change in the future. But i feel that since there are like 13versions (reskins) it will really clog up the list of units if i put it into for example USMC. and since i put in all the ACE variants to thats 13x3 that would end up in the list of air units, so if you would want another plane you have to scroll through all the A10 first then find your plane ;) so basically its made for Easier Access. @Sickboy Well thank you and the team for the best addon out there ;) really hard to play without it as being a user since arma 1. So all my addons will if possible have some kind of ACE support, but i also think about the people that dont use it and try to make them happy to. :D

Ok, found the problem there :) seems i had the old pbo still running in another mod folder so i did not see the error message. fixed and uploaded on the first page, also combined both into one file for easier download, so just use the one you need. hope it works for you this time :D @Foxhound, sorry for the hassle ;)

@Foxhound, as always thnx. For the ones with the Transparent plane, thats the new Nanoskin camouflage, that turns you invisible, but the weapons makers couldnt afford it ;) But, for the more serious things, what version of arma do you run? A2, OA, CO? i run Combined Ops so i use CO ACE2 which could be the problem perhaps.

Ok, well for you that have problems with this and ace, ive updated the first page with a new version that fixes the "Not show in ace" problem which was that ACE has hidden the original A-10 (arma2). But, i also added another version that also adds the ACE versions CBU-87 and Mk.82 but with the STI textures ;) and any missions made with the old A-10s should work with the ACE version to, do not use both of them choose either nonace or ace. so i hope you all can play this with ACE again, have fun.

Hey both of you, we are still here and not dead, and not moved on to some other game ;) and from what i know ExA has not yet gotten arma 2, so he have not left you for that game hehe. But both ExA and me has had alot of work to do, for me its starting to clear up hence ive started on the 1.2 pack for arma 2 again to get it finished. ExA is still working alot and have not had to much time for modeling since he does modeling, animation stuff for work. but he said that he has not forgotten us and or left us ;) when next release will be finished is unsure but it will still feature the GMV model as seen above, in M2 and M134 builds and i am pretty sure there will be at least 1more still unknown model.

This was meant for something private for myself and clan, but i figure i could release it so others might have fun with it to. Description: -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Since ACE2 added the Blackhawk variant UH60M ive always wanted one with miniguns, so i started to look at the A1 sample models and found that it had miniguns, then it kind of went a bit more than just miniguns Using the ESSS "External Stores Support System" with its four pylons to support everything from External fuel tanks, FFAR pods to Hellfire's. in the ACE2 version it does not have any optics or cameras making the Hellfire version only have LOAL fire modes so you can fire on other laser designators but not lock onto anything yourself. This is a cut and paste job mostly from the different Arma 1 sample models. but using the rvmat and other files from Arma 2 and to me it looks pretty much like the UH60M that ACE2 uses, with main differences being the cockpit since the "L" version uses the older analog and "M" the newer MFD displays. Important Note There are bugs, and it is not perfect yet. but im releasing it to get some fresh eyes in finding them Also this is not perfect replicas, i only work with what i have at hands, even though i wouldnt mind having them authentic. UH-60L Versions: -------------------------------------------------------------------------- UH-60L with 2x M134 Miniguns UH-60L with 2x M134 Miniguns, 38x FFAR/Hydra UH-60L with 38x FFAR/Hydra, 8x AGM-114K Hellfire II UH-60L with 38x FFAR/Hydra, 2x External Fuel tanks (so far only cosmetic) UH-60Q "Medevac" with space for 1medic and 4wounded.
