Cross hairs missing and can't go to 3rd person view. Ok what did I do and how can i fix it? help please it is driving my nuts.

how do i edit missions that i got from playing with others. I got this one that is great but there are a few things that i want to change, so is there anyone out there that can help? I need to know how to add things and chang things. please help if you can and thanks for any thing you can do.
