List of problems in US version...

While its great that you report these issues so that BIS solves them i recommand you search the http://bugs.armed-assault.net/main_page.php database to see if these issues are known issues and if not report them there. That database BIS uses to keep track of there current issues

    Combat Ops

Are you really believe in that ? A publisher decides what developer should or shouldn't include in his copyrighted product ? Infact thats exactly the case, when signing a contract, a publisher can demand that certain rights are in the contract regarding the distribution of exclusive content and also when certain content can be made available global.

    Combat Ops

Don't expect a release today or this week. I expect it to be the same as with the 505 games version. The patch (1.07) will probably be release in the next few weeks and make the two versions compatible with each other.

    KP CTI Released

It appears that the AI gets stuck in Corazol. I don't know if the east side has the same problem. (I did come across very little resistance) But the AI on the west side makes dozen of vehicles that dont move. See the screenshot

    KP CTI Released

Must say i enjoy the mission specially for such an early version . This was something i was looking for in CTI for a long time. So keep up the good work and i hope you can make the AI more advanced (strategicly) Because that would give an awesome experience.

    Another texture problem..

Not sure where you need 4 7950GTX's for . But that this problem shows up in more then ARMA indicates that it is a problem with your videocard, that does not nessecary mean that they are defect, it also can mean that its caused by the videodrivers your running. So i suggest you try different video drivers to see if that solves the problem

    Graphical issues in ArmA

I got exactly the same issue, which starts after about +- 15 minutes of playing. I didnt have this problem before 1.05, but i also updated my NVidia videodrivers so it might be something related to the NVidia card as well.

    No entry Arma.cfg_3d_Peformance

    Thanks that solved both issues
  10. I have been getting the No entry Arma.cfg_3d_Peformance error ever since i first installed the game (version 1.04) After clicking OK the game does start. But i am unable to change the terrain settings detail to anything else then very low (so i think they might be related). Which is quite annoying as i dont have any grass details in the game. I decided to wait till 1.05 to see if this solved the problem, but the problem is still there. I did not get this error when running the demo. Anyone any suggestions on how to solve this issue? My system specs: Windows Vista NVidia 7900GT AMD 4600X2+ 2GB RAM

    Mouse lag

Hello, I experience mouselag on my system making it very hard for me to aim, and making the game far from enjoyable. (505 version) I tried turning off the Vsync as described in another topic where a user had "control lag" but this does not seem to solve my problem. I also tried different resolutions and settings but this does not seem too solve the issue. Does any one else have some tips? My system specs are below in case thats important: Microsoft Vista 32 Bit AMD 4600+ X2 A8N32-SLI Deluxe Geforce 7900GT I

    Mouse lag

I tried installing that plugin, unfortantly with the Vista drivers of Nvidia you don't get any extra options you can configure.

    Demo Troubleshooting thread.

I'm a complete noob in computer matters, but this are my specs from what i gather: Intel Pentium 4 CPU 3.00 GHz 1,00 GB of RAM ATI Radeon 9200 ATLANTIS (256 MB) If it helps, my current screen resolution is 1280x1024 pixels. Im not to sure your videocard is capable of running Armed Assault. From the AMD website it appears your card does not support DirectX 9. But again im not 100% sure of that. One thing you should check is, if you have the latest DirectX version installed. If you are not sure i would recommend downloading just incase. You can download it Here

    Goodbye Placebo

It was good to have you around Placebo, and sometimes really necessary to keep the forum clean While i do know not all people are to happy about that . May i ask what your plans are for the future? Because it seemed to be (for me atleast) pretty sudden.

    HDR + AA

Like Berghoff says. If you use the 8000 series yes it works (HDR with enabled AA that is). Otherwise no, it has nothing to do with Armed Assault, but with the hardware limitations on the Nvidia card. May i recommend you use the search option if you have questions like these because this topic has been discussed before Â

HDR in Arma with nVidia 7 series cards

The HDR+AA has nothing to do with Direct 3D. its a hardware limition on the Nvidia Geforce 7000 series and lower where by you cant use both functions at the same time. In any game (including halflife2).

    William Porter's Blog

What many of you do not realise is that BIS may not be able to release more info. It might sound wierd, but BIS is most likely talking to publishers right now (No i dont have a source). Often the publishers don't want any or little information to be published while a deal ain't signed yet. This is both for PR reasons and to make sure no wrong statements are given. And i don't think BIS is holding back much with information. Almost weekly there are new screenshots available and often more then ones a month an interview. THere are very few developers that actually do that.

    Latest screenshots available

How confusing, in an E3 video we saw a tank with a mg-gun on top with some muzzle-flash-bug? Are there versions with and without the mg gun on top? Â That wasn't a E3 build if im correct but a newer version

    ArmA Progress Updates

But that won't make the game sell. If the game features aren't worked out well except the removing of the engine limitations. And one of the big downs of OFP currently is that there are loads of awesome addons but very few of them are used in good missions. And i kind of doubt that will change soon with AA.

    ArmA Progress Updates

The workshop was regarding Operation Flashpoint. As you know Codemaster is the publisher of this game and it sponsered this event. Thats why there on the 'banner' of the workshop (i think).

    AIs behaviour/improvement

Im afraid i can no agree on that. There are customers indeed who will want the high quality graphics and thats the most important thing for them. I mean who doesn't love high quality graphics . However a majority of the gamers luckly still things gameplay is one of the most important factors. Because this is what will keep gamers playing for a longer period of time. If the gameplay sucks the gamers will put the game away soon after buying it (how else would you explain the succesful selling of the GTA series and the dissapointing selling of for instead Quake4). AI is a important part of this gameplay. The AI can either make or break a game. Depending on the quality of this AI you play a game differently. Take for instead GRAW, while the AI is far from perfect they were able to create good tactical movements and use of cover in this game. Thanks to this it is impossible to go and play RAMBO in this game. You are forced to use tactical movement and plan out your team movements otherwise you won't make it till the end of the mission. The AI makes the gameplay in Ghost Recon. While AI can take a heavy load (depending on the way its coded) on your CPU. You must not forget that Flashpoint is already 5 years old. In that time the CPU's have tripled there capacitiy and the graphics card even increased more. So thats no excuse on not to include a high quality AI. While i don't except BIS to create the best AI at the moment. I do except them to increase the AI so we don't just get a newly polished OFP. Because while the people on this forum most likely will buy any BIS game. It would mean the majority of the people (and any game developer wants to sell his game as much as possible) will probably leave it alone which such an terrible AI. And even if what you say is true regarding the graphics. AA won't sell well if it has to sell from the graphics alone. (While there not bad there neither state of the art) Regarding your Console commit. I don't play a lot of console games so i can't really answer on your question regarding bad AI's. However i do know many of the successful games are ported to the console and most of the time this only means quality lose regarding the graphics (in the old generation consoles). Also the reasons many of the developers are developing games for the console has nothing to do with cost. In fact the cost of the new generation consoles is more expensive then developing for the PC. The reason is that market for these consoles is most of the time larger then for the PC.
