I searched Avon's exellent FAQ for this problem, and found this:
OFP preferences program not finding entry point DdEntry18 in DDRAW.dll.
P.) The OFP preferences program fails with message "Entry point not found. The procedure entry point DdEntry18 could not be located in the dynamic link library DDRAW.dll".
A.) Either your PC has DirectX version 7 or below installed or your DirectX installation is corrupted. Reinstalling the latest available version of DirectX should resolve this problem.
And as ddraw is a part of directX, I suggest you to reinstall direct X 8.0 or higher.

The links on BIS patches site worked for me. If they still don't work, try find a server to download from on codemasters OFP upgrades site.
Or just try searching in Avon's exellent OFP FAQ.

Yepp,, win XP is the best OS I've ever had. No crashes, no fubar thingys. If a person sayes it "sucks", I'm pretty sure that person haven't tested win Xp.
If you've ones tested XP, you'll never want to go back

I have no idea. A friend of mine deleted his old OS, that was still on his hd after the xp upgrade,, but as I did a clean install, I haven't really looked into this.

Yeah. When upgrading, winXP will save your old OS, so that you can 'revert' back to it if you would like.

hehe,, a real whiner
I love my little puter. Me and my old Betty have gone through allot of things. The only negative part I can find now is my 4gb hd. This is the only thing right now that really pisses me off (have to uninstall certain things to fit other things,, and then reinstall the removed stuff again,, and over and over again... in an endless cycle).
  I've reached the part where my puter is so tweaked that I'm kinda satisfied with it.

Well,, as an old (online) sim pilot I had to have a callsign. 19 99 is basicly unit- and aircraftnumber.

It's all about the way a snake attack its prey, often without the prey even knowing the its 'murderer' is near. Kinda like me when I'm flying against my oponent.
