Let me be the first then wink.gif (If no one types faster than me that is).

Christer Adamsson, born 17 August 1984 (yepp,, I know.. getting old now sad.gif ). I live in a small *community* called Haninge to the south of Stockholm, Sweden. I've lived and studied here my whole life (almost). Currently reading computer engineering. kinda fun.

I have 3 broders, of which 1 is living in the US

I'm playing the drums, but I'm currently not in any group as my old one splitted up (people moved and so on). Really sad, as I experienced some of my greatest dayes with the band (conserts, partys etc etc,, yay!wink.gif. We even went to a studio and recorded some tracks. smile.gif

I've got about 1 years left of my "schooling", and after that I'm thinking about starting my own game developer company, together with some friends of mine. That's what I want to do with my life - create computer games. wow.gif

If that would be the case, I would probably work with 3d modelling or programming (or just a combo, as I'm very interested in both).

ohhh,, and soon I'll be doing my military service... will probably end up in the army or something smile.gif

    Funky.

  3. I, and I think most 3d modellers use this technique, start of with building a high-poly count modell. You then, later on, scale this one down to make it suitable for games (if that's the intention).

As you have withdrawn you original statement, I won't go into this in more detail.

  4. Yeah,, you could make a loop with the line:

    triggerName setPos getPos unitName

this will place it at "unitname's" position.

Or, if you want the mission to end when a civ person is within 1m of a unit, all you need to add to a trigger "condition field" is:

    civName distance unitName < 1

Then you just apply the ordinary end thingys for the trigger.

No, in the old dayes when the demo came out, people became really interested in mission editing. In the begining, we had to write mission.sqm file in notepad, but then some people "developed" a mission editor for the demo.

    Kinda funky! smile.gif

  6. I can't belive what I see... BIS decides to not make a public release of Oxygen at this point,, and now people start to talk about boycotting future products by BIS...

    That's just low...

Kinda like AxleOnline who ones was a loveley site,, but now the people there have really showed their ,, ehhr.. yeah,, their greedy rightful face. I don't like that kind of stuff. turning your back on people.

BIS decision about oxygen haven't changed any of my thoughts about OFP, BIS or any other form person(s)/products.

    llame... mad.gif

    Ehhrr.. what?

I don't care what people think of me,, I don't place my comments to make people think better of me. I write what I write because I think so, not to put myself in a better position.

    Thank you very much.

  9. You say "read the statement on AxleOnline",, I say, read the statement on OFP editing center.

IMO, AxleOnline is acting imature in this matter. Sure, I want to have tools so I can incorporate my own modells into OFP, but it ain't neccesary. I can wait, as long as I know that the people who get the tools will give us nice mods and addons.

To quote 'Pin da Smoka' from OFPEC:

So people, for those of you who say that releasing these will make OFP last just that much longer, remember this. Releasing this to MOD teams, will give you MODS to play for months. And, they are using there discretion to make sure the MOD is worth while, to make sure that YOU have an enjoyable experience. So, when you are finally done playing MODS they deam fun and worth while, they will release the tools so you can do your own thing. I, for one, am all for this idea. For those of you who aren't, well, poo on you and your dirty dog too. :-P

Is there a dialog that can be typed somewhere that will set the unit as TRUE halfway through the mission? Thus making the unit appear when you wish.

As always, any clues would be appreciated.<span id='postcolor'>

Well,, you have the create unit comand. Use that smile.gif
