Exactly the info i needed, thanks mate ---EDIT--- Headed back to the barkeep and he just told me bit about the wishgranter... seems i really messed up the story by finding Ghost too early... meh Scratch that. I remembered incorrectly. I already had the "go see Guide" before I had turned off the antennas. Try seeing if the trader in Cordon and the scientist at Lake Yantar have a "special mission" for you.

Its alot easier than that (selection box yes/no). Question is, can our inboxes handle all the complaints?

If you have something to say on how the board is moderated, do it in private. Back on topic please.

If you have something to say regarding how the board is moderated then do it in private. If you want to complain to the moderators, do that in private too. Please get that flamebaiting remark about the moderators out of your signature or you might get a less polite PM. edit: Everything has been worked out in private between Crashdome and myself in a positive way for both parties.

After you turn off the antennas go see the barkeep. He will tell you to go see Guide. He in turn will tell you to go and see the doctor (at Strelok's stash). Prepare to be surprised when you see the doctor The story begins to make sense after that.

Can you get it before the final level?

Ditto. Nothing to worry about. I'm on my 3rd round now. It has tons of replay-value. I'm finding new toys (weapons and artifacts) each time. For example; on my first round I got the 92FS pretty early. There is only one NPC in the entire game that carries it and he just happend to die when some bandits attacked the checkpoint to the south of the "town" (where the bar is). The 92FS is is one of the best handguns in the game. On my second round I found the Desert Eagle and the modified Desert Eagle(unique) next to it in a crate. The modified variant uses 9x39 rifle ammo which makes it the most powerful handgun in the game. The rapid AK-74 (unique) with a scope, MP5SD(unique), MP5 9x18(unique) and the SVD MK2(stronger zoom+higher accuracy)(unique) are also cool toys. I tend to collect all the unique weapons I find regardless of their working condition because there is only one of each kind in the game

Learn to behave. You're testing my patience. Such abusive behaviour was uncalled for when people are trying to help by submitting bugs.

The reason is very simple. I've sent you messages in the past without getting a response from you. So I was not about to wait and "hope" you would read this one.

[*]Morten Gundersen [*]Norway [*]IT-technician [*]Because its so much fun  (teamwork, coop, realism, freedom). [*]Been a member of ASP since OFP was released. Also recently joined Volcbat as pilot. ECP member (testing and minor configs). [*]Paul held me at gunpoint and asked if I wanted to become a moderator or else...

But I thought we were friends, Rho I see what you mean. Recently we had to recruit many new moderators because of Arma and the boom of new forum registrants. Also as Paul left shortly therafter and now Nick, we had 2 persons to replace. We might get one more moderator soon depending on what happens here when Arma is out in the US. I'm no good with speeches so I'll let the new mods tell you themselves if they want to. My suggestion is perhaps make a concrete list of questions and then post them here for the mods to respond to instead of asking one question at a time which tends to start a very off-topic debate.

I also agree that there are alot of good points (and some bad ones) in that article. But I think I have said this before; due to alot of issues with the current database there will not be made any changes to this board's functionality. That also includes minor changes like hiding the post-count. Ofcourse when we get a new board we wil be open for all serious comments and ideas. I hope this answered your questions We dont recruit people we dont know. We only invite peple one or more moderator knows personally and have a history. If you believe your messages were ignored you should have contacted me. I only ignore messages where the person is letting out steam by ranting and the message has no real content. Just because you think you are ignored by a moderator is not an excuse and does not make you excempt from the board rules. Usually it only speeds up the process for perm-banning as usually someone who complain about some punishment in public, has already just recently been punished for some other rule-breaking. He did not say he was doing a good job. But I am. He and all the other moderators are doing a very good job. I'm sure you can. You just proved that we are of different opinions. 90% of a moderators job is to evaluate opinions. Post-restricting people for flaming or post-restricting people for posting too big pics in the photography thread are the easy part (the remaining 10%). Now if you have anything to say regarding your ignored message, please send me that in private and we'll take it from there.

I only see members, modmaker and cwr. The reason why some people are in different groups is because of their forum access. Right now CWR has its own forums. Modmaker is no longer a "special" group anymore. It was used for the beta testing of the tools for OFP. edit: I have deleted Modmaker and OFPN Team. The members of those groups are now regular members.
-
Those are basic functionality that comes with the board. We could remove the titles, the post stars and joind date, but we see no harm in keeping them. Groups should definitely be displayed so people know who the moderators/admins are when they need to contact such a person.

No need to. Its limited when you post

You can stop argumenting for/against the 100KB rule. It will not be changed now. Maybe in the future. Who knows? But not now. Forum rules regarding signatures have been updated. No flaming/flamebaiting content is allowed. Please read

The current rules have been the same for the past 6+ years. They've just been worded differently. They were never a big issue then, I doubt they've suddenly become one now. Just because some of you have gotten a faster DSL-line over the years does not warrant a rule change in regards to the image file-size. Respect that rule or you are free to leave (if you plan on breaking it). The moderators are members of this community too but our first priority is to keep this board clean for you members to enjoy. We do not get paid for this and we do it voluntarily in our own free time while we always represent BIS. We can change the rules to whatever we want as long as it is in the best interest of BIS + the community, and I think the current rules are just that.
-
This is not up for debate. If you need to post a big picture, post a link to it.
-
While maybe most people use broadband today there are days when the net is slo-o-ow. Then there is the issue of slow hosts. The rule stays. If you want to post a big image, use http-tags instead if img-tags.

Unfortunately that setting is set globally by the board. ..... 15 topics per page was the compromise between those who wanted more and those who were fine with the default 10. It will not be changed. You may choose your own settings once we have a new forum up and running though (dont ask when).

I'm concerned with the already unstable database if I were to make any serious changes to the forum structure. This board is already on overtime. So I have added OFP-tags to all OFP-specific forums outside the "OFP-root". I hope that helps
