  1. Okay folks, I have a Picture, 256*256 Pixel in Photoshop 6. It has an Alpha-Channel for Transparency... But when I save it as *.TGA and open it in TexView 1.1 to save it, upload it onto my webspace, edit my squad.xml, I get an eroormessage: Cannot open /tmp/blahblah/flag.tga Sometimes I get around this errormessage (the no errormessage appears), but then I don't have any Logo's on vehicles.... Help! - Which format do I have to save my picture in Photoshop6 (TGA, 256*256, 24 or 32bit)??? - What next? What do I have to do with TexView 1.1 Save it as *.paa or what? A simple-to-understand Step-by-step-Guide wille be appreciated very much.... Thanks in advance....

    Custom faces

I doubt that it has to do with the Custom-face.... What happens if you choose another face (one from the original faces)? Does it connect then?

Yeah, the 256*256 JPG works flawless! Tried everything with transparency, even 24bit, 32bit, 128*128, you name it.... But I found another thread here on this board, that says you don't need to use TexView at all! Maybe that's the problem, using TexView.... Ill try it without converting in Texview, thanks anyway for your help!!! http://www.flashpoint1985.com/cgi-bin....uad.xml That's the link to the thread....

    Help! transparent logo for vehicles...

Sure, but ain't that for JPEG's? JPEG's cannot contain transparency, only TGA, GIF or PNG can, no JPG... I also cannot open a JPG with TexView, I cannot save a JPG with TexView... See my problem? It works problem-free with a JPG (we're currently using a JPG), but I want transparency in it, and that only works with a TGA, but on a TGA-saving Dialogue you don't have these Options (non progressive, zero progressive passes etc.) What Options do I have to set in the TGA-Saving Dialogue to keep the transparent Alpha-Channel in it with Photoshop 6

Yes, I know, I already saw it, but it's too vague.... (at least it is for me...) I really love your FAQ! - nothing about which format to save in Photoshop (256*256? 24 or 32bit?) - The TexView-Part is possibly my mistake.... it's something I'm doing wrong, I'm sure... either on the "Alpha-Channel"-Part of Photoshop or on the Texview-stuff...
  11. Hello, OFP 1.45 (dedicated Server) crashes after approx. 5 Minutes of Gameplay... This way the dedi. Server is unuseable....

"Dynamic Range" OFP Soundreplacement out now!

Satchel, MP is okay, it was the MAP which was not okay! We tested it again on another Map and we can get into vehicles with LOTS of people, no problems! GREAT work, Stachel!

Well, at least when you're healing on a Medic-113 (or BMP) you hear screams.....

"Dynamic Range" OFP Soundreplacement out now!

@Unl33t: Right now we have some MP-related Problems, maybe you can help us sorting them out! When Server AND Client have the soundmod installed, you cannot use vehicles with 2 or more people. Only one may sit in a vehicle!

    Serious stuff

Guys, you are screaming at each other, giving other people bad names... And you still wonder why BIS closed the thread???
  19. That's a shame with the "only one sound per weapon". Would be nicer with 2 sounds... but anyway... Can you change that to a louder "BANG" instead of that "Klack-Klack"? It's really weird to be mowed down by a Tank-MG and you didn't even hear WHAT was killing you.... As far as I know, Jim is in the swedish Army (TankGunner) and he recorded all sounds by himself... Well, that's what his website says... (Edited by Sgt Kabukiman at 3:30 pm on Dec. 11, 2001)
  20. The MachineGuns on the Tanks sound strange.... It sound good from the inside of the tanks, but not on the outside. You don't hear a "Bang", you just hear movement of the bolt-carrier. Doesn't sound good when shot at by a Tank-MG. Satchel, did you checkout jimsoundpackbeta1.2? There are a lot of great sound in there in .wav so you can easily edit them (or even use them?)

    question about gold upgrade

No Download yet. It checks the original CD of OFP when you want to play the game. It doesn't check for the CD when you install Red Hammer, I think.. can't remember....

    question about gold upgrade

Having just looked at the CD-content. It installs pretty much (even the 1985.pbo is copied from CD), so I think you only need an installed 1.0 Version and the "Gold Upgrade" will do the rest.... Not sure, though.... But you need to enter the Serial-Number again, so I think we can install clean from the Gold Upgrade Version? Or does it check for an installed OFP? Anybody?
